Hi, everyone! Thank you for clicking on this book! It's always so scary to publish a story, even online like this. I hope I don't mess this up too bad.

This story is an entry to the Open Novella Contest 2020, based on the prompt in the fantasy genre;

"When all else fails, throw a little magic at it!"

 I decided to give it a go to challenge myself. Else I don't think I'll ever finish a draft. (Nervously looking at my 26 Unpublished Drafts warning to kill me)

I've been meaning to write a story set around my own culture, and found the opportunity in this one! The Malayan  Kingdom was vast and quite complicated, but we'll see what my textbook taught me.

We all know the Little Mermaid. Who cares which version? (My first introduction to it was through a book on the original one complete with a picture of the prince stabbed. I believe this is why I become like this) You get the vague idea of it, right?

Mermaid rescues prince. Mermaid likes prince. Mermaid go to evil sea witch. Mermaid becomes Human, with no voice. Mermaid combs hair with a fork. All those stuff.

So let's see if I can add an interesting twist to it or not.

Off to sail we go!
