New Beginnings | Older!Peter Parker [TH]
I am running out of Spider-Man ideas & inspiration rip

Every single bone and muscle in your body completely ached when you got up off the bed. It took two extra minutes to find the balance to stand up off the bed and shuffle your swollen feet, ankles, and calves out the door.
Getting down the stairs was utterly agonizing.
And the floorboards creaked beneath your weight.
"___? You up, honey?"
You sighed, grumpy. "Like you couldn't tell by the sounds of my fat body waddling around upstairs." You had a hand on the wall as you went down the stairs.
"Hang on, hang on," Peter said. He ran out of the kitchen and held out a hand for you. You thanked him breathlessly, letting him help you step off the final step. "I made breakfast."
"No ham or eggs, right?" you asked, nose scrunched at just the thought.
He smiled. "No, honey," he said. "I've got chocolate chip pancakes, actually."
You nodded. "I knew I married you for a reason."
Keeping his hand, he walked slowly alongside you as you waddled your way to the kitchen. He helped you take a seat at the small dining table. You sighed, thinking about how you'd have to take a trip to IKEA to find a bigger one before your pregnancy was over.
Because you were carrying not one, not two, but three babies. And you were seven months along. And they were all three inside of you, stretching your belly further than you thought possible. Which was amazing, in your opinion, but it hurt.
But it was a good hurt, because you'd do anything for those three beautiful little babies you and Peter had made.
Peter leaned in and kissed your cheek. "You look beautiful this morning, honey," he said.
"Thanks," you said, scowling, "but you don't need to lie to me. I know I look like a balloon."
"Trust me, I am not lying. I don't make chocolate chip pancakes from scratch for just anyone. I only make them for the prettiest girls."
"Oh, there are other girls you're making pancakes for?" you teased.
"Mhm." He tossed the dish towel over his shoulder and let it hang there. Grabbing the spatula, he pointed at you with it. "Just the four of you sitting in that chair."
You smiled. Grabbing the pitcher of your favorite juice, you filled the glass that Peter had ready for you. You took a sip, watching your husband cook as you did.
"You didn't shave this morning," you noticed.
He sighed. "Uh, yeah... long night last night."
"The mission with Tony?" you asked, putting the glass down.
"Yeah," Peter said. "Speaking of, he is on his way over to make improvements to the Iron Spider suit right now." He flipped the pancakes onto the plate and then brought them over to you.
"Alright," you said. "Just leave your poor pregnant wife to entertain herself for hours."
"Pepper is coming, too," he said. "So you guys can complain about pregnant life together again over episodes of The Golden Girls."
You grinned. He sat down across from you and laughed. "It's hardly fair, though," you said. "She is four months along with one baby."
"Still," he said. "You'll have fun."
"Yeah," you said. "We'll get to talk smack about our husbands for a while."
Peter's face genuinely fell. "You talk bad about me?"
You laughed. "No, baby," you said, reaching for his hand and squeezing it. "How could I?"
He smiled. Then there was a knock. "Oh-" He got up and ran to the door. Pulling it open, he beamed at Tony and Pepper.
"Hey, Underoos," Tony greeted, slapping Peter's shoulder gently. He stepped inside. "Ooh. Breakfast."
"Trust me, he does not need anymore breakfast," Pepper said, kicking her shoes off. She kissed Peter's cheek and then rushed over to you, grabbing both of your shoulders and kissed your cheek, too. "How are you feeling?"
"Huge," you said. "And I never stop aching."
"Aw," she said, pouting.
"What about you?" you asked. "You're starting to get big!"
"Yes," she said. "Cravings are strong, back is starting to hurt a little too often... but I'm good. Happy."
Tony shrugged off his jacket and looked at you. "Jeez, kid. How many pancakes did you eat?"
"Mr. Stark," Peter muttered, shaking his head. He walked over to you and kissed the top of your head, then took your plate.
"You act like I can't crush you right now, Tony," you said.
He laughed.
"Mr. Stark? We should work on the suit now," Peter said.
"Right, right," he said.
"Have fun," Pepper said.
"Don't forget about your poor wife," you said jokingly. Peter ran back and kissed you on the mouth.
"How could I forget about someone as beautiful as you?" he asked.
"Shut up," you said, grinning. You kissed him a little harder and then let him go.
"See you, honey," Tony said, kissing Pepper. Then he turned to you. "See you kid. And Tony One, Two, and Three."
You sighed, smiling. As he disappeared out the door, you said, "How many times do I have to tell you? They're all girls. If they weren't, then one would be a Tony."
"We'll see when they're out in the world!" he shouted.
Pepper laughed. "He's obsessed."
"You'd better hope you're having a boy this time around, then. If not... well."
She laughed again, then leaned in. "Between you and me... it's a boy."
You gasped. "When did you find out?"
"Wednesday," she said. She put a finger up to her mouth. "Don't say anything. It's his birthday gift."
"Oh, that's amazing," you gushed. You held your arms out and she hugged you best she could. "I am so happy for you, Pepper."
"Thank you," she said. She pulled back and took your swollen hands in hers. "I am so happy for both of us."
Tears were in your eyes. "We both got pretty lucky, huh?"
"Yeah, we did," she agreed.
"Oh!" you said suddenly. "The nursery is finished. Want to see?"
"Yes!" she said.
Both of you slowly - slowly - stood up. Bursting into laughter, you grabbed onto one another. And the laughter made all four babies in the room flutter with excitement, and suddenly you and Pepper were overcome with emotion from that, and then you were crying.
And you were really just so happy with the life you were living with your husband, best friends, and your babies.
