"Taehyung, where are you taking me? We're going to be late to dinner," Jeongguk groaned as he clutched on tightly to Taehyung's waist. They were both on Mage, flying to an unknown destination to Jeongguk.

It was odd at first. The two weren't exactly on casual speaking terms yet. Jeongguk had come out of the shower after taking a refreshing bath following training to see Taehyung waiting for him with his outfit ready. It was a little too pretty and sparkly for dinner but Jeongguk didn't question it. All the older said was "come with me" before he grabbed his wrist and began leading off to somewhere.

"My Elvador, I swear to god if you're going to make me meet Zorock–"

"No, of course not," Taehyung cut in. "Let that be the last talk we have about him tonight."

Jeongguk sighed and remained quiet for the rest of the ride. Just enjoying the evening sky with the side of his face pressed against Taehyung's back, the view was breathtaking.

"Close your eyes. No cheating," Taehyung said and turned his head back as best as he could.

"No," Jeongguk said simply and Taehyung pouted.

"Just trust me and close your eyes."

Jeongguk sighed again but followed the older's instructing. He felt the air around them shift and he knew they were landing. As much as he wanted to take a peak due to his impatient nature, he wanted to not ruin whatever Taehyung had planned and shut his eyes right. Mage hit the ground and her movements got slower before she came to a full stop.

"Okay, I want you to keep them still closed while I help you down. That alright?" Taehyung asked and Jeongguk nodded. He removed his arms from the older and leaned upright. Taehyung got off and grabbed Jeongguk's hands, guiding him carefully to throw one leg over and slide down. The elf managed to get off and Taehyung let go of his hands only to use them to cover his eyes from the back in an instant.

"Think I'll peak?" Jeongguk joked, the tension easing out a little.

"Oh I know you'll peak," he replied. "Okay, now start walking."

Jeongguk took slow steps and whenever Taehyung slightly tilted his head, he knew he had to adjust his direction.

"Stop," Taehyung and and Jeongguk stopped walking. "Open your eyes," Taehyung whispered then pulled his hands away and Jeongguk got his first look. A gasp slipped his lips at the sight.

It was beautiful, really. The willow trees were sparkling with lights hung all around. Fireflies gave a green hue to the illumination. Flowers blossomed to compliment the blue sky, almost looking like crystals with their glow. In the middle of it all was a pond that laid so still Jeongguk was afraid even letting out a breath would disturb it.

"How'd you–" Jeongguk started but need to pause to take everything in. "How'd you find this place?"

Taehyung was just going through the forest during one of his meets with Zorock and the flowers instantly reminded him of his lover's beautiful eyes but he can't say that to Jeongguk.

"Stunning, no?" Taehyung chose to say and Jeongguk nodded, finally looking at Taehyung.

"It is but Tae, I know what you're trying to do. If you think this gesture is going to change my mind–"

"No, I didn't think so," Taehyung said. He stepped up closer and took the younger's hands in his. "Can we just, for just tonight, pretend everything is fine. That this is our little bubble, our own world away from the real world. Just put everything aside for one moment and enjoy this quiet night?"

Jeongguk chewed on his bottom lip as he hesitantly nodded. "I can try."

Taehyung smiled and placed a delicate kiss on his forehead. "Then let's have some fun." He let go of his hand and Jeongguk watched with curious eyes and Taehyung made way for the pond.

"Your clothes are going to get wet," Jeongguk warned as Taehyung began to enter the water.

"They disappear when they touch water. So do yours," Taehyung explained as he was now knee deep.

"A dissolving spell... impressive," Jeongguk said. He should've known from how his clothes shined. It was even a water spell. Jeongguk crossed his arms and watched with an amused smile as Taehyung kept going in but hissing as the level got higher not expecting the coldness.

The pond wasn't that deep so the water stopped right below his chest. He bent his knees and submerged himself completely into the water. When he came back to the surface, he swung his head back to get the hair out of his face and raked a hand through it. He was pleased to Jeongguk staring at him with lips caught between his teeth. The younger seemed to have a thing for his collarbones, the wet hair was just a bonus.

