3000 | Peter Parker [TH] / Tony Stark

** WARNING! THIS CONTAINS MAJOR ENDGAME SPOILERS! **

I will stop warning for spoilers on Monday! They're everywhere anyway, so if you're still on the internet without seeing it yet, then that's on you. Not on people who want to talk about it.

This was requested by several people so... you'll know who you are as you read this.

///

Your world came crashing down the minute you saw your father snap his fingers. Dread and horror filled you as you saw the flash of light, and when it vanished as quick as it came, you lowered your hands away from your face.

Your dad was on his knees, one entire side of his face severely burned. He fell forward, limbs shaking, but eyes on Thanos, who was disappearing - along with all of his children.

You shoved away the soldier that had his arms wrapped around you and a weapon to your throat. He crumbled to ash as he hit the ground.

"Dad!" You sprinted forward, tripping once and falling on your palms and knees. "Dad-"

He was sitting up, his breathing labored and his eyes focused on something far away. You'd never seen your dad like that.

Dropping in front of him, you put one hand on the untouched side of his face, lifting it so he could look at you.

You smiled. "Dad? Hey, Dad. You did it."

His dark brown eyes locked in with yours. Although he still looked pained, his features softened. He touched the side of your face, too.

You felt Rhodes touch your shoulder. You turned your head and whispered, "Is he going to be okay?"

Your father's closest friend barely shook his head.

You started to cry.

"M-Mr. Stark?" Peter ran over.

"Pete-" You held one hand out for him and he took it, squatting down on the ground beside you.

"Mr. Stark? We won, Mr. Stark. Do you hear me? It's Peter. We won, sir. You did it. You won." He was sobbing now, too.

"Dad," you said, and he kept staring at you. Selfishly, you said, "Daddy, you can't go. I just... I just got back. We just won, Dad."

Tony, looking heartbroken, parted his lips. "Honey," he whispered. Tears trickled down his face.

Peter was pulled away. Pepper replaced him. "Hi, honey," she said.

Tony spoke again. "Pep-"

"FRIDAY, read vitals?"

FRIDAY said them aloud, and you nearly screamed in pain.

"Life functions critical."

"Tony, look at me." Pepper just smiled. "We'll be okay, honey."

His eyes shifted to you and his head moved slightly.

"They'll both be okay. I will be okay." She leaned in, close to his face. "We'll all be okay. You can rest now."

You weren't going to be okay. But your dad was fighting, and he would be until you said-

"I love you, Daddy," you cried. "So much."

Your chest tightened. His white lips curled upward only slightly. And your father, finally at peace, stilled.

You collapsed forward.

//

Your black dress tickled the backs of your knees as the wind blew. The lake was beautiful; you couldn't keep your eyes off of it. The sun made the ripples of the surface twinkle like it was dusted with sunshine.

"Your little sister looks like you."

You turned your head. Peter, in his uncle's old suit, approached you. You crossed your arms and looked away as he stopped right next to you, his arm circling around you.

You inhaled deeply. "I keep remembering the Soul Realm... and how short we were there. It felt no longer than a handful of hours."

"Yeah-"

"We've been gone for five years, Pete," you said.

"Yeah."

"I missed my dad's wedding. I missed my sister's birth. I missed her first birthday, her first day of kindergarten..." Tears filled your eyes. "Thanos took everything from me. Everything."

"That's not true," Peter said, squinting in the sun. "Look at all of these people here. They all love you and know you. And your dad beat... your dad beat Thanos, which was all he wanted to do."

"But Dad isn't here," you whispered. "And he should be."

"You know... all he wanted was a world where both of his kids could be alive and know each other." You looked at Peter. "And he got that." He leaned in and pressed his lips to your forehead. You shut your eyes for a brief moment. "Come inside, Happy said there's a message for us."

//

"... I love you three thousand."

The hologram of your dad vanished, and in its absence, you looked to your sister. The message was for her and her only, really - and while it made you ache in a way you hated, you understood.

Your dad had mourned you already. Now it was your turn to mourn him.

Everyone slowly and silently left the living room. You went back outside for some warm sunshine, this time opting for a seat on the porch.

Two soft footsteps made you look up from the patch of grass that you were staring at.

"Hi, Morgan," you whispered.

"Are you my sister that used to be dead?" she asked, her eyebrows wrinkled in concern.

"Yeah," you said. "But, uh... Dad brought me back."

She nodded. You thought she was going to go away, but she took the seat next to you. She tucked her hands underneath her thighs and swung her legs.

"Daddy didn't talk about you a lot because missin' you made him sad. But Mommy told me about you. She told me you were like me. 'Cause I am like Daddy."

"Yeah, I guess I am," you said.

She looked up at you. "You're really pretty."

A smile touched your lips. "You think so?" She nodded. "Well, you look just like me, so you're pretty too."

She grinned, showing a couple of missing teeth. "Daddy always said I was."

The front door opened and Peter stepped out. "H-Hey... did you want me to..."

You shook your head and gestured to the chair next to you. Peter sat down and smiled at your sister.

"I'm Peter," he said, leaning forward with his hand outstretched.

Morgan looked at his hand and smiled. "My Daddy had a picture of you. He looked at it a lot like he did sissy's."

Sissy. Your heart warmed at the nickname. Peter's face lit up and he looked at you.

"Hey, Morgan," you said, "what else did Daddy do?"

Your sister trailed off, blabbering on happy. You and Peter listened intently as you got as many of the memories of your father that your sister had and could remember.

By the end of it, you were holding her hand, and Peter was knelt in front of you, his chin resting on your leg.

Happy walked up the porch steps, a paper sack in his hand. "Hey, kids. How are you three doing?"

"Okay," you said.

"Talking about Daddy."

Happy nodded. "Yeah. That's good. You hungry? I brought you three dinner."

"Cheeseburgers?" Morgan asked, eyes lighting up.

"You got it, kiddo," he said. He handed you the bag.

You took one. "Thanks, Happy. My favorite."

"Yeah, thank you, Happy," Peter said, taking a bite out of his already unwrapped burger. "You rock, man."

Happy nodded, smiling. "I was telling Morgan earlier that your dad liked cheeseburgers."

You nodded.

He continued with, "I'm gonna get you three all the cheeseburgers you'll ever want. I promise." He leaned down and kissed the top of your head, then Morgan's.

And your heart warmed.

You really were going to be fine.
