Third Person's POV

We start in the orchard at the day, Sticks is seen trying to pick berries "No one at the pie festival will guess that beige berries are my secret ingredient! Unless, one of these trees a spy in disguise!" Sticks said staring at a tree "I'm on to you tree! You'll never get the recipe! NEVER!!!" Sticks said and gets out her boomerang and aims it at the tree and Tails arrives in the Tailsmobile "Hey Sticks! How's tricks? I see you're making beige berry pie" Tails said and Sticks looks suprised and talks to her berries "I don't know what he's talking about! I'm taking you to live on a farm!" Sticks said and looks at Tails "Now, if you will excuse me, I have a few trees left to pick" Sticks said and leaves "Looks like you could use some help. Be right back!" Tails said and leaves.

At Tails and Turbo's workshop, Tails is singing as he is constructing a berry picking machine "Grab-claws connected to the trap-jaw! Trap-jaws connect to the scoop-maw! Scoop-maws connected to the positively-charged resistor-cuffing ion-matrix!" Tails said and stops singing and tries to turn it on "Oops, needs voltage. Lot of trees means lot of "v's"!" Tails said and walks over to some matrixes "Nope. Nope. Nope" He said and looks out of the window and watches Sonic playing volleyball with Brody and Turbo laying on the beach "Yep!" Tails said and later Sonic and Brody are inside on an exercise machine attached to Tails' invention "You sure about this Tails? You know how Sticks is about machines" Brody said "But this thing runs on natural energy: yours! It's better than going green, it's going blue and yellow!" Tails said "Say when!" Sonic said and he and Brody add more speed to the machine but it results in an explosion that leaves Tails charred and dazed "When..." Tails said.

*Back at the orchard*

Sticks is picking berries until Tails' berry picking machine appears and the shaking causes Stick to fall off of her ladder. Sticks jumps over the robot as Tails is controlling it but the robot starts to mow down trees"Well, my work here is done..." Tails said and tries to get away but Sticks stops him "Your machine destroyed the orchard!" Sticks said "Could be worse! At least you still have the berries" Tails said and the robot crushes up the berries and Sticks looks at Tails angrily. Sonic, Brody, Turbo, Amy, Ralph and Knuckles arrive "What happened here?" Amy asks "Looks like Tails got himself into a "jam"! Hah! Get it?" Sonic asks and raises his hand and Brody chuckles and high fives Sonic "At least one tree is still standing" Amy said but the tree which is a tree spy runs off.

*Later at an unknown room*

Three hooded characters along with the guy disguised as a tree are seen viewing over Tails' actions on a computer "Such senseless destruction... Wonderful!" Willy said "Our organization could the mind that created this! Send him a crimson letter!" A Weasel bandit said.

At the orchard, Tails is seen planting seeds "I can't believe Sticks is making replant the entire orchard! Now I'm going to miss the pie festival...at least Turbo said he'll get me a pie slice" Tails said and then three hooded characters approach Tails "This is for you!" Willy said handing Tails a letter and Tails tries to open it but is unsuccessful "Uh, maybe it will be easier if we just told you" the weasel bandit said "Your ingenuity just earned you an invitation to the five monthly, potluck dinner and raffle of the super secret exclusive club known as..." Willy said and one of the members plays a tune "The Lightning Bolt Society" Willy, Dave and the weasel bandit said "Wow! The Lightning Bolt Society?! Really?! I never heard of it!" Tails said "That's because it's super secret. Duh! Come! We'll take you to our clubhouse!" The weasel bandit said "As much as I love to go off with you strangers, my friends left me with an orchard to plant" Tails said and Dave loads some seeds into a device that quickly plants the seeds everywhere "Cool gizmo! How much was it?" Tails asks "Let's just say, it was a "steal."" Willy said "Well, my work here is done! And since I miss the festival, I think I will take you up on that potluck!" Tails said "We'll divide the membership at once" the weasel bandit said.

