Valentine's Day #1 | Peter Parker [TH]

From now until Thursday, I will be writing Valentine's Day imagines for three characters: Peter B. Parker, Eddie Brock, and Peter Parker [TH]. We are starting off with Peter Parker [TH]. And all of these are dedicated to Melonhead15. I am writing these as a Valentine's Day proposal gift to my best friend and someone I am more than happy to call my Valentine! I love you very much <3

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone <3

You and Peter weren't technically dating, but he was your date for Valentine's Day.

He'd asked you to be his Valentine last Friday, even though you'd pretty much expected him to be anyway. He was your best friend in the whole entire world; you wouldn't want anyone else to be your Valentine for the day.

An hour or so before he was supposed to pick you up, you were getting ready in your bedroom. You smeared a stick of lip balm across your lips, combed your hair, and pulled it back into a low ponytail. It was simple, but you looked alright.

He picked you up at seven o'clock on that Thursday night. When you opened the front door, he had a stuffed bear in his hands. The bear was holding a plush heart that read I LOVE YOU BEAR-Y MUCH! in bold white font. You smiled, taking it from him.

"Happy Valentine's Day," he said.

"Oh my gosh, how cute," you gasped.

"And he comes with this-" He held up a giant one pound bag of Sour Patch Kids candies.

"Even better," you said. "Thanks, dude."

"No problem."

"Happy Valentine's Day to you," you replied. "I have something for you, too." You grabbed the closed envelope from the counter top. Handing it to Peter, you couldn't suppress the grin that was spreading wide across your face.

He tore into it and pulled out the handmade card. On the front was a picture of Chandler and Joey from Friends. In black marker, you'd written: So, awkward hug or lame cool guy handshake?

Peter laughed. "Dude, this is awesome. Really. Thanks."

"That's not all."

You grabbed something from your back pocket. It was a folded ten dollar bill. He gave you a weird look.

"Yeah, there's a story about that one. So I was going to get you a ten dollar gift card to Delmar's, so you can get your usual two sandwiches, but Delmar's doesn't sell gift cards for their place, so. That's for two sandwiches on me."

"That's pretty freaking cool, actually, I gotta say."

"I know, right?" you laughed. "I am the greatest at getting presents for you. And that's just because you're super easy to buy for. All you do is eat the same sandwich there every. Single. Day."

"Well, don't make fun of me for it. All I'm doing is making your life easier."

You sighed. "True, true." You grabbed your purse, hung it on your shoulder.

"You ready?" he asked. He glanced at his watch. "We need to get going now if we want to make it for dinner."

"Ready," you replied. "And where we goin'? You taking me someplace special?"

"Super special," he said. Peter walked you out of your house and opened the passenger door for you. "Only you're not really going anywhere, because all I did was order a pizza for pick-up, and I am supposed to get it within the next five minutes."

He drove to the nearest pizza place (your favorite one). You waited in the car while he ran inside to pick up the pizza he'd ordered. When he brought it back out, he handed it to you. You held it on your lap, cracking the lid open to see the pizza with all of your favorite toppings.

"Yes," you said, picking a pepperoni off the pizza.

Peter swatted your hand away.  "Don't eat all of the toppings off of the pizza, dummy!"

You gasped in fake hurt and shut the pizza box. "Be nice to your Valentine, Parker," you said.

He picked up some liters of soda at Mr. Delmar's, and then you both were at his apartment.

Peter brought out paper cups full of ice. You poured the drinks while he grabbed a piece of pizza. There were no plates, which suited you just fine. Neither of you minded to eat straight from the box.

Peter turned on Netflix and went right to Friends. He turned on your favorite season (he could never forget which one was your favorite, because it was his favorite, too) and then you both scooted closer together. There was a shared blanket draped across both your legs and his.

"This pizza is great," Peter said, pausing to chew.

"I told you you would love it." You smiled.

"Should've bought some sandwiches from Delmar's too, though," he said.

"Well, what's it gonna hurt to run back out and pick up a couple for dessert?" you teased, making him laugh.

"Absolutely nothing."

"Right?"

He hummed and put his arm up on the back of the sofa. His fingers brushed against your shoulder now. You took this as a sign to move closer to him.

"This is the best Valentine's Day ever," you told him.

He nodded. "Yup. It really is."

And for the rest of the night, you and Peter sat on that sofa, in baggy sweats, over-sized hoodies, and under a huge blanket -  and you ate an entire pizza and watched an entire season of Friends.

And you could not have imagined a more perfect Valentine's Day.
