(The next day)

Y/N's P.O.V 

So, Barry and I are ready to go to destroy Fisk's Collider.

I walk out of the bathroom in my homemade suit.

Barry turns to see me.

Barry: What the hell is that? Is that your suit?

Y/N: Yeah. It's the only one I've got now. Besides, it's better than nothing.

He sighs.

Barry: Okay then. You ready to go?

I nod.

Y/N: Let's do it.

He and I then head off to Brooklyn.

(One hour later)

(Brooklyn, New York) 

We're now in Brooklyn and we walk through the abandoned subway.

Y/N: Wait, I know this place. My uncle brought me down here a couple of days ago.

Barry: Really?

I nod.

Barry: Okay. Well, I've been doing research and it seems this is the fastest way down to the Collider.

Y/N: Hopefully, Fisk doesn't know we're coming.

I manage to stick to edge, but then I fall.

As we make our way further in we stop and look around.

Barry: Watch out!

He tackles me out of the way as a giant creature bursts through the wall behind us.

Barry picks me up and swings us into the next room.

Y/N: Whoa. What the hell was that?

Barry: Oh, yeah... I forgot to mention, I wasn't the only one who came through the portal and ended up here. That's Green Goblin, he's one of my enemies.

We stand up.

Y/N: Green Goblin? Great.

Goblin charges at us and we both jump out of the way.

I land on the wall and stick to it.

Y/N: Yes! I'm finally sticking to the wall.

I run across it and fall off.

Y/N: Ow. Well, it was fun while it lasted all of two seconds!

Barry fights with Goblin and I try to use my webs to slow him down.

The fight spills into the Collider room and I fall down.

I manage to stick to the side for a moment before falling.

Y/N: Aaaahhhh!!!!!

Just then I get caught by Barry and he swings me to safety.

We land on a scaffolding site.

He puts me down and I sit infront of him.

Barry: Well, that wasn't very graceful.

I sigh.

Y/N: Yeah, I know.

Barry: Okay... look, you should stay here.

Y/N: What? We're supposed to do this together.

Barry: We can't work together if Green Goblin kills you.

Y/N: Damn it. You're right.

Barry: Look, just wait here for me.

Y/N: Okay.

We feel a rumble.

Barry: I'm just gonna get up and get control of the beam, then you can come up and take over for me. Don't move.

He jumps up onto the ledge and looks back at me.

Barry: See ya in a bit.

He web zips away and jumps through the scaffolding structures.

Barry then makes his way around the machine and swings up to land on the ceiling.

I stand up.

Y/N: Whoa. I really need to get my powers to work.

Just then he gets attacked by a guy in purple with jet boots.

As the two fight they get interrupted by Goblin as he pins Barry down.

Y/N: Barry. I gotta get up there and help him. Wait, who am I kidding? I should not do that. My powers don't work properly, I'll be more of a hindrance, then help.

I duck down and hide.

A moment later the machine turns on and the whole room lights up.

Two beams collide and clash together.

The scaffolding collapses and I fall down.

Just then there's an explosion.

When I look around I see the place is recked.

I run off and find Barry pinned under ruble.

I kneel down infront of him.

Y/N: Hey, Barry. Are you okay?

Barry: I'm fine, I'm fine. I'm just resting.

Y/N: Can you get up?

Barry: Yeah. Yeah, I always get back up.

He starts coughing.

Barry: That's probably not a good sign.

???: Find him. Now.

Barry: Crap. Kingpin's coming. Okay, we gotta team-up here. We don't have much time. You need to do this.

He hands me a data stick.

Barry: Take the override key and stop the Collider. You get up there, push the button and blow it up. Keep your face hidden. From what I hear Fisk's got everyone in his pocket. If he turns the machine on again everything you know will be gone. Your family, everyone. Everyone. Promise me you'll finish this.

I nod.

Y/N: I promise.

Barry: Go. Destroy the Collider.

I stand up and walk away.

Barry: I'll come and find you. It's gonna be okay.

I climb up the fallen debris.

I then see the big guy. Kingpin.

He goes over to Barry and takes his mask off.

The two talk.

It ends with Kingpin crushing Barry's head and killing him.

Kingpin: Get rid of the body.

Just then I slide and it makes a noise.

They spot me.

I quickly drop down and run away.

The guy in purple starts chasing me.

I make it out of the subway and out into the city.

I'm able to lose him as he drives past me on his bike.

After that I head back home.

(One hour later)

(Queens, New York)

I make it back home and climb through my bedroom window.

I land on the floor. 

After that I grab my a jacket and put it as I hear footsteps coming my way. 

The door bursts open and dad rushes in.

James: Police. Put your hands up!

He sees that it's me.

James: Y/N? Y/N? What's going on?

I run over to him and hug him.

James: Whoa, whoa. It's okay. It's okay.

I see mum come in.

Vanessa: Y/N, what's wrong, baby?

I pull away.

Vanessa: Was it the earthquake?

I nod.

Y/N: I'm okay. I was just worried about you guys and Ollie, so I rushed home. 

James: We're okay, kiddo. 

Vanessa: Yeah, everyone's safe.

Y/N: Okay. Okay, good.

I sit down on my bed.

After that dad leaves the room and I lay down.

Mum sits on my bed.

Vanessa: What's wrong, sweetie?

Y/N: Mum, when grandpa was alive and in the Marines, were you ever scared that he wouldn't come home?

Vanessa: Yeah, I was.

Y/N: Did you ever stop being scared?

Vanessa: No, not really, but it's okay. Being scared is okay. Your grandpa always used to say, "Being scared is okay, as long as you don't stop let it stop you from doing what's right." Your grandfather was one of the strongest men I've ever known.

Y/N: I don't know if I'm that strong, mum.

Vanessa: You're strong, baby. Our family doesn't run from things. Ever. One day you'll realise how strong you truly are.

She kisses my forehead.

Vanessa: Goodnight, baby boy.

Y/N: Night, mum.

Mum gets up and leaves the room.

I get up and take my jacket off before laying down again.

I then roll over in bed and wipe tears away.

Barry is dead. And it's my fault. I couldn't save him just like I couldn't save Peter.
