Third Person's POV

We start in Seaside Island as Tails and Turbo are outside, making some adjustments to their plane, as Sonic, Brody, Amy, Knuckles, Ralph and Sticks walk up to them "Tails, Turbo, we're heading to Meh Burger. Wanna come along?" Sonic asks "We're installing an awesome speaker system in my baby. Check it out!" Tails said and pushes a button on his control device, and the plane starts playing a rock tune and shaking. He turns it off after a few seconds "You two spend way too much time with that plane" Amy said "Is this your way to be on a date with Turbo?" Knuckles asks teasing "N-no. Anyways, if you guys will excuse us, it's time for her propeller-to-tail fuselage massage" Tails said "Okay, now that's just nuts. We're gettin' you two out of here" Brody said.

*Later at Hedgehog village*

Team Sonic is walking through the village, with Tails holding a toolbox "Thanks for talking us into coming along. It was good for us to get away from the workshop... so We could buy more stuff for our plane!" Tails said and walks with Turbo while the others stop and they all groan "Free samples!" Eggman said as he is standing at a stall with people walking towards it. He is also wearing a chef's hat, and an apron with a picture of him on it "Get your free samples here!" Eggman said and has a large pot with his symbol on it on one side of the stall, and cans stacked up on the other side. Using a wooden spoon, he pours something red into a bowl he's holding "Step right up and try the zestiest, lip-smacking-est flavor extravaganza ever to hit your taste buds: Eggman's Tomato Sauce! Made with real tomatoes" Eggman said "Uh-oh, this isn't good" Sonic said and speeds over and knocks the bowls of the sauce out of the villagers' hands, to their surprise and irritation "You'll thank me later. I know you're up to something, Egghead; I just don't know what it is yet" Sonic said and Brody, Amy, Sticks, Tails, Turbo, Ralph and Knuckles arrive as well "You're trying to poison these villagers!" Amy said and the villagers gasp "Poison? There's no poison here, just my patented blend of herbs and spices! Here, I'll try some myself" Eggman said and reaches for the spoon in the pot and takes out a spoonful of sauce. He slurps it, and nothing happens "See, harmless and delicious. You try" Eggman said and aims the spoon's scoop toward Sonic and Brody, who are pondering what to do "Eh, yeah I think We'll pass" Brody said "Well, looks like I've finally found Sonic the Hedgehog and Brody the Wolf's weakness. They're scared of tomato sauce!" Eggman said and the crowd bursts into laughter, except for Team Sonic. Sonic and Brody, not amused, snatch a can with its lid open, and slurp the tomato sauce from it "Oh no, our worst fears have come true" Sonic said "What's wrong?" Tails asks "It's delicious! It's like my taste buds are swimming in a sea of mouthwatering, tomatoey goodness!" Brody said and Sonic nodded and Knuckles drinks it from a bowl too "It's actually good" Knuckles said "The spices are all organic and lair-grown" Eggman said "I'd better buy a few cans and run some tests, just to be safe" Turbo said.

*Later at Tails and Turbo's workshop*

"It's been hours since We ate the sauce and We're feeling totally fine. Find anything on your end?" Sonic asks "I've tested for acidity, radioactivity, arsenic, old lace, and mind-control serum; it comes up clean every time" Tails said "I hate to say it, but, um... maybe Eggman really has changed?" Amy asks.

*Later at Hedgehog Village*

Sonic and Brody are running along, feeling just fine, but they notice something and screeches to a halt in surprise. There is a poster with a picture of Eggman grinning, and four tomatoes with smiling faces surrounding him. It's an advertisement for Eggman's tomato sauce "Hey! Hey mister, you're my hero!" They hear Stratford said as he comes up running towards Sonic and Brody "Can I get an autograph?" Stratford asks "Sure, kid, anything for--" Sonic said but Stratford runs past them and up to Eggman instead "Sure, kid, anything for a fan" Eggman said and Sonic growls in irritation "When I grow up, I wanna be just like you!" Stratford said and gives Eggman a pen, and Eggman signs a can of sauce "Woah-ho, don't set the bar too high; not everybody is cut out for the big time" Eggman said and gives Stratford the can "Just look at that Sonic the Hedgehog and Brody the Wolf guys; whatever happened to them? Are they still a thing?" Eggman asks "Hey Tails, get this--" Brody said angry when his and Sonic's Communicator sparks and stops working "Oh come on, seriously? Nothing's going right today" Sonic said.

