Princess

(Short chapter)

After a few weeks of working at the BAU, the Reid siblings grew closer to the team. They even started to take down walls and let the team closer into their hearts.

Derek became Rouge's first crush and Spencer, even though very unhappy about it, let Derek have his blessing if Derek and Rouge were to date in the future, he was still protective definitely would have some ground rules.

Spencer was trying his hardest not to laugh one morning as Rouge and he walked into the BAU. The team was about to say something when Rouge cut them off with an airy laugh. "Not a word, let me explain first." The team gave her a short nod to continue.

"Spencer and I got a Taxi halfway here so we could walk the rest of the way," she started, leaving out the part about how they only had enough cash to pay Bob for half of the trip. "Halfway to here is a park a park filled with little girls. They thought I looked like a princess so I should wear a crown, next thing ya know I have a flower crown in my hair. Those girls did a good job so I'm not taking it out until I absolutely have to," Rouge explained in a matter of fact tone.

Rouge's outfit

"Well you are a princess in my eyes," Derek smirked at her causing the team to shake their heads in disappointment while Rouge blushed.

Penelope on the other hand almost exploded from her ship. Clapping her hands together and exclaiming with pure euphoria, "My ship is sailing!" She yelled as she ran to her lair as if to get her pinterest boards of wedding plans out.

"How long do ya think?" Rouge asked, everybody knew what she was asking, she was asking how long until Penelope found something new to fuss over.

"May take years," Gideon said as he laughed a bit at Penelope's antics.

"So no new cases?" Spencer questioned since the whiteboard was oddly clear of information to any degree. Not even today's date.

"None," Aaron stated, as JJ and Elle were counting down to something.

When it got to zero, as if on cue, Derek ran up to Rouge and picked her up bridal style. "Well text us if a new case comes in, but in the meantime Princess is mine." With that Derek ran for it before someone could stop him. The team knew this would happen so they held Spencer back so he wouldn't be the next BAU assignment.

"Love is in the air," Elle said as she put a hand over her heart.

Spencer stopped struggling against Aaron's hold, he just looked at her completely and utterly confused, "Love is in the air? That's theoretically impossible. Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, and Carbon Dioxide are in the air," Spencer explained. Elle just shook her head before dragging Spencer away to explain sarcasm and metaphors.

Rouge just laughed as Derek ran outside and to a park. "What on earth are we doing at a park, Derek?" Rouge asked still giggling slightly as Derek put her down.

"When was the last time you went to a park to just, you know, have fun?" He asked looking at her with a childish smile.

She rubbed her neck sheepishly as she mumbled a simple 'never,' under her breath. She was never really allowed outside since her father thought she would slip up and say she was abused or something like that, so she couldn't go to parks.

"Well Princess, that's about to change, follow me and I will take you to a different land," Derek started as he walked up to a tall play structure Rouge following behind. "A land filled with magic and mythical creatures, Knights, sword fights, princes," he continued as he sat her up on an opening ledge. (like the part that's open so if there is a poll or Monkey bars that's what I mean, the opening to the Monkey bars or poll that thing) He rested his arms in a crossed position on her legs, leaning his head on his arms as he looked up at her, "And Princesses."

Rogue looked down at him with a kind smile that melted his heart by the sight of it. She could feel the walls she had put around her heart crumbling down and couldn't decide whether she should leave them or rapidly build them back up. She let them be.

They played for hours, and no one gave odd looks, only ones full of happiness at the two of them. Some even let out aws from their cuteness.

They exhausted themselves until they couldn't play no more. Tired, they leaned against a tree laughing at what happened, "that was the most fun I've ever had," Rouge confessed.

Derek turned to look at her, laughing now turned to heavy breaths here and there. Rouge looked at him too, love filling both of their eyes. They both moved closer before Derek glanced at her lips asking for permission, she quickly nodded a yes before his lips met hers.

(Fair warning I'm bad at writing kissing scenes so bare with me here)

It was soft and sweet, like honey. Their lips moving, slowly yet in perfect sync. Derek slowly wrapped his arms around Rouge's waist as she slowly wrapped her arms around his neck.

Derek surprisingly had never kissed a girl before, he was just a big-time Casanova. He had always wanted his first kiss to be with someone he cared and loved, not someone who just wanted to kiss him because he's in the FBI or looked hot.

Rouge never really got to go outside or talk to people, let alone kiss someone. Her father was strict and believed a woman should cook, clean, and only speak if asked a question.

Neither of them wanted to end the kiss, but they had to for air. They left the park after a few more kisses anf went back to the BAU where they were greeted with silence as everybody was either eating, sleeping, reading, or talking quietly in a corner.

It was a quiet day for the Justice League, but its always quite before the storm.
