I'm sad I just want to write Eddie imagines

and I want a lot of angst so imagine Marvel is nice and let Eddie be in the MCU

There was a battle on the ruined planet of Titan. Tony Stark was gripping the arm of the one remaining Titan, Thanos, while Mantis was gripping both sides of his head, concentrating on taking away his eyesight. Using all of her might, she put him in a daze. Peter Parker was gripping the gauntlet, ready to pull it off. 

The plan fell apart when Star-Lord lost himself in his grief. Thanos plucked Mantis off his shoulders and tossed her away. He shook his limbs free from the grip of the Avengers and the Guardians and got up off his knees. He was stronger than all of them, and they were unprepared for what he had coming for them.

But at the same moment that Thanos broke free, two figures dropped from the sky and landed on the surface of the planet.

You too two single steps forward, hands tightened into fists at your side. Your red dress was split at the thigh and exposed your low red boots and leggings of the same color. Your hair was down but you wore a red headpiece that framed your face.

Red swirls emerged from your fingertips as you took place in front of Venom, who had traveled with you. Your eyes darted from Thanos, who - after throwing a ball of energy at him and making him fly across the dark sand and ruin - lay on the ground, to Tony, your mentor and friend. 

"I told you not to come," he said. 

"I know, but I knew you'd need us," you said. You approached him, Venom walking behind you. 

"Who's this?" Tony asked. 

"Venom," you said.

Spider-Man lifted a hand up. "Hey, man," he said to Venom.

"SPIDER-MAN," Venom greeted.

Tony pointed to the giant black alien. "You know this guy, kid?"

"That's the guy I've been fighting. Eddie Brock."

Tony looked back at you. "Your boyfriend?" 

"Fiance," you corrected. 

"Oh. Congratulations," Peter said. 

"Thank you," you responded.

Tony sighed and blinked. "Okay. Great. We're all going to die."

Thanos was getting back up. He launched himself off the ground and was leaping towards the group. 

"Heads up!" you said, red flaming out of your hands and up your arms. 

Tony turned around, mask going over his face. "Get the gauntlet off of him."

"Got it," you said. 

Venom jumped over you and drew his fist back. Using your powers, you pushed Venom in the air to help him. The impact on Thanos was more than the Titan was expecting; he fell backwards, a soft grunt coming out of him on impact. 

He stood up, hand on the back of his neck. He rolled his head, a loud crack coming from the movement. He smiled. "What kind of creature are you then?" 

"ONE MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU," he replied. 

"We'll see." He took a step forward, hand wearing the gauntlet raised.

With your palms facing the ground, you rose off the floor and landed in front of Venom. You moved your hands, pulling chunks of rock and stone off the ground and piling them around Thanos, locking him in place. He used his fists to smash through them.

While you worked on burying him, Spider-Man swung by, wrapping webs around him. They didn't keep him from moving, but they slowed his movements enough so that when Tony as coming, firing blasts around the Titan to blind him, that Mantis, Nebula, and finally, Doctor Strange were able to surround him and fight him. 

You looked up at Venom and nodded at him, telling him to join the others in the fight. You stood you ground and kept working. No matter what you did, he would not stay buried. Doctor Strange's magic was the only one that apparently challenged him at all; everyone else was easy to push away. 

When Venom joined, he was another strong threat to Thanos. Watching them engage in a fist-to-fist combat was hard. You were worried, especially when Thanos began to tear Venom off of Eddie.

"A symbiote," Thanos said. "You're nothing but a parasite latched onto a pathetic human."

"PARASITE?" roared Venom, who gripped Thanos by the jaw, lifted him off the ground, and slammed him into the dirt. 

Thanos kept his hand on Venom's flesh, though, and he began to rip and tear. You couldn't stand to watch it as he ripped far enough to expose Eddie's screaming, pained face. You stopped shifting the rubble to bury him and instead ran to their aid.

Screaming in anger, you lifted Venom off of Thanos. The Titan was standing and facing you now.

Planting two feet firmly on the ground, you threw your palms forward and pushed Thanos away from you with a ray of red energy. 

The energy surrounded Thanos, locking him in place. Using all of your strength, you kept him there. Tony ran forward with Spider-Man at his heels. Venom was back in one piece again, locking his fingers around the bottom of the gauntlet. 

But Thanos wasn't out of consciousness. He was fully awake and aware, and he was not letting go without a struggle. 

The remaining heroes could not pull it off of him on their own. They screamed for Star-Lord, but he was not around to offer any help. 

Exhaustion was making your bones tire and ache as time went on. You cried out and almost faltered, feet slipping a little in the dirt. 

"HOLD ON," Venom shouted. 