*Meanwhile at Tails and Turbo's Workshop*

Sonic and Brody walk in, and they stop behind Knuckles and Ralph, who are wearing pairs of headphones "What's going on? We need Tails and Turbo to fix our Communicator" Sonic said "Sorry nut they gotta fix our headphones" Ralph said "And my Ancient Artifact Analyzer" Amy said "And my magic light tube" Sticks said and holds up her "magic light tube", and it's shown to be just a flashlight and Tails and Turbo walk up holding drills "Sorry, guys; We're having problems of our own. Our plane's been acting funny lately. We've been working on her all night" Turbo said as the two puts down the drills and Tails opens a toolbox "Maybe you two just need a break" Amy said and picks up a can "Let's eat lunch, and then you two can get back to the repairs" Amy said and Brody takes the can "Ugh, can we go to Meh Burger instead? I'm sick of that stuff" Brody said and places the can down on the worktable "Meh" everyone said. Unaware to them, part of the can opens up and four legs and two pincers come out, and then it crawls over to a tool on the table, and it begins doing something, with sparks flying and crawls around, suspiciously.

*Later at Meh Burger*

Team Sonic is eating at Meh Burger "Mmm! How do they do it?" Sonic asks "The secret ingredient is Meh-onnaise" Dave said when suddenly the TV turns on "What the....?" Dave asks. "Welcome back to a very special edition of the Comedy Chimp Show, live from Dr. Eggman's evil lair" Comedy Chimp said "Thanks for having me, CC" Eggman said "Oh, you've gotta be kidding!" Sonic said "So Dr. Eggman, you were a successful... super-villain. Why the switch to celebrity chef?" Comedy Chimp asks "Well, Comedy Chimp, honestly I needed a change. Besting Sonic and Brody week in and week out had become tedious. It was time for a real challenge" Eggman said "Okay, that's enough" Brody said and tries to turn off the TV "And what's the deal with Sonic's haircut? I feel like I'm getting attacked by a blue pineapple!" Eggman said.

At Eggman's Lair, "Now I'm told you have a special announcement for our viewers at home" Comedy Chimp said "That's right, CC. You see, In just a few short weeks, I've gotten cans of Eggman's tomato sauce into every home and business in town. But Sonic and his friends assumed I poisoned the tomato sauce. Can you believe that?" Eggman asks "That's just... bananas!" Comedy Chimp said "I know right? My sauce was never tainted. It was the cans they should've been looking out for" Eggman said "Yeah... Wait, what?" Comedy Chimp asks "Well you people had your backs turned, my cans have taken control of all your electrical devices!" Eggman said and laughs as many villagers are being attacked by their appliances.

Back at Meh Bruger, "Watch it! I bruise like a delicate peach" Dave said covering his face and Sticks lands  on Meh Burger's counter. Meanwhile in Eggman's Lair, Comedy Chimp tries to run away, only to be stopped by a wall of cans.

In the village center, Team Sonic stands ready to fight the appliances "They all laughed when I said our appliances would turn against us! But who's laughing now?" Sticks asks "You?" Sonic asks "Why would I be laughing? This isn't funny. You got a sick sense of humor!" Sticks said "Let's just do this already!" Knuckles said and Team Sonic destroys cans and appliances "Take this, you robo-trash!" Sticks said "No! It can't be!" Tails said as his and Turbo's plane flies at them "Run!" Turbo said "Tails, Turbo, we gotta destroy that plane!" Brody said "No, we can't! Let me talk to her! I know I can reach her!" Tails said and jumps onto a rock and waves his arms "Plane! It's me, Tails! Remember all the good times we've had together?" Tails asks "What?" Sonic asks "You guys go on and stop Eggman without us! We're gonna stay back and save our plane!" Turbo said "Good luck" Sonic and Brody said.