*Meanwhile at Eggman's Lair*

Eggman is seen playing a game trying to shoot water at a squirrel "I've got him now!" Eggman said and zooms in on the squirrel "You've stolen your last Sunday paper, you hairy little mutant!" Eggman said and notices something pop up on his screen "Ah! Pop-up! Wait, what's this?" He asks "It appears to be a status update from the Lightning Bolt Society" Orbot said "Pfft! More like "Lightning Dolt Society"! That clever play on words sound indicates that I think they're a bunch of pests" Eggman said and remembers where the Lightning Bolt Society was looking through his garbage.

"Why would those wannabes initiate Tails into their group? If they're working with Sonic and Brody, I'll never get them out of my trash" Eggman said "To the Eggmobile!" He said to Orbot and Cubot.

*Later at the orchard*

Sonic, Brody, Turbo, Knuckles, Ralph Amy and Sticks are walking together, the last of whom is holding a pie "Tails! We're back. Sticks won; and we've got some pie for you" Turbo said and they all look around the field hoping Tails will come, but to no avail "He's gone" Sonic said "And all the seeds are planted. There's no way he could have done it so fast, unless he used..." Sticks said "One of his inventions" Amy said "I was gonna say alien magic, but that was a good guess" Sticks said and  Team Sonic look at the field as they hear a sound. They step back as the seeds grow into mutated piranha plants. The plants roar at them "What's going on here?!" Amy asks and Sticks - who is treading on a purple envelope - steps back and picks the envelope up and she sniffs it "What's this? Some kind of pulped wood?" Sticks asks and Turbo snatxhes the envelope "It's an envelope, Sticks" Turbo said and opens the envelope and reads the letter inside "Tails is invited to join the Lightning Bolt Society?" Turbo asks "Wait, aren't those the crooks who are always stealing from the village fruit stand?" Brody asks "What do they even want Tails for?" Knuckles asks and the piranha plants roar at Team Sonic again, forcing them to step back further "You four stay here and keep these traps shut. Brody, Turbo and I are going after Tails" Sonic said and the three leave.

*Meanwhile at the Lightning Bolt's Clubhouse*

Tails is helping himself to some food "Tails" the weasel bandit said and Tails looks at him "welcome! Such an honor. I assume you've met everyone" he said "Actually, no. Though that tree looks really familiar" Tails said "Zipper's stuck" Chameleon said and groans "Nice to meet you" He said and shakes hands with Tails "Have you tried the shrimp?" He asks and Tails runs over to the shrimp bowl and purs the whole bowl onto his plate "What did you bring to the pot-luck?" Willy asks "Oh" Tails said and hesitates for a moment "uh, all I had was beige berry jelly" Tails said and shows the jar to Dave the Intern. He opens the jar and tries out the jelly with his finger. He spits it out "It's full of dirt and twigs" Dave said "Ha! I told you he was evil. Do I know how to pick 'em or what?" Chameleon asks.

Outside the Lightning Bolt's Clubhouse, Sonic, Brody and Turbo look through the window inside the clubhouse "What should we do?" Turbo asks "Let's crash in throug the window!" Sonic said "Is that really gonna work?" Brody asks.