But you couldn't. Weak, your powers faltered for just a second. Long enough for Thanos to throw his arms out and push all of the Avengers, Guardians, and Venom away. He stomped over to you as you fell to your knees, looking up at him in exhaustion. 

He grabbed you by the bottom of your jaw. "Witch," he said. "Pathetic and weak." He tilted his head.

You just smiled. 

Venom grabbed Thanos and tore him away from you. As Thanos hit the semi-wrecked ship, Venom turned to you. He held out his hand and you took it. As you stood up, the ebony black hand that you were holding turned to a purple hand. You looked up at his face in shock, and it was suddenly Thanos. 

On the ground, you saw Eddie torn away from Venom, raising his head off the ground. 

"You're a woman of magic," Thanos praised. "Have you ever seen the work of the reality stone?"

"Get away from her-" Eddie began. 

"Eddie," you whispered. Eyes flickering around, you saw everyone on the ground. Unconscious. Beaten.

He had put you under the power of the reality stone so that you couldn't protect anyone. 

You yanked your hand away from Thanos and ran to Eddie. He flipped over on his back and you put your arm around his chest, shielding him. 

"I am so sorry, Eddie," you breathed. 

"It's not your fault," he murmured. He reached up and brushed your hair off your shoulder. "Don't cry baby."

"I do have respect for you, witch," Thanos said, slowly approaching you. 

Eddie sat up and put his arm around you. He turned you away from Thanos, and you grabbed onto his arm. "Eddie, don't-"

"You need to stay away from her," he threatened, "before I-"

"Wait," Strange half shouted. Thanos turned his head. "Spare their lives. All of theirs. And I will give you the time stone."

"No tricks?" Thanos asked. 

Strange shook his head.

Confused, you looked at Tony, who was sitting down, face twisted in pain. He looked at you and, with tears in his eyes, shook his head. He wanted you to be safe. He did. You could see it. You knew Tony loved you like a daughter, and seeing what you had gone through today nearly killed him. But in giving Thanos the time stone, everyone would be doomed.

You looked at Strange. "Don't!" you pleaded. You gripped Eddie tight. "It's okay, Strange."

But Strange held up his fingers and plucked the time stone out of the sky, where he'd disguised it as a star. Thanos held out his hand and Tony shook his head, grunting in pain.

The time stone flew into the hand of Thanos. It was added to the gauntlet. 

"One to go," he whispered. Then, smirking, he vanished. 

Tony looked over at Strange. "Why would you do that?"

You and Eddie sat there, looking over one another. He brushed his fingers against the side of your neck and moved to cup the back of your head. Leaning forward with a gentle push of his hand, your face met his shoulder and you wrapped your arms around him, holding him close. Tears were in your eyes.

After what Thanos had done, using the reality stone on you, you were shaken and terrified. Eddie just hushed you and held you. 

"I am so sorry," he breathed, pressing long kisses against the side of your head. 

You stared at the ground as a black substance slowly crawled across the ground, coming towards you and Eddie. You held out your hand, fingers outstretched.

"Venom," you said. 

Eddie pulled away and looked behind him. He placed his hand flat on the ground. Venom reattached to him.

"He's okay," Eddie reassured you. 

You nodded. 

"Something's happening!" 

You turned your head. One by one, the Avengers around you started to disappear. You couldn't make sense of it, but you assumed it was because Thanos won. 

You and Eddie were standing up, watching fearfully as most of the others vanished. When Spider-Man started to vanish, you choked back on your tears. He was just a kid-

You weren't aware of what was happening to you until you fell towards the ground. Eddie caught you. 

"No, no-" He looked down at you. "No, not you. H-Hang on for me, baby. Hang on." 

"Eddie. Eddie!" You held onto him by his neck, hugging him close to you. "Eddie?" 

He fell to his knees and slowly lowered you to the ground. You looked at him in fear, noticing how half of your body was starting to just vanish. It was painful and it was happening quickly-

And then Venom moved from Eddie's arm to you. The symbiote rebuilt your body and the pain disappeared. But then Eddie started to disappear. 

"Eddie-" You sat up as he smiled. 

"It's okay, it's okay," he reassured you.

"No! Eddie-" You started to panic as you held onto him. "Please don't do this."

He touched your face. "It's okay, baby."

You shook your head. 

"I love you more than anything," he said to you, choking on his words. 

He disappeared right in front of you. Where your hands were once holding his shoulders now fell through the normal thin air.

You were all alone. 

YOU'RE NOT ALL ALONE. 

"What are we going to do without him, Venom?" you whispered. 

Venom didn't seem to have an answer. Maybe he was waiting for one from you, too. But you didn't have one.