"Join me," Taehyung said and Jeongguk shook his head.

"I'm good."

"You can either get in here or get soaked from there."

"Tae."

"Gguk."

Jeongguk rolled his eyes and let his arms fall to his sides. He took slow steps into the water. His breath hitched when he felt how cold it is and was surprised at how Taehyung didn't have a more dramatic reaction. The spell worked, though. Once he in in, he went down until it reached his neck so that there weren't just loose fabric hanging around him.

"You're so far," Taehyung said with a pout.

"We're both naked. We need the distance," Jeongguk said.

"Well we've got our underpants on but, if you want, they can come off–"

"No."

Taehyung made a sour face at him that Jeongguk couldn't help but smile at. The elf floated his arms at the surface. He always felt at peace when he was in water. All water elves were.

"Did it hurt?" Taehyung asked suddenly, giving this method another go after failing so miserable the first time.

"What?" Jeongguk asked cluelessly.

"Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?"

Jeongguk was completely caught off-guard at that. He coughed to hide the smile at the corny line but understood what he was doing. "I don't believe in heaven or hell," he said. "No one around here really does."

Taehyung chuckled but he surely noticed that smile. "Oh well, you can fall from heaven, or the sky, from a tree, even from a portal connecting to a parallel universe," Taehyung said and Jeongguk snorted at that. He finished, "but the best way to fall is in love with me."

"Hmm, real smooth," Jeongguk commented not trying to hold back his grin anymore.

"Thanks."

"What? Is that all you got?"

Taehyung shook his head with a smirk dancing on his lips. "They say Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth. Well apparently, no one has ever been standing next to you."

"This is Elvador you doofus."

"Ah, right. Okay, okay. If I had a star for every time you light up my day, I would be holding the galaxy."

"Impossible."

"You're right. The stars are all already in your eyes."

"Already heard that one."

"Doesn't change the fact that it's true. But hey, are you the Eiffel tower? 'Cause Eiffel for you."

"No clue what that is."

"Oh c'mon. Yoongi probably does."

"Then go try this with Yoongi," Jeongguk said and shrugged.

Taehyung shot him a playful glare and chose to ignore his words as he moved onto the next one. "I wish I was cross-eyed, so I could see you twice."

"Ahh, you got my heart beating."

"As it should, my dear."

"Hmm. Next."

"If you were a potato, you'd be a sweet potato."

"You suck at this."

"Hey! I'm trying my best year. It's not really easy when you're just there looking as gorgeous as ever while you keep shooting me down," Taehyung whined and began swimming over to the rocks.

"Then say something that'll make me speechless!" Jeongguk yelled out.

"Fine!" Taehyung chuckled and plucked out a flower that was in his reach. He swam back over to Jeongguk but still keeping a distance. "If I had a rose for every time I've thought of you. I'd only have one," he began and stretched out his arm with the flower. "You've never left my mind."

Jeongguk shook his head and smiled wide, a teeth showing one. He took the rose out of his hand and twirled it between his fingers, examining it closely before looking at Taehyung. "Thank you but this isn't a rose. It's a blue crystipine."

"Are they?" Taehyung rolled his eyes and moved just a little closer. "Hey, your hand looks lonely, want to hold mine to keep it company?" he said and offered his hand. He wasn't really expecting Jeongguk to nod and take it though, but Taehyung took this as the perfect oppertunity to pull him closer. Jeongguk gasped, dropping the flower as he grabbed on Taehyung's shoulder.

"Your lips look lonely too..." Taehyung whispered, leaning in until their noses touched. "Would they like to meet mine?"

Jeongguk didn't bother to say anything to that one as he closed the distance between them. Taehyung smiled into the kiss as he grabbed the side of his face. Jeongguk let go of Taehyung hands so that he could throws his arms around Taehyung's neck. Taehyung's hands slid down to grab onto his thigh. He lifted them up slightly and Jeongguk quickly wrapped his legs around his waist.