*At Eggman's Lair*

Comedy Chimp is tied up in his chair "So the doctor tells me it wasn't an infection at all! I just sat on a raisin!" Eggman said and Comed Chimp laughs forcefully "Good one!" Comedy chimp said and whispers to a passing sauce can "If you get me out of here, I'll set you up with a nice box of rigatoni" Comedy Chimp said when Sonic, Brody, Amy, Knuckles, Ralph and Sticks arrive "Th-this is a closed set, you know!" Eggman said "Really, sorry for the lack of professionalism around here" He said to Comedy Chimp "Show's over, Egg-face!" Sonic and Brody said "So, you think the show's over, huh? Well I beg to differ!" Eggman said and pulls out his remote control device and presses a button. Several cans advance from both sides, and construct a makeshift robot out of various appliances and Badnik parts "Oh, now I get it" Sonic said.

*Meanwhile at Seaside Island*

Tails and Turbo are running toward their plane "We're right here, come and get us!" Turbo and Tails said and the plane swoops down towards Tails and Turbo, apparently hitting them. When it returns to the sky it is revealed that Turbo and Tails grabbed onto it's right wing and are currently hanging on tightly. The plane tries to shake them off with some barrel rolls, but Tails and Turbo manage to land on top of the plane, right next to the cockpit.

*Back at Eggman's Lair*

The Scrapheap Bot hurls on of the lights for Comedy Chimp's show at Sonic, Brody, Ralph and Knuckles, who barely manage to dodge it. The robot then picks up a couch from the show, and launches two cans at them. Knuckles grabs one, jumps over the couch which the robot threw, opens the can, and throw it at the robot while Amy is charging towards the Scrapheap Bot, holding her hammer and swings it at the robot's foot, damaging it. Sonic then attacks the robot's right arm, knocking it off "Not bad for a blue pineapple" Sonic said.

*Back at Seaside Island*

Tails and Turbo are seen in the cockpit of their plane, Tails is trying to connect two wires. The plane starts heading towards a cliff face "What are you doing?! Pull up! PULL UP!" Turbo said and Tails finally manages to connect the two wires "Got it!" Tails said and Turbo steers the plane upwards, and manages to clear the cliff "Woo-hoo, we did it! Great to have you back, old friend! Now let's go cancel Eggman's show!" Turbo said and Tails nodded.

*Back at Eggman's Lair*

The Scrapheap Bot gets hurled into some crates of Eggman's tomato sauce. It gets up and advances towards Knuckles, Ralph and Sticks, who are fighting some of the can-robots "Knuckles, give me a boost!" Sticks said and Knuckles picks up Sticks, and tosses her at the Scrapheap Bot. She grabs onto the robot's head, and tears it off, knocking her and the robot over. Brody holds out his hand to Sticks she grabs it and pulls herself back up. The robot however, just automatically re-assembles itself "Oh for the love of..." Brody said as Eggman flies up in his eggmobile "Face it you yellow-fur block head, I've got this one in the bag! Victory for Eggman!" Eggman said and holds up his remote control triumphantly. Tails and Turbo arrive in their plane, and fly towards Eggman "Did somebody call for backup?" Turbo asks and Tails presses a button on his utility belt, and activates the Enerbeam and then uses it to grab Eggman's remote "Hey, give that back!" Eggman said angry and Tails presses a button on the remote, and the Scrapheap Bot falls apart and shuts down. All the appliances that attacked the villagers are also shown shutting down "You may have won this round, but no matter. I've got a warehouse full of thousands more of these evil robotic cans of sauce!" Eggman said and one of Comedy Chimp's camera's is pointed at Eggman, and records the whole speech and Eggman grunts.

Later in Eggman's Lair, Eggman is sitting on a couch in his lair, surrounded by his tomato sauce cans "Hm. Probably shouldn't have said that all on TV" Eggman said as this chapter comes to an end.
