Y/N's P.O.V

I've made it back to the Spider Society.

I need to get to the Go Home Machine and get back to my Earth.

I can't believe Gwen and Peter lied to me. They knew everything and they lied to me.

My spider sense goes off.

So, I quickly turn and fire webbing that sticks Gwen to the wall.

Y/N: What part of "Don't follow me" was unclear to you?

Gwen: Y/N, please. Let me just...

Y/N: No! I don't need to hear anymore of your lies. I'm sick of it.

Gwen: I'm so sorry I lied. I didn't want to. I...

Y/N: It doesn't whether you wanted to or not, you still did it.

I try to fight back the tears.

Y/N: You know, you are the only person who I thought would never lie to me. Looks like I was wrong.

Gwen: Y/N, this is just the way things are. You can't change it.

I shake my head.

Y/N: Wow. I gotta say, I didn't know that the Spider Society worked in the area Coercive Persuasion.

Gwen: I'm not brainwashed.

Y/N: Well, you could've fooled me! You think you're being a hero, but you're not. You're just a coward.

Gwen: What?

Y/N: You heard me. You stay here because you're too afraid to face your father. You're afraid if you do something wrong O'Hera will kick you out. The Gwen Stacy I knew wasn't afraid of anything. She was brave. You're not her.

Gwen: Y/N, please. I... I'm sorry.

Y/N: Sorry isn't gonna cut it.

I feel tears roll down my face.

Y/N: You know, when you came back into my life. I thought maybe we could finally be together, but you don't care about me.

Gwen: Yes, I do!

Y/N: No, you don't! Cause if you did you would've told me the truth, but you didn't. If you wanna stay here, keep being a coward and following O'Hera like the other sheep, then that's on you. I'm not gonna join you. So, I'm gonna make this clear.

I step forward.

Y/N: Whatever there was between us, whatever it could've been, that's over. We're done.

Gwen: Y/N, no.

I can see the tears in her eyes.

Y/N: I don't ever wanna see you on my Earth and I don't ever wanna see your face again.

I turn away.

Gwen: Y/N, please. I can't lose you. You're all I have left.

Y/N: You should've thought of that earlier before you lied to my face.

I run off.

I need to get back home.

(Ten minutes later)

I make it to the room with the Go Home Machine in it.

I use the shadows to sneak around Margo. I didn't think she'd be here.

I manage to distract her and get to the machine.

Y/N: (Whispers) Come on, come on.

I manage to get locked in on my Earth.

I get into position as the web lines form around me.

I see Margo and Lyla are trying to shut it down.

Third person perspective

A second later Y/N's Spider sense goes off.

It's Miguel.

2099 bursts through the doors.

Miguel: Stop him, now!!

Miguel rushes at Y/N and tries to break through the barrier.

Y/N: Has anyone ever told you that you've got some serious anger management issues?

Just then Gwen and Peter show up.

Peter: Miguel!

Gwen: Miguel, stop!

O'Hera tries to break through with his claws as Margo tries to shut the machine down.

Y/N and Margo look at each other.

She has the chance to shut the machine down, but she also heard what he said.

It's their job to save lives.

Margo steps away and allows Y/N to go back.

L/N pulls down his mask and gets lifted into the air.

Miguel: No!

Y/N: I'm going home! And if you knows what's good for you, you'll stay away from my family!

There's a blinding light and Y/N is gone.

The machine tries to scan Miguel, but he tears it out of the wall.

Peter: Hey, easy. It's not the console's fault.

Miguel: All he had to do was listen! Why didn't listen?

Gwen: Well, maybe you weren't hard enough on him.

Miguel: You let him go.

Gwen: Me?

He turns.

Miguel: You didn't catch him, Gwen.

Peter: Okay, let's just take a breath.

Gwen: Peter, you wanna back me up?

Peter: Okay, Miguel, as the father of a daughter and the son of a mother...

Jess: You should stop talking.

Peter: Noted.

Gwen: Let me just talk to him. Calm him down.

O'Hera zips over and walks past her.

Miguel: We tried that.

Gwen: He's my friend.

Miguel: That's the problem.

Gwen: Do you know for certain what'll happen if he breaks the Canon?

He turns back.

Miguel: You wanna find out? I told you, her feelings for him make her a liability.

Gwen: You're wrong. Jess, tell him he's wrong.

Jess: He's not. I told you. You let him get away, I can't help you.

Gwen: I'm not coming.

Miguel: You're right.

Gwen: What?

She gets grabbed by the Go Home Machine.

Gwen tries to break free, but can't.

Miguel: Go home, Gwen.

The web lines trap her inside.

Gwen: We're supposed to be the good guys.

She then disappears in a blinding light.

Miguel: We are.

(Queens, New York. January, 2017)

The amazing Spider-Man comes out of the portal and into his house in Queens.

He's in Mayday's room and puts her in her crib.

Just then MJ comes through the door.

MJ: Hey, hon. How was work?

Pete groans.

Peter: Ah, it was a long day.

MJ: Peter, did you bring our baby to another fight?

Peter: No, no. Of course not. You told not to, so I didn't.

MJ: So, you said Y/N was gonna be there today, was he?

Peter: He was.

MJ: I thought you'd bring him back with you, so I could finally meet him.

He sighs.

Peter: Yeah, I'm kinda one of the last people he wants to talk to right now.

MJ: What happened?

Peter: He found out everything. Him being an anomaly, his father dying, found out I lied to him. I think he hates me now.

MJ: I'm sorry, babe.

Pete looks down at Mayday as she sleeps.

Peter: Do you think I'll be any good at this?

MJ: You're asking that now? There's no playbook for raising someone like her, or being someone like you. You just gotta make the right adjustments at halftime.

She looks at him.

MJ: That's a sports metaphor by the way.

Peter: I understand.

MJ: Sorry. You were just such a nerd in high school. I figured...

Peter: I've watched sports.

MJ: Okay, champ.

She leaves the room.

Peter: Unbelievable.

Peter now has a decision to make.

Does he help Y/N? Or rejoin the Spider Society and help them hunt his protégé down?
