Everytime I'm Leaving On Ya | Miles Morales [SM]

I literally am only getting Miles requests rn (that isnt a bad thing). I'm just glad you guys like them!

I highly recommend listening to Sunflower when I start the lyrics in this story. Trust me. The fluff is unreal in this.

You'd met him by chance, and you were so thankful.

Miles was sweet and kind and funny. He was creative and romantic. He was awkward. He was your best friend and boyfriend all in one, and you couldn't believe that he saw you and chose to be with you.

You were walking home from school. Miles was probably already doing Spider-Man things; he waited for the final bell to ring just for this. He loved doing what he did. You loved that he was happy.

You crossed a street, pulling your earbuds out of your coat pocket. Music was already playing, so you went ahead and started to put them in your ears.

"Psst!"

You stepped up on a curb and looked up, confused. Were you hearing things?

You shook your head.

"Hey! ___."

You looked up again, and on the apartment complex you were walking by, Miles was standing on the roof. He waved, then disappeared.

You giggled, shoving your earbuds back in your pocket and running into the alleyway that was behind the street of apartments. You kept glancing up at the rooftops, waiting for him.

"Miles?" you whispered loudly. You turned around. "Miles-?"

Suddenly, he dropped down. He was hanging upside down right in front of you. You gasped, and he grinned. He didn't have his mask on.

"You scared me," you said, smiling wide. Your heart was racing, but it wasn't because he scared you.

"I'm sorry," he said genuinely.

"Why don't you have your mask on?" you asked. "Someone is going to see you!"

"Don't worry so much," he said. "No one's gonna go down this alley. It's full of trash."

"Yeah," you agreed, nose scrunched. "It smells bad. Not the most romantic place to bring your girlfriend."

"I-I thought it could be romantic, you know, if we made it romantic," he said.

"You just might be right," you said.

Shutting your eyes, you leaned in and touched your lips to his. He was still hanging onto the web, and you brought your hands up and held his face still with them.

You moved your lips back, opened your eyes, and smiled at him. He was staring at you in awe.

Softly, he said, "I-I really hate to do this, but my spidey senses are going off."

You nodded in understanding and grabbed his mask, which was bunched up around his forehead. You pulled it over his face.

"Go on, Spider-Man," you said. You took a single step back.

He gave a stupid looking salute. "I love you," he said, and then he was shooting back up to the top of the building.

"I love you, too," you spoke to the sky.

You dug your earbuds back out of your pocket and put them in your ears. Miles's favorite song was just starting to play.

As you started to walk home, you listened close to the lyrics that your boyfriend loved so much.

Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ohh
Ayy, ayy
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

Needless to say, I keep a check
She was all bad-bad, nevertheless
Callin' it quits now, baby, I'm a wreck
Crash at my place, baby, you're a wreck
Needless to say, I'm keepin' a check
She was all bad-bad, nevertheless
Callin' it quits now, baby, I'm a wreck
Crash at my place, baby, you're a wreck
Thinkin' in a bad way, losin' your grip
Screamin' at my face, baby don't trip
Someone took a big L, don't know how that felt
Lookin' at you sideways, party on tilt
Ooh-ooh, some things you just can't refuse
She wanna ride me like a cruise
And I'm not tryna lose

Then you're left in the dust
Unless I stuck by ya
You're a sunflower
I think your love would be too much
Or you'll be left in the dust
Unless I stuck by ya
You're the sunflower
You're the sunflower

Every time I'm leavin' on ya
You don't make it easy, no, no
Wish I could be there for ya
Give me a reason to go
Every time I'm walkin' out
I can hear you tellin' me to turn around
Fightin' for my trust and you won't back down
Even if we gotta race, get off right now, oh
I know you're scared of the unknown
You don't wanna be alone
I know I always come and go

But it's out of my control

And you'll be left in the dust
Unless I stuck by ya
You're a sunflower
I think your love would be too much
Or you'll be left in the dust
Unless I stuck by ya
You're the sunflower
You're the sunflower
Yeah

You paused at the corner of a street, at the outside patio of a restaurant, where a flatscreen television was showing live news footage of Miles taking down Doc Ock. Althought it typically scared you when he was fighting the tough villains like Scorpion and Doc Ock and Kingpin, he was getting better by the day. And right now, he was doing well, and you weren't worried.

Miles was shooting taser webs at Doc Ock. Two of them hit her tentacles and surged through her. He then wrapped her up, kicked her off the top of the building, and webbed her to the side.

All of the people around you erupted in cheers and applause. You smiled adoringly.

"Look! There he is! There's Spider-Man!"

People gasped. They screamed in joy. The crowd got thicker.

You looked up with everybody else. Miles was swinging over everyone's heads. People were jumping and waving, calling his name.

"Mommy!" said a little boy next to you. He was on his dad's shoulders, and his mom was hugging her husband. "Mommy, it's Spider-Man!"

Miles swung back around and swooped in close to the crowd, giving high fives.

You knew he would see you. He always saw you. He could always find you.

When he saw you, you held up a hand. His movements seemed to slow as he got close. He grabbed your hand and squeezed it gently, then pulled you up off of the ground.

He wrapped that arm around you and held you close. Swinging upward, you put your arms around his neck and held on tight.

"You didn't stick around to hear me before," you said, "but I love you too, Miles."

"I already knew that," he said, and with the crowd cheering behind you both, you and Miles went off on your own.
