(Sonia's POV)

I ran fast in the direction I remember Eggman heading towards last. I saw a bright flash of light ahead, making me run faster towards it. I found myself on a round platform and I saw a giant water monster in front of me.

Sonia: No way! Is that actually Chaos?! How is this the same beast?

I looked inside of it and saw that it has 6 total Chaos Emeralds inside of it. I need to deal with this guy once and for all before Eggman gives him the last emerald.

Eggman: Hahahaha!

I looked over and saw Eggman flying nearby in his pod.

Eggman: Oh, yes! Attack Sonia, now!

I heard a pair of footsteps near me, making me look over. I saw a big man with large purple cat ears and a tail. He looks like some kind of fisherman.

Big: Froggy! I must save Froggy!

I looked over and saw a small green frog inside of Chaos. The little guy is trapped inside of that monster. I looked over at the big man.

Sonia: If he's your friend, I'll help you free him.

He looked over at me and nodded his head.

Sonia: Just leave it to me!

He started to run away, probably trying to find a spot where he can get his frog friend back without getting hurt.

Eggman: Hahahaha! Now I have 6 of the Chaos Emeralds! There's only one more left to find! I even found Chaos's missing tail!

Missing tail? You mean I've been fighting an incomplete version of Chaos all this time?

Sonia: You won't get away with this, you madman!

Eggman: I will! You're no match for Chaos! Even though he's not perfected yet. Okay Chaos! Destroy her! Immediately!

I jumped up into a ball and tried to dash into Chaos, but I couldn't find any weak spot like his previous forms had. Chaos swiped its tail at me, sending me back. I landed on my feet.

Sonia: I'm in a bit more trouble than I thought.

Eggman: Yes! This going to be perfect! There is no way for you to hurt Chaos while he is in this state!

Knuckles: Hey, Sonia!

I looked over and saw Knuckles running towards me. I smirked to myself.

Sonia: There you are, Knuckles. About time!

Knuckles saw Chaos in his huge state and was a bit surprised to see it.

Knuckles: Just how much is that thing going to change?!

Sonia: Be careful Knuckles! There isn't a weak point on him and there is a frog trapped inside.

Knuckles: No weak point? Nothing my fists can't find!

Knuckles dashed forward and reeled his fist back, punching Chaos. His fist went into Chaos, but it didn't affect Chaos much, making him open his mouth and swallow Knuckles whole before spitting him back out. I ran over to Knuckles and caught him, quickly putting him back on his own two feet.

Knuckles: Okay, so what's the plan?

Sonia: That's the thing... I kinda don't have one.

I rubbed the back of my head. I saw Chaos start to send parts of himself forward, making me and Knuckles run around the platform to dodge the attack.

Eggman: Even with two of you working together, you're no match for Chaos!

I looked at Eggman and saw the huge smile he has on his face. He definitely thinks he's won. I saw a metal bolt flying at him and hitting him in the back of the head.

Eggman: Doh! Who did that?!

Me and Eggman looked over and saw (Y/N) standing there, him throwing another bolt at Eggman, but he got out of the way of it. (Y/N) is holding a bunch of random screws and bolts that he definitely unscrewed from the Egg Carrier.

Eggman: What is the wolf boy doing here?!

Sonia: Yeah, I thought I told you to get outta here with Tails and Amy!

(Y/N): I know, but it didn't feel right to just leave you behind by yourself.

Eggman: Oh, how touching. Sadly that won't save you from Chaos! Chaos! Attack him too!

Chaos jumped in the air, moving to face towards (Y/N) and landed back down on the floor. Before Chaos could attack, a fishing lure went into his body and hooked the frog inside. The fishing lure and the frog got pulled out of Chaos's body. I looked over and saw the big cat guy now has his friend back.

Big: Froggy! I finally caught you!

He started to run away from the scene. I looked back and saw Chaos opened his mouth again and began to suck in the air, pulling (Y/N) towards him.

