(The next day)

Y/N's P.O.V

It's been a long day of walking, but Steve and I have finally gotten the men back to base.

We walk up the dirt path with four hundred men behind us.

As we walk in all the soldier's at the camp surround us.

The Colonel comes over with Peggy.

Steve: Sir, some of these men need medical attention.

Medics comes over to help the wounded.

Steve: I'd like to surrender myself for disciplinary action.

I step forward.

Y/N: We both would.

Phillips: That won't he necessary.

Y/N & Steve: Yes, sir.

I pull out the HYDRA device I found.

Y/N: Colonel, I found this at the HYDRA base. I thought Stark would want to take a look at it.

He takes the device.

Phillips: I'll make sure it gets to him.

I nod.

After that Phillips walks away and Peggy steps forward.

Peggy: You're late.

Cap pulls out the comm device.

Steve: Couldn't call our ride.

Bucky: Hey! Let's hear it for Captain America and Spider-Man!

Everyone starts clapping and cheering.

It's nice to be appreciated for once.

(Two days later)

(London, UK)

Steve and I are now in London helping map out the other HYDRA bases.

And because of my acts of bravery I've been promoted to Lieutenant.

I'm officially the youngest Lieutenant in the history of the US Army.

I mark the spots on the map for HYDRA base's.

Y/N: The fifth one was here in Poland, near the Baltic. And the sixth one was... about here. Thirty, forty miles west of the Magiont Line.

I look to Peggy.

Y/N: We only got a quick look.

Steve: Yeah. He remembered more than I did.

Peggy: Well, no-one's perfect.

The three of us go over to the main map to join Phillips.

Steve: These are the HYDRA base's we know about.

Y/N: Sergeant Barnes said that HYDRA shipped all the parts to another facility that isn't on this map.

Phillips: Agent Carter, coordinate with MI6. I want every allied eyeball looking for the main HYDRA base.

Peggy: What about us?

Phillips: We are going to set a fire under Johann Schmidt's ass. What do you boys say? It's your map, can you wipe HYDRA off it?

Steve: Yes, sir.

Y/N: Definitely. But we're gonna need a team.

Phillips: We're already putting together the best men.

Steve: All due respect, sir, but so are we.

(Three hours later)

We're now in a pub with the boys we saved from the HYDRA factory.

And we're convincing them to join our team.

Dugan: So, let's get this straight.

Gabe: We barely got out of there alive and you want us to go back?

Y/N: Yeah, pretty much.

James: Sounds like suicide if you ask me.

Monty: It sounds rather fun, actually.

Morita burps.

Jim: I'm in.

Gabe speaks with Frenchy and they both decide to join us.

I look to Howlett.

Y/N: Howlett?

He nods.

James: Sure. Why not?

We look to Dugan.

Dugan: Hell, I'll always fight. But you've gotta do something for me first.

Steve: What's that?

He downs his beer.

Dugan: Open a tab.

They all laugh.

Y/N: You heard him, Steve. It's not like I can do it.

Steve gets up and orders them more drinks.

After that we walk over to Bucky, who's sat at the bar.

Bucky: See? I told you. They're all idiots.

We sit either side of Bucky.

Steve: What about you? You ready to follow Captain America and Spider-Man into the jaws of death?

Bucky: Hell no. That little guy from Brooklyn who was too dumb to run away from a fight.

He looks to me.

Bucky: And the kid who saved my life. I'm following them.

I nod.

Bucky: You guys are keeping the suits, right?

Steve and I look over to a poster of us.

Steve: It's actually kinda growing on me.

Y/N: Me too. But I need to make some adjustments.

I grab a beer, but Steve takes it away.

Steve: No, no. We'll come back when you're twenty-one.

Y/N: What?

Bucky: Come on, Steve. He helped you save four hundred men. I think he's earned one drink.

Cap sighs.

Steve: Okay, fine.

He gives me the beer.

I drink it, but immediately regret it.

Y/N: Oh god! That's disgusting.

They both laugh and Bucky pats me on the back.

Bucky: It's okay. You'll grow to like it as you get older.

Steve: Just stick to milk for now, Y/N.

Just then we see Peggy come into the bar and stand up.

She comes over to us.

Peggy: Captain, Lieutenant.

Steve: Agent Carter.

Y/N: Peggy.

Bucky: Ma'am.

Peggy: Howard has some equipment for you two to try out. Tomorrow morning?

Steve: Sounds good.

Y/N: Yep.

Peggy: I see your top squad is prepping for duty.

Bucky: What? You don't line music?

Peggy: I do, actually. I might even, when this is all over, go dancing.

Bucky: And what are we waiting for?

Peggy: The right partner. 0800, boys.

Y/N: Yes, ma'am.

Steve: We'll be there.

Peggy kisses me on the cheek before leaving.

Bucky: I'm invisible. I'm turning into you. It's like a horrible dream.

Steve: Ah, don't feel too bad. Maybe she's got a friend.

We sit down back at the bar.

Tonight we have a good time, then tomorrow it's back to work.
