Y/N's P.O.V

The three of us walk into the command centre and I stand with Gwen.

I look up and see a platform slowly coming down.

I look to Gwen.

Gwen: I know. It's slow. It's his thing.

The platform stops.

Gwen: Miguel O'Hara, meet Y/N L/N.

Y/N: Hey. What's up, man?

I try to offer him the empanada, but he pulls it out of my hand.

He drops it in the trash can.

Y/N: Thanks for letting me be here. I'm ready to help.

Miguel: Oh, great.

Y/N: I actually have an idea on how to catch Spot. I think I know where...

Just then he throws the trash can at me, but I duck.

Miguel: He's worried about Spot. I'll worry about Spot.

Y/N: What the hell, man?

Gwen: Miguel! It's not his fault.

Miguel: You blew another hole in the multiverse!

Gwen: He doesn't know any better...

Y/N: I do know... wait, what?

Miguel: But you did, Gwen.

He looks at Hobie.

Miguel: And you... I'm just gonna ingore you. I can't right now.

Hobie: I ain't even here. Or here.

Y/N: What's happening?

???: Hey, Miguel! Go easy on the kid.

I know that voice.

I turn to see Peter come in walking along the ceiling.

Peter: He had a terrible mentor. He had no chance.

Y/N: Peter!

Gwen: Peter?

I run over and hug him.

Peter: Y/N!

We pull away.

Peter: Don't be afraid of my friend Miguel. He just looks scary. He's got no bite. You're growing up on me. You look great.

Y/N: You look... solid.

Peter: Define "solid."

He looks at my suit.

Peter: I like the new suit. It's nice.

Y/N: Thanks. Just taking the que from my mentor. Peter, you gotta tell 'em...

I look at the carrier on his chest.

Y/N: Wait, what's that?

Just then a baby swings into the room and lands on the wall.

Peter: Mayday!

Y/N: You have a baby!

Peter: I have a baby.

Y/N: That's crazy, man.

Peter: Just give me a sec. Mayday.

Pete swings up there to get her and she drops down, but he catches her.

Peter: You wanna see some pictures?

Gwen: She's right there. We...

Peter comes over to us and shows us alot of pics of Mayday.

Gwen: Wow. There's alot.

He swings over to Miguel to show him, but he's not interested.

After that he goes to change Mayday.

Miguel: Y/N, you disrupted a Canon Event.

Y/N: What?

Peter: The kid wasn't thinking. That's not how he operates.

Y/N: That's insulting.

I look at O'Hara.

Y/N: What are you upset about? I saved those people. That's kinda in the job description.

He gets off the platform.

Miguel: No, that's the problem. Lyla, do the thing.

Lyla: Uh, what thing?

Miguel: The thing. The information explaining thing.

Lyla: Oh, okay.

The lights go out and I see a bright spot float down.

Y/N: What's this?

Miguel: This is everything.

It goes into the ground and sprouts up like a tree creating branch's.

Y/N: Can you be more specific?

Miguel: Can you not like talk or make a joke for a second?

Y/N: Nah, I can't promise that.

I see a strings form all around the room. Like webs interconnecting.

Miguel: This is all of us, kid. All of our lives woven together in a beautiful web of life and destiny.

I look around the room.

Y/N: The Spider-Verse.

Miguel: Spider-Verse? Well, that's... stupid. It's call the Arachno Humanoid Poly Multiverse.

I look at him and tilt my head.

Miguel: Which sounds... stupid too. I guess.

I look closely at the webs.

Y/N: And these nodes where the lines converge.

Miguel: They are the Canon Events. Chapters, past events that are apart of every Spider story. Some good, some bad, some very bad.

He shows me a hologram of Peter with his uncle Ben.

I look around and see all different Spider's holding the hand of a loved one when they die.

At the end I see myself with uncle Shane, the day he died.

Shane: Just keep going.

Y/N: Uncle Shane.

I feel tears run down my face.

Y/N: Please get rid of that. I don't need to see it again.

Gwen puts her hand on my arm.

Miguel: I'm sorry.

He steps forward.

Miguel: This one, Event ASM-90? A police Captain close to Spider-Man dies saving a kid from falling rubble during a battle with an arch-nemesis.