The kissed each other feverishly, not caring if they were sloppy or if the missed each other's lips. The two didn't feel the coldness of the water anymore as their bodies clung onto each other. It was just them in their little world.

"I miss you. And I love you. I love you so much," Taehyung murmured when they pulled away, trailing kisses up his jaw.

"I love you too," Jeongguk replied. Taehyung unattached his lips and pulled back to look at Jeongguk. His eyes glowed a beautiful blue before they dimmed down. There wasn't a doubt in Taehyung mind that that meant anything other than love.

"Do you have a map because I'm getting lost in those eyes of yours."

Jeongguk couldn't help but laugh and kiss his lips for a short moment again. "You've still got more up your sleeve?"

"Oh, just one more," Taehyugn stretched.

"Go on. Just do it."

"Do you like meat?" Taehyung started and Jeongguk bit his lips already knowing this wasn't going to end up well. "'Cause I'd like to give you mine–"

"Tae!" Jeongguk set and slapped his back.

"Ow!"

"This is the most unhygienic place to do anything of the sorts," Jeongguk warned and Taehyung'a brow raised.

"Ah, so what you're saying if we were in a more cleaner place..."

Jeongguk didn't reply. Instead, he chose to smile slyly, kiss him, and give his bottom lip and good bite before pulling away.

"God you drive me nuts. Well in that case. Get out, there're robes and towels in the bag."

"If we fly back now we will get caught and it is really not the most appropriate time for the king to be–"

"Hey, hey, hey. Who said anything about flying home?"

Jeongguk lifted a brow but didn't question it. He leaned down and kissed him one more time before unwrapping his arms and legs around the elf.

"Wait," Taehyung said and grabbed his wrist. Jeongguk was ready to roll his eyes and give him another kiss but Taehyung dunked him down into the water.

"You bitch!" Jeongguk yelled as he plunged back to the surface and wiped the water off his face while Taehyung laughed his head off.

"What? No fair your hair gets to be all nice."

Jeongguk scoffed and looked around the water until he found the flower Taehyung gave him floating near. He picked it up and headed for shore where Mage rested while Taehyung watched. He saw the elf get out of the water. Little droplets dripped down his bare, toned back. Then when he raised an arm to push back his air, unintentionally flexing his muscles. Taehyung was breathless.

"Aren't you coming?" Jeongguk asked, his back still facing him.

"I'm gonna, uh, enjoy the view for a bit longer," Taehyung said, his eyes now moving onto the thin cloth that clung onto his thighs. That is until Jeongguk found the white bathrobe and covered the show. Taehyung sighed and concluded that was enough for the day and got out of the water too.

Once he was in his robe too, they grabbed the towels Taehyung packed to dry their hair. As usual, Jeongguk had to take the task into his own hands and help the older do it properly. Then when they were done, Taehyung grabbed the hand that wasn't holding his flower and lead him around the pond. Taehyung stuck out his hand in the middle of the willow tree's leaves and pushed it to the side. He motioned his head towards the entrance.

"Uh, it's completely dark in there," Jeongguk replied, giving Taehyung a questioning look.

"Just trust me," Taehyung said. Jeongguk nodded and stepped, Taehyung following right behind. The older waved a hand in the air and the entire place illuminated.

"Wow," Jeongguk was speechless yet again. In front of him was a small table with their dinner already set up with a candle and some roses in the middle. He could see the steam coming off of it as if it was freshly cooked. To his right was a beautiful canopy bed right against the trunk of the tree. It's leaves provided a nice cover.

"How– What?" Jeongguk tried to find the words when he turned back to look at Taehyung.

"Magic," Taehyung whispered stealing a kiss.

Jeongguk took another glance at the bed. "Was this your plan all along?"

"Woah, there. I just wanted to cuddle."

"Right," Jeongguk stretched, crossing his arms. Taehyung smiled and turned the younger around, giving him a light push.

"Now sit down before the food gets cold."

"I hope you didn't make it," Jeongguk said and headed towards his chair.

"Hmm, lucky you, I did not," Taehyung replied taking his seat.