(Y/N): Uh oh!

(Y/N) started to throw some more screws and bolts at Chaos, but it didn't do much. As he was throwing them frantically, one hit Eggman again, making him a button in his pod and a small robot came out. The robot got sucked into Chaos's body, exploding once inside. Whatever was in the robot must've been something really cold, since Chaos's entire body froze over.

Eggman: What?! Curse you, wolf boy!

Sonia: Wait. Knuckles! Now's our chance!

Knuckles: You got it!

I started to spin in place, gathering some energy to preform a Light Speed Attack. I saw Knuckles punch his fists together as purple-ish red balls of energy started to circle around him. Once we both got enough energy, I was surrounded in a light blue light and Knuckles was surrounded by a red light. We both dashed forward at the frozen Chaos, attacking him everywhere as fast and as hard as possible. Me and Knuckles both attacked Chaos at his face at the same time, causing his entire body to shatter and the 6 Chaos Emeralds fell down to the floor.

Sonia: Phew!

Me and Knuckles landed on the floor as the light around our bodies disappeared.

Eggman: No way! I can't believe this!

(Y/N): Ha! Looks like you're out of tricks now!

Eggman: Actually, I have one more left!

Eggman turned around and started to fly away in his pod.

Eggman: Until we meet again, furballs!

Sonia: Stop! Come back here!

I started to run after Eggman, seeing him fly past the edge of the Egg Carrier and flying downward. I quickly jumped down to chase after him. I felt someone crash into me, making me look back and see (Y/N).

Sonia: (Y/N)?! Are you crazy?!

(Y/N): I can ask you the same thing!

Sonia: Just leave Eggman to me!

(Y/N): And let you get into a fight with an unhurt-able monster again?!

I quickly grabbed onto him, wrapping one arm around his waist.

Sonia: Just hold on tight! It's going to be a rough fall!

We both fell through the dark clouds. I looked around trying to find Eggman, but with how thick the clouds are, I lost him. Me and (Y/N) eventually fell out of the clouds and I could see a jungle below. Me and (Y/N) fell through some thick tree leaves and vines, slowing our descent down before the both of us crashed into the ground. I quickly bounced myself back up on my own two feet.

(Y/N): How... How are we alive...?

Sonia: Aarrgh! I hate Eggman!

(Y/N): S-Same...

I looked around the jungle we are in, not knowing where I am right now.

Sonia: Where's this?

(Y/N) got up and dusted himself off of any dirt on him as he looked around. I saw him notice something that made him put his hands on his head and start to scream in frustration.

(Y/N): Aaaaaahhhhh!! Not again!!

Sonia: What is it?

He pointed at some old looking stone structure that's covered in moss and vines.

(Y/N): Even after flying in the sky, I'm back here again!!

Sounds like (Y/N) has some story with this place. I heard something, like rumbling in the distance. I looked over at the direction of where the sounds were coming from and I noticed some kind of stone structure that is shaped similar to a pyramid. I noticed a stone snake shaped head went upward, revealing an entrance way.

Sonia: Hey (Y/N). Since you know this place, what's up with that?

(Y/N) looked over at me. I pointed at the structure, making him look at it.

(Y/N): I don't know what that is... But it seems so familiar to me for some reason...

Sonia: Hmm?

I noticed the red ball of light I've seen before appear and started to go towards the structure.

Sonia: That light. I think it's trying to show us something.

The red ball of light went into the entrance. I looked over at (Y/N) and smiled at him.

(Y/N): You want to go in, don't cha?

Sonia: You already know me so well!

I started to run ahead and quickly went into the entrance of the stone structure myself. I looked back and saw (Y/N) running a couple feet behind me.

Sonia: Looks like curiosity bit down on you too!

(Y/N): We have no idea what's in this place! I'm just making sure nothing bad happens!

Sonia: Whatever you say!

I looked ahead and saw me and (Y/N) are now running down a small corridor that's in a cylindrical shape. Some pillars covered in fire started to come out of the floor, making me and (Y/N) have to run around and dodge the pillars.