I see a hologram of a Spider-Man holding the dead police Captain's body.

Spider-Man: Captain Stacy. I'm so sorry.

I look at Gwen.

Her dad is Captain Stacy.

I then see multiple holograms of Spider-People with their dead police Captain.

I look at Pete.

Y/N: That happened to you?

Jess: And me.

I look at Hobie.

Hobie: Yeah? What of it?

Miguel: That's how the story is supposed to go. Canon Events are the connections bind our lives together, but those connections can be broken. That's why anomalies are so dangerous. Inspector Singh's death was a Canon Event.

He brings up a hologram projection of what happened in Mumbattan.

Miguel: You weren't supposed to be there, you weren't supposed to save him. That's why Gwen tried to stop you.

Gwen: Y/N!

Y/N: I thought you were tryin' to save me.

Gwen: I was. I was doing both.

Miguel: Y/N, because you changed the story, Pavitr's dimension is unraveling. If we're lucky, we can stop it. We haven't always been lucky.

Y/N: No, that wasn't me. That was Spot.

Miguel: It's what happens when you break the Canon.

Y/N: How do you know?

He sighs.

Miguel: Because I broke it once myself.

O'Hara tells me that he took the place of his doppelganger in a different dimension to be a father to his daughter, but it didn't work.

He lost his daughter. The whole dimension was destroyed. And Peter was there too.

Miguel: If you break enough Canon, save enough Captains... we could lose everything.

My eyes widen.

Y/N: My dad just became Captain.

Just then my spider sense goes haywire.

Y/N: No!

I see what Spot showed me in Mumbattan. Our future.

My dad is gonna die in a battle between Spot and I.

Spot really is my nemesis.

Y/N: Spot does it. He kills him. When does it happen?

No-one answers.

I look at Miguel.

Y/N: When does it happen?!

Miguel: In two days.

Layla: That's what the model says.

Miguel: I'm sorry, Y/N.

Y/N: Send me home.

Miguel: I can't.

Y/N: Send me home!

Miguel: I can't, not yet.

Y/N: You just want me to let him die?

I look at Gwen.

Y/N: What about your dad? He's a Captain.

Gwen: Yeah.

Y/N: And that's it? You're not gonna do anything about it?

I look at Pete.

Y/N: What about uncle Ben? That have been okay if you knew, you'd just let it play out.

He puts his hand on my shoulder.

Peter: If not for uncle Ben, alot of us wouldn't be here. And all the good we did, it wouldn't have been done.

Y/N: So, we're just supposed to let people die cause this douchebag and his algorithm says that's supposed to happen? You realise how fucked up that is, right?

Miguel: You have a choice between saving one person or saving the entire world. Every world.

Y/N: I can do both! Spider-Man always...

Peter: Not always.

Miguel: Y/N, we all want the life we wish we had. Believe me, I've tried. And the harder I tried, the more damaged I did. You can't have it all, kid. Being Spider-Man is a sacrifice. That's the job. That's what you singed up for.

Y/N: No, I singed up to save lives! Not let people die! That's the job. Maybe we can't save everyone, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't try.

I look around and see Spider's surrounding me.

Y/N: What is this? This my intervention?

I look at Peter.

Y/N: Is that why you're here? To let me down easy? It worked last time. Why not run it back, huh?

Peter: Whoa, hold on.

I glare at Gwen.

Y/N: You were right, Gwen. You should've never come to see me.

She starts to tear up.

Peter: Kid, look at me...

Y/N: Stop calling me that.

Hobie: Here we go.

Jess: Not helping, Hobie.

Hobie: Good.

Peter: Y/N, please understand...

I look at O'Hara.

Y/N: You can't ask me to stay here and let my father die.

Miguel: I'm not asking.

Just then I get trapped in a laser cage.

Gwen: Miguel, no!

I try to break out, but I can't.

I then see Hobie.

Hobie: (Mouths) Peter Pan, your palms.

I put my hands flat on the cage.

Miguel: Just have to hold a few days. Sorry it had to end like this, kid.

Y/N: I said stop calling me that!!!

I use my Venom Blast and break out of the cage.

The blast sends everyone flying back.

I have to get home, but I have to lure all the Spider's away first.

I quickly turn and run out of the room.

Miguel: Y/N!!!