"Is that huckleberry pie," Jeongguk asked looking at the pastry and getting a good sniff.

"Mhm. It's for dessert but honestly, the real dessert's sitting right in front of you," Taehyung said throwing a wink.

"I'll take the pie thank you very much," Jeongguk said picking up his utensils to get cutting into his meat.

"You're going to regret that later."

"Oh am I? And my goodness, this is so delicious," Jeongguk said tasting the first bite.

"I know right! And guess what? Our usual cook made it. Turns out he's been saving this super rare seasoning and been using it scarcely and only for special occasions. I'm pretty sure he thought I was proposing," Taehyung explained.

"Are you?"

"Hmm?"

"Are you proposing?"

Taehyung stopped cutting and focused his sight solely on Jeongguk. "Would you say yes?"

"Well, in this little world we've created for the night, yes. Yes I would," Jeongguk answered.

"And in the real world?"

Jeongguk sighed. "Unfortunately, thehe real world's much more complicated at the moment."

"Then how about we just stay here forever."

Jeongguk didn't say anything to that. They filled the rest of chat with whatever was on their mind other than official matters. Like how Jeongguk has always wanted to grow out his nails and see if he could create a weapon out of them but they always end up breaking. Or how Taehyung never thought he could miss college but he did. Then he had to explain to Jeongguk who Baekhyun was since he slipped his name somewhere in there too. They talking just about anything. Once dessert was finished, the two were more than satisfied with the meal.

"Will you please join me for a warm cuddle session, good sir?" Taehyung asked getting up from his seat and reaching out his hand.

"Hmm, why not, kind gentle-elf," Jeongguk replied in a just as posh-y accent and taking his hand. Taehyung pulled up from his seat and in a swift motion and picked him up bridal style. Jeongguk yelped, hitting Taehyung's chest for not giving him a warning.

"See, I've been working out," Taehyung said as he threw Jeongguk onto the bed before climbing in with him.

"Mhm, I can tell," Jeongguk replied just as Taehyung engulfed him in the tightest of holds. Jeongguk did his best to free his arms and return the hug.

"Why does this world's ponds smell nice?" Taehyung mumbled as Jeongguk's head was tucked in his neck, giving his nose the opportunity to get a whiff of his hair.

"I don't know."

Taehyung hummed back and shut his eyes, getting comfortable. They stayed like in that silence for a while, just basking in each other's presence dreading the morning to come where everything would disappear.

"Do you think I should get my memories back?" Taehyung broke the quiet first.

"Why all of a sudden? Did Namjoon find a potion?" Jeongguk inquired and Taehyung nodded.

"I don't know if I should take it. Do I really need it?" Taehyung asked, not wanting to mention how they didn't know about any possible risks.

"If you want to know about your past. You're doing just fine without it."

"That's what I thought too, but I also want to meet my parents. I mean, I want to remember them. And you. I hate being in the dark about my own life," Taehyung continued.

"Well, then take it. You've got nothing to lose right?"

Taehyung bit his lip, contemplating telling him the whole situation. He shouldn't keep any more secrets from him. "I don't know. Side effect's unknown," he confessed.

"Oh," Jeongguk sounded. Taehyung could tell he was also trying to think of all the pros and cons like he had from how long he was taking to say something. "Well, I believe you can make the right choice."

"Like I did with the war?"

"I thought we weren't to speak of that."

"Yeah... Sorry. I'm killing the mood, forget I said anything. I can think about this in the real world, not here," Taehyung said pulling back a little to get a look at Jeongguk.

"Listen, I know we're not seeing eye to eye on some things in the real world, but I'd still like you talk to me about these things. I'll listen and help in whatever way I can," the younger elf said, offering a smile.

"Thank you," Taehyung whispered, bumping his forehead against the the other lightly.

"So... are we actually just going to cuddle?" Jeongguk asked, his smile now spreading a bit wider.

"Of course not," Taehyung said and released him from the hug to roll over and get on top. Jeongguk laughed and pulled the older down to get a kiss.

It was one of the most peaceful nights the two have had in a long while.
