Warm | Eddie Brock [TH]
My. Gosh. I need to stop with the EDDIE FICS but literally as soon as I sit down to write something for today, my brain is like EDDIE BROCK EDDIE BROCK EDDIE BROCK.
So this is pure fluff. And it is pre-Venom.

It was three in the morning, and Eddie Brock was wide awake.
It was Saturday, and in exactly fifty hours, he would have a very important interview. He wasn't nervous about it, but he was really wanting to prepare enough.
Eddie had poured himself the last of the orange juice. He was sipping it slowly, wanting to savor it, because there wouldn't be more in the fridge until grocery day.
As he started up his laptop (your laptop that you shared with him) he saw the screensaver, which was a picture of you and him on your wedding day. It was his favorite picture of his favorite day.
He couldn't help but smile when he saw that picture of you in a white dress. He moved his finger against the wedding ring he now wore.
There was a creak behind him as he clicked on the Google Chrome logo. He turned and saw you coming out of the bedroom you both shared. You yawned as you shrugged on a hoodie; the apartment was far too drafty to walk around in just a t-shirt and leggings.
"We're out of orange juice," he said to you, turning back to the screen.
"Good morning to you, too," you said, going to the kitchen counter. You started up the coffeemaker.
"Good morning," he said, snorting softly. "What are you doing up, anyway? It's three in the morning."
"Bed was cold," you said. You let the coffee start to brew and you walked over to the table.
"Sorry," Eddie mumbled.
"Mhm." You pulled the chair next to him out and sat down. You scooted it close so that you could lay your head on his shoulder. "You're just warm."
He turned to you and touched his lips to your icy forehead. "And you," he said, moving one hand from the keyboard to rub some warmth into your back. "Are not."
"I know," you muttered.
"Jeez, babe," he said. He kissed your hair this time.
"Aren't you tired?" you asked.
"Not really," he said. His eyes were a little heavy, but he could stay up. "Are you?"
"Not anymore," you said, "and definitely not after coffee. Speaking of, did you want a cup?"
"Sure, why not," he said, typing, then writing down on the yellow notepad next to him.
You got up, went to the kitchen counter again, and removed two mugs from the cabinet. You poured coffee in them, adding a bit of cream and sugar. You stirred them well and then crossed back over to the table.
"Here you go," you said, sitting the mug in front of Eddie.
"Thank you," he said.
"Mhm, you're welcome." You took your seat and placed your mug in front of you. Putting your cold hand on the back of Eddie's neck, you came forward and kissed his cheek.
He didn't look away from the screen, but he smiled. "I love you," he reminded you.
"And I love you." You pulled your hand back and took a sip of your nearly-scalding hot drink.
He took a glance at you as he scrolled down a webpage. You said you weren't tired, but you looked it. Your eyes were drooping and you were drinking your coffee fast, like it was the only thing keeping them open.
He laughed softly. "You don't have to stay up with me."
"I want to," you replied. "Besides, neither of us have work tomorrow. We can sleep in together, and I won't have to try to keep from freezing to death."
He leaned in and you kissed him softly.
"Sounds nice, doesn't it?" you asked.
"Sounds wonderful," he said, and he kissed you again.
You put your head on his shoulder again, and he rubbed your back the way he did before. And you sighed, content and warm.
