"Tony. You can't give up."

He didn't respond. He was sitting on the floor of the ship, his face in his hands, knees pulled up to his chest. You were aware of the panic attacks he'd been suffering through, especially as of late. 

It had been nearly two months on the ship. Two months with just you, Tony, Venom, and Nebula. 

For a while, things were looking up. You were all fixing the ship so that it could bring you home. Nebula wanted to tag along; she had no home now, she claimed. Her home was killed at the hands of Thanos. Besides, she needed to see if all of her sister's friends were dead and gone, or if there was at least one survivor. 

You had nothing to go home to like Tony and Nebula did. You had no plans. The thought of what remained of the world terrified you. 

How were you going to deal with the loss of Eddie?

"Tony. Are you hearing me?" 

No response. 

You stomped over there. "Tony, you can mope all you want. You can cry, scream, hate us - whatever. But you need to get up and stop feeling sorry for the people we lost. You have a fiancee out there waiting for you to get hom-"

His head snapped up. "Do I?" he hissed. "Do I have a fiancee waiting for me back home, or am I completely alone like you?" You blinked in shock. "Has it crossed your mind that you and I may have both lost the only people in our lives that matter, or are you still holding onto the false hope that things might just work out?" He snorted and shook his head. "So why don't you do us all a favor and wait for the oxygen to run out like the rest of us?" 

You pulled back. Slowly, you stood straight and walked to the back of the ship, where Nebula was standing, sharpening a weapon that already looked sharpened to the point. 

"Who is he to you?" she asked. 

"Uh, a friend," you answered. "He taught me how to control my powers. How to make a name for myself." You looked down and shook your head. "And now I'm watching him fall apart right before my eyes, and all he wants to do is drag me down with him."

"He's in grief," she responded simply. 

"Who isn't?" you muttered. 

EDDIE, Venom whispered sadly in your head. 

You shut your eyes. "I know."

"When I kill Thanos," Nebula said, "and I will - but when I kill him, I want you to be by my side to end his life."

You looked at her. 

"He killed the person you love most. And I have seen your strength. Will you fight with me?"

SAY YES, Venom said. TELL HER THAT I WILL RIP THE HEAD FROM HIS SHOULDERS RIGHT IN FRONT OF-

"Yes," you said. "We will."

"Venom, did you know that leaving Eddie's body would save me but not him?" you asked. 

YES, he said. 

"Then why did you do it?"

EDDIE WANTED ME TO.

You shook your head. Shaky, panicked breaths came out of you. "It should have been me. It should have been me, Venom. You shouldn't have listened to hi-"

I WOULD LITERALLY BE HEARING THE SAME THING IF I HAD SAVED HIM INSTEAD. 

You shut your eyes. "Do you think we can find a way to bring him back?"

THERE MAY BE. 

You nodded. "I will do anything to bring Eddie back."

WE WILL DO ANYTHING.

You and Venom managed to get Tony home. But he didn't try to contact Pepper Potts. Instead, he rejoined what was left of the Avengers: Steve Rogers, Bruce Banner, Thor, Rhodes, Natasha - as well as a few extra ones you didn't know or barely knew - Scott Lang, Rocket Raccoon, and Captain Marvel. 

Together, you all planned to do whatever it took to bring the people that had disappeared back. And once again, you began to plan for war. 

There were a lot of moving pieces to this battle.

Thor, Nebula, Rocket, and you went back into space to confront Thanos. Tony, Steve, Scott, and the others stayed behind to defend the world and to time travel through the realities. Captain Marvel believed that if they changed a few things, they could change how Thanos was able to get a hold of all the stones. If they could beat him to it, then none of what happened would have actually happened. 

You and your team just needed to distract Thanos until the Avengers could accomplish what they wanted to do. Then, together, the five of you would kill the Titan.

Thanos was living alone on a sunny planet that was full of life. When the five heroes showed up in front of the small hut he was living in, he stood in the doorway and smiled. 

"I did not get to pick and choose who lived or died, but I am pleased to see you all here. Truly."

"Thanos," Thor said, gripping Stormbreaker tight. "Your reign over this universe is over."

"The damage is done. Half of humanity has vanished. The gauntlet is destroyed. I do not rule over anything. Now there is only peace. Can't you live with that?" 

"The same way you live with the fact that you killed Gamora?" Nebula spat, unforgiving. 

"I did what I had to do," he said. 

"That's bull," you said through clenched teeth. Red flickered out of your palms. You felt the shakes of Venom's anger. 

"It is over, Thanos," Thor stated. "Now surrender." He jumped off of the ground, hammer raised. Thanos stepped backwards, hands curling into fists.

As he started to fight Thor, you and Nebula ran forward. She let out a long scream of anger and anguish as she did. You felt your body transforming as Venom took over. Thanos's eyes widened when he saw you, but you did not give him an extra moment to react. 

You swung your fist at the bottom of his jaw, catching him there. He flew backwards and Thor grabbed the back of his neck, slamming him into the ground.

"I swore that I would kill you, Thanos, and I will!" he shouted. 

Nebula was standing alongside you. She looked at you and you nodded. 

You had never felt stronger than you did when you plucked Thanos from the dirt. It wasn't the symbiote that made you feel stronger, but the raw power that came from your grief and anger. You hated this creature before you with every ounce of your being. Every time you looked at him, you saw Eddie's body vanishing in front of you. You saw Tony's empty eyes as the boy he'd tried so hard to protect died in his arms. 

You grabbed Thanos's arms and twisted them behind his back. 

Kicking the back of his knees, you brought him down. 

"KILL HIM," Venom screamed. 

The others stood in front of him. 

Thor smiled. "You underestimated all of us. Everything you did... we are going to undo it. We are undoing it right now. And you won't live to see the end of everything you worked so hard for."

With the sun setting; rays of orange light reflecting on the tall blades of yellow grass, Nebula took a single step forward, moved both of her weapons, and slit Thanos's throat. At the same time, Thor drove the hammer he held through his skull, and Venom twisted his arms until they were completely shattered.

You and the others went back home to Earth. 

Tony was there waiting for you. He enveloped you in a tight hug. Wordless, you both stood there, hugging one another. 

"He's here," he said. 

You pulled away. "What?"

"We brought them all back," he said. "Every last one."

You started to shake. "He's here?"

"We undid all of it-"

"___!"

Tony didn't get to finish. The moment you heard him say your name and saw him over Tony's shoulder, you pushed away from your friend and started sprinting towards your fiance. Tears were falling in hot streaks from your eyes. 

He was sobbing and laughing, and when he was finally close enough to touch you, he grabbed your face first. He kissed you first thing, moving his hands from your cheeks to the back of your head and your shoulders to your waist. He pulled you in as close as possible and lifted you off of the ground. 

You had your hands on his shoulders. Looking down at him, you planted your lips right on his and kissed him as hard as you could. 

"I missed you so much."

"Baby, I am so proud of you," he whispered. 

You shook your head, sobbing. "I didn't know how to live without you." You kept brushing your fingers on his face, his neck, his shoulders, his hair. "I stopped living without you."

"Baby, all I did was try to give you a chance. I knew you'd figure it all out. There was no doubt in my mind. You think I'd ever doubt you?"

You shook your head, still crying. "I love you," you whispered. 

"I love you more than life."

You kissed him once again, wrapping your arms around his neck. 

He lifted your feet off the floor again. 

Venom moved from you to Eddie. Eddie smiled against your mouth, and you laughed softly. You were just so happy. For the first time in months, you were happy. You could breathe without a crushing feeling in your chest.

For the first time in a long time, everything was back to normal again.
