Chapter 6: Facing Shocker

(One week later)

Y/N's P.O.V

So, it's been a week since I met Mr. Stark and I've got my new suit.

He even let me keep the fabrication unit I used to make my suit. He said it was a gesture of good faith.

I'm now in the city as Spider-Man in my new suit.

I drop down onto the ledge of a rooftop.

I then contact Peter.

Y/N: Pete, you got eyes on Shocker?

Peter: No, nothing yet. I'm looking though.

Pete is currently my guy in the chair while I'm out as Spider-Man.

Peter: Do you really think Shocker is still in the city? Maybe he skipped town.

Y/N: No, he's here. I can feel it.

Shocker is my first bad guy and he's still out there.

He got away from me a couple of days and I need to catch him.

Peter: Hey, bro. I've got something. A silent alarm went off at a bank a block away from you.

Y/N: Okay, I'm on it. Thanks, Peter.

Peter: No problem. Be careful.

I web swing towards the bank.

When I get there I land on a streetlight.

I then see smoke at the entrance of the bank.

The smoke clears and I see Shocker come out of the bank with a backpack on.

Y/N: Hey, Shocker.

He looks up.

Shocker: Hey there, bug. You're back for more?

Y/N: You're not getting away this time, Shocker.

Shocker: I wouldn't be too sure about that, bug.

He uses his gauntlets to blast himself into the air.

I web swing after him.

(Five minutes later)

After a few minutes of chasing Shocker, I manage to catch up to him.

I web zip at Shocker and tackle him into a building.

A moment later I get up and see that I'm in an abandoned theatre with Shocker.

I feel pain and look at my arm to see a cut on my arm.

It must have happened during the fall.

I look around and see Shocker on the stage, trying to get away.

Y/N: Oh, no you don't.

I fire webbing at him.

Shocker uses his gauntlets to destroy my webbing.

I web zip into the air to avoid the shock blasts.

I continue swinging around and dodging his blasts.

Y/N: Look Shocker, I've got places to be and people to see. So can we speed this up please?

Shocker: You ain't goin' anywhere, Bug.

I continue to dodge his blasts.

I then use my webs to bring an old curtain down on his head.

He blasts through it and starts firing again.

Shocker: You know, it ain't wise to make a dangerous man look foolish.

I laugh.

Y/N: You don't need my help for that. You look in a mirror lately?

I swing and land on a beam.

Y/N: Talk about incompetent. You've had more shots than my robber friends, Jackson and O'brien. And done about as well.

Shocker: Them boys are punks. This is my profession.

I dodge another shot and swing over to land on another beam.

Y/N: Really? With that accent (In Shocker's accent) I was thinkin' rodeo clown.

This angers him.

Shocker: Don't you mock me, boy!

I hide behind the beam as he blasts it.

Y/N: I mock! I'm a mocker!

The part of the beam I'm on gets blasted away. I spin it around and aim at Shocker and use my webs as a sling shot.

Y/N: I'm also a puller, a tugger and a yanker too!

I pull the two other beams down.

This causes most of the interior to collapse trapping Shocker in the process.

I land down on the stage.

Y/N: And that's what they call bringing down the house.

I take a bow.

After that the cops burst in.

Y/N: Don't worry, boys. I got him.

Cop: Thanks, Spider-Man. Appreciate it.

Once they've dealt with Shocker, I leave and head back to Pete's place.

(Thirty minutes later)

I'm now at Peter's place and he's looking at my arm.

He's cleaning my cut.

Peter: Well, it's not as bad as it looks.

Y/N: Yeah, it's alright. Thanks for the help though. I'd be doing worse if it wasn't for you. And wouldn't have found Shocker if it wasn't for you.

Peter: Nah, you would've been alright. You would've found Shocker.

Y/N: Ah, maybe.

He wraps my arm up.

Peter: There you go.

Y/N: Thanks.

I stand up.

Peter: You know, I feel like I could be doing more. I mean it seems there's going to be more threats and I'm worried that you'll need help out in the city.

Y/N: Pete, you're doing plenty. And when it comes to bigger threats, we'll handle when they show up. Right?

He nods.

Peter: Right.

Y/N: Well, I better get home. I'll see you tomorrow.

Peter: Yeah. See ya tomorrow, man.

I nod.

After that I put my mask on and dive out of his bedroom window.

Third person perspective

Once Y/N is gone, Peter looks at all the medical supplies on his desk.

He then notices some of Y/N's blood on a piece of fabric from Y/N's suit next to him.

Peter: Hmm. Is it possible?

After that Pete grabs a syringe and extracts some of Y/N's blood.

Maybe this is how he can help Y/N more.
