Okay, like 4 people voted for Miles and so I will deliver some Miles fics to y'all.

To the other characters, I hope to get to write for those soon! Thanks to everyone who voted.

& I want to thank the few AMAZING artists that volunteered to make me covers/art for my Eddie Brock story. I've gotten one already and it is beautiful. If you want to contribute, you can contact me and I will send you the information.

I hope to announce the title of that story tomorrow... and possibly the soundtrack, too. I hope you guys are as excited as I am!

Here is the Eddie & Annie picture I painted today - based on this picture of the cast and the dog that Stan Lee was walking <3

You were happy whenever Gwen and Miles got to visit together. Well, you were happy for them, but it also made you completely sick to your stomach.

You were from Miles's universe, so it wasn't a big deal for you and him to team up. He didn't get excited, he didn't hug you every time you saw him. It was just normal.

Which was completely fine - until Gwen came.

You and Miles were best friends, and sometimes, with the way he looked at you, and the way he held your hand when you both were overlooking the city, you thought that maybe you were more.

But when Gwen was in town, all of that went out the window. You were suddenly third-wheeling. They both liked you, you were their friend, but there was something between them that made you feel like you didn't matter quite as much.

It was in the middle of the night, and you were struggling to catch up with Miles and Gwen as they back flipped off of buildings and shot webs to swing themselves from street to street. They were in their own kind of race.

You tried not to get discouraged, but you couldn't help it. How were you so easily replaced?

All of a sudden, this feeling overcame you. You did a flip and landed at the center of the bank roof; you turned around.

Climbing from building to building was Doc Ock.

"Oh crap!" you hissed. You turned around. Miles and Gwen had stopped. You cupped your hands over your mouth. "Miles, Gwen!"

As you called them over, you saw Kingpin. Your heart caught in your throat. He was back?

You dropped on your belly so he wouldn't see you. You turned your head. Miles and Gwen were gone.

Where were they?

Panic was rising up inside of you, and then you heard the sharp sounds of webs shooting forward. They were going towards Doc Ock, who didn't see them, but Kingpin did-

And he was waiting on the ground, in the shadows, large fists closed, ready to attack them-

"No, no-" You grabbed the small square box that was tucked into the sleeve of your suit. You hit the switch.

And then you were up on your feet and leaping off of the building. Your body tipped forward as you fell, and you shot two webs at the ground to drag you down faster. At the last second, you fired two webs at the hotel across the street.

"Miles!" you warned him at the last second. He turned and looked at you.

You soared over his head just as Kingpin's fists were coming - slamming - down.

"What are you doing?" Miles asked in horror.

You got in the way. And instead of hitting Miles and Gwen, Kingpin hit you.

"No!" Miles screamed. He watched with wide-set eyes as his friend was crushed the same way that Peter Parker had been the day Miles became Spider-Man. "___!"

Gwen screamed, and Kingpin looked down at the body and laughed. He stepped over you and went to Miles.

"Take care of her, Miles," Gwen said.

"Y-You can't fight them both on your own!"

"She's not alone," a new voice said. Spider-Man Noir landed on the ground behind them. "Take care of her, Miles. Gwen and I can handle this, and if we need help, we know where to get it." He held up the device that Gwen had made for each of the Spider-Men so that they could contact one another if they needed it. It was what you had used to call for help.

"Okay," Miles said, voice shaking.

As the others took off, distracting Kingpin and Doc Ock, he ran to you.

"___?" he said. He tore off his mask and put his hands under your back. He pulled you up off of the ground. "What is wrong with you?"

"I saved you," you said, voice lower than a whisper.

He shook his head. His breaths were coming out in panicked bursts. "You saved me? ___, you could have died. You could be dying right now. I-I'm getting you to the hospital, okay? Right now."

"No, no, no." As Miles put his hands under you and tried to lift you up, you hooked your fingers at the neck of his suit. "You can't put me in a hospital, you know that. They'll find out my identity."

"But you're hurt!" he exclaimed.

"Just... just let me sit down, okay?"

He put you back on the ground and you scooted backwards. You were close enough to the bank that you could rest against the side of the building. A groan of pain slipped out of your lips and you put your hand on your stomach.

"What can I do?" Miles asked, on his knees in front of you. "It's killing me to know that you're in so much pain."

"I'll be okay, Miles," you said. You held out a hand and he took it.

Your eyes welled up with tears; this boy in front of you had been your friend for five years. He had been your best friend for half a decade. And you were letting yourself think that you didn't matter to him, when you could see how much you meant to him right now.

"Jeez, you're in so much pain-" He got closer.

"No, no, I'm not," you said, stopping his movements. You put your hands on his arms and he shook his head, not understanding. "I just... I love you, Miles."

"I love you too," he said.

"No, you don't get it. I love you." You grabbed his hand and shook your head. "And I'm sorry if that ruins things for us, but... I can't just not let you know."

He opened his mouth. "I love you, too. I knew what you meant the first time."

You furrowed your eyebrows. "You knew?"

"I... I thought we both knew that we liked each other. I mean, we hold hands all of the time... I can't even spend a moment without you. We do this Spider-Man stuff together. I know I'm not, like..."

You were smiling now. "Can you just kiss me, Miles?"

He blinked in shock. "U-Uh y-yeah, I can-"

You were grinning. "Then do it."

He leaned in, shut his eyes, and pressed his lips to yours. It was a long kiss - a soft, gentle one, and the most perfect one you could have ever imagined. You struggled to move your hands to the back of his neck, but you did it, anyway. He put one arm around you and pressed his palm against your back, bringing you close to him.

When he pulled away, he looked over you with wide eyes.

"I-I just kissed my best friend," he said.

You laughed, and then put your hand on your stomach as you were overcome with pain again.

"Which is clearly a stupid thing for me to be doing! Okay, we are going to get you a sweatshirt to hide your suit and you are going to go to the hospital. Got it?"

"Fine," you said. He pulled you up into his arms.

"I'm gonna take care of you, okay?"

"Okay," you murmured.

"Oh - and thanks for saving my life," he said.

"I had to, Miles. You know that."

He did; because he would do the same thing for you.