Back inside, Willy Walrus is on stage "The Lightning Bolt Society is proud to welcome our newest member. He's a deforestation sensation and a berry bad boy. I give you..." Willy said and shows his hand out to Tails "Tails!" He said and two members holding Tails let go of him and drop him on the stage. Tails looks nervously at the other members "He brought the jam with the dirt in it" Willy said and the Lightning Bolt Society applaud at Tails. He takes off his goggles and Willy puts a fez with the Lightning Bolt Society's logo on it on his head " Oh, uh... Thanks. It's an honor to be among so many..." Tails said nervous and looks at the member "uh, guys with hats like this one" He said "With an evil genius like Tails to lead us, we can go from" Willy said and Tails looks suspicious "two-bit crooks to four-bit crooks; or dare I say it, eight-bit crooks" Willy said "Yes! Combining the warped genius of Tails' deforestation machine, and Eggman's mutant seed gun, we can finally launch our master plan: To control all the fruit in the village! And beyond" Dave said "Yeah... Uh" Tails said scratching his head "having understood very little of that, did I hear the word "evil" in there?" He asks "Indeed! With you as our evil leader, we'll be unstoppable... When it comes to fruit" Willy said "Yeah... Um, well" Tails said and takes off his hat quietly "This is a little embarrassing but... I'm not evil" Tails said and the whole group gasp in horror "You betrayed us all!" Willy said angrily "That sounds pretty evil to me" the weasel bandit said "Now I'm just confused" Dave said and scratches his head. Suddenly, Sonic and Brody break through the glass window with a spin attack and arrives at the scene and Turbo jumps next to them "Guys?" Tails asks "Tails!" Brody, Turbo and Sonic said and they run towards Tails but stop and turn around when Eggman breaks through the ceiling "Dolts!" Eggman said "Eggman?"  Brody, Sonic and Turbo asks and Eggman slides down a pole and stands up straight with his hands on his hips "Sonic and Brody. I've seen through your plan to team up with the Lightning Bolts" Eggman said "What?! We thought you teamed up with them. We are here to rescue Tails" Sonic said and Turbo and Brody nodded "Me? Team up with these dolts?" Eggman asks "Hey, hey. Words hurt" Dave said "I'd never team up with these... dolts" Eggman said "I'm sorry, there's no words for you" He said miserably "So. Whose side are you on?" He asks firmly "We're doing our best to be bad" Willy said "Then get Sonic and Brody!" Eggman said angrily "We don't have any weapons" Willy said "Now what kind of villains are you?" Eggman asks angrily "Find some!" He said and the Lightning Bolt Society look around the room. The Weasel Bandit smiles as he spots a buffet of food on the table and the group collect the food and use them as weapons. The Weasel Bandit throws a shrimp like a frisbee at Sonic and Brody. However, they easily dodge it as shrimp bounces off the wall. Willy throws kebabs at Sonic, Brody and Turbo, whom they dodge. The Weasel Bandit throws a can. Then he discovers along with Dave that their trays are empty. They turn around to the rest of the group "Really? That's all you could come up with? I'm not gonna say it, but you know what I'm thinking... you dolts" Eggman said and Dave winces " Looks like it's just you and us" Brody said "Hey hey hey, are we gonna battle or what?" Eggman asks impatiently "Actually, Dr. Eggman, sir... I was wondering if you could autograph my trunk?" Chameleon asks nervous and the group roar into a burst of excitement "Me too!" One member said "Sign my fez!" Another member said "You seem busy, Mr Popularity. We'll catch you on the flip-flop" Sonic said sarcastically as the heroes leave.

*Later at Seaside Island in the evening*

The piranha plants continue their outburst on Knuckles, Ralph, Amy and Sticks. Knuckles and Ralph punch two plants. Sticks jumps on a plant but it does not break. She notices Sonic, Brody and Turbo running towards her "Took you guys long enough" Ralph said as Amy whacks some plants with her hammer. Sonic and Brody Spin Dash around some more plants, tying a knot between them, before taking them down one by one. He gasps as the Tails' deforestation machine, which is being remote controlled by Tails and Turbo, pass through Team Sonic and plow through all the plants on the field, destroying them. Tails smiles as he shows off his remote to the rest of the team "Nice going, Tails" Brody said "I guess that machine of yours was good for something after all" Sticks said "And your paranoid ramblings weren't completely detached from reality" Tails said sarcastically "Good talk! Now get planting" Sticks said and Tails shows a confused look "I'd stay and help, but a very nice tree invited me and my pie to a pot-luck dinner at some lodge" Sticks said and walks off.

Meanwhile at Meh Burger at night, Dave, who is still in his Lightning Bolt's uniform, puts a Meh Burger on the counter "Oops. Almost forgot the sesame seeds" Dave said and unleashes the Mutant Seed Gun and fires sesame seeds on the burger. Dave laughs maniacally and eats the burger as this chapter comes to an end.