(Y/N): Why is this place boobytrapped?!

Sonia: And I thought this was going to be boring!

Me and (Y/N) continued to run forward, getting out of the corridor and into a more open room. I found a doorway and quickly ran to it. I ran down a small hallway that lead to a ramp. I jumped off the ramp, going over a pit of spikes and landing safely on the other side. I saw (Y/N) running and jumped off the ramp. He was coming up a bit short, making me quickly reach out and grab his hand and pulled him up to me.

Sonia: That was close.

(Y/N): Thanks for the save. How do you always make jumps like that?

Sonia: Simple. I go pretty fast.

(Y/N) just sighed and went on ahead of me. I giggled to myself and quickly caught up to him. We entered a large room with a huge pool of water underneath. I looked around and found a huge button. I quickly jumped on it and noticed that the water level started to rise. I jumped up to higher and higher platforms, trying to avoid making contact of the rising water. I made it to the highest platform. The water stopped right before reaching the platform I'm on.

Sonia: Phew... That was close... Wait.

I quickly looked around for (Y/N), realizing that I left him behind. Oh no. I looked down at the water and saw a figure coming up. Water splashed up, some hitting my face as I saw the figure was (Y/N). He looked up at me.

(Y/N): Water.

Sonia: Thank goodness you're alright!

(Y/N): Well... I can swim, so it's nothing serious for me. Can... Can you not swim?

I felt my cheeks heat up as I stayed silent and looked away. I saw a door open behind me and I quickly went through it, running into a very dark room. The only light was coming from a tiny hole in the ceiling. I heard wet footsteps behind me, making me look over and saw (Y/N) standing next to me as he's dripping wet.

(Y/N): Hey, sorry for this.

He started to shake his body, shaking off all the water off his body. He stopped shaking and grabbed his tail, squeezing any water out of its fur.

(Y/N): So how are we getting through this?

Sonia: ...I'm not too sure...

(Y/N) looked around and found something on the ground. He picked it up and walked over to the small beam of light. He held up the thing he picked up. It is a shiny mineral and he started to shine the reflected light across the room. He found a mirror in the room and made the light shine on the mirror, making the light cover more of the room and revealing it. He put the mineral down and made sure that the light is still hitting the mirror.

(Y/N): There we go, now we should be able to go forward easily. Sadly I'll have to leave the shiny rock behind.

Sonia: Nice thinking! I would've just ran ahead and hoped for the best!

(Y/N): You can't be serious...

Me and (Y/N) went through the now lit up room and we exited it. We entered a long hallway as the path ahead of us is slanted downward slightly.

Sonia: Looks like we can get some serious speed here!

Me and (Y/N) started to run down the slanted pathway, gaining more and more speed thanks to it. I heard something heavy slam down behind us. Me and (Y/N) looked back and we saw a huge boulder rolling down at us and the boulder is covered in fire.

(Y/N): Why does it have to be on fire?!

I grabbed (Y/N)'s wrist and started to run even faster, trying to get away from the flaming boulder. Right before the boulder could squish us, the pathway ended with a set of springs. Me and (Y/N) got bounced up by the springs, heading up to a high up platform. I looked back and saw the boulder fall off the pathway. I saw (Y/N) wipe his forehead of any sweat and let out a sigh.

(Y/N): Geez... Does that red ball of light want us dead?

Sonia: We aren't dead, so I'm guessing not.

We went into the next room and we saw the red ball of light ahead of us. It began to go forward, making me and (Y/N) follow it. We went through a large room and we reached the end of the room. I looked up at the huge wall.

Sonia: Whoa! What's this?

(Y/N): It's a mural of something.

I looked at the huge mural. It shows a huge blue colored serpent like creature. It has its mouth open, revealing a long tongue and it's surrounded by ruins. Before I could look at it more, the red ball of light started to shine brightly and covered my vision with light.
