(Sonia's POV)

I slowly opened my eyes, seeing the ceiling of (Y/N)'s room. I let out a yawn and sat up, seeing that I'm in (Y/N)'s bed. I looked over and saw (Y/N) is still sleeping and he has his arms around my waist.

Sonia: Cutie.

I whispered as I gently moved his arms to free myself and to make sure he stays asleep. I got out of bed to get ready for whatever today may bring. It's been about a week since (Y/N) went into that dark form and he has been doing pretty good since. I walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge, looking for something to eat for breakfast. As I did, I heard footsteps walking into the kitchen. I looked back and saw (Y/N).

Sonia: Morning, sleepy head.

(Y/N): Morning.

He rubbed his eyes as he walked over to one of the cabinets.

Sonia: Having a slow start today?

(Y/N): ...Yeah.

He opened the cabinets and took out a container of coffee. He opened it and saw that it was actually empty.

(Y/N): Where did my coffee go?

Sonia: Didn't you say that Shadow ate all of it?

He nodded his head.

(Y/N): How did I still not replace this? It's been about a week...

He let out a small groan and threw the empty container in a nearby trash can. He got a cup and filled it with some water. (Y/N) took a sip.

(Y/N): So... I'm tired.

I walked over to him and put an arm around him. (Y/N) started to lean into me and closed his eyes.

Sonia: Let's go for a morning jog. Helps me wake up when I need it.

Before me and (Y/N) could leave, there was a knocking on the door. We walked over and opened the door, seeing that Tails is standing there.

Tails: Good morning, you two!

I saw Tails holding (Y/N)'s special shoes.

Tails: I finally got around to upgrading your shoes (Y/N)! They are faster, lighter, and the rockets should be more efficient!

(Y/N) took the shoes from Tails's hands and put them on the floor, getting ready to put them on.

(Y/N): Thanks Tails. Perfect timing too. Me and Sonia were about to head out.

Tails: Oh? Is it because of that?

Sonia: Because of what?

Tails pointed up behind her. Me and (Y/N) looked out and saw some kind of huge structure in the sky with five planets around it in the distance. (Y/N) spat out some water.

(Y/N): What is that thing?!

Tails: I don't know, I was about to check it out.

Sonia: I guess it would be a good idea to see what's up with whatever it is.

(Y/N): I hope it's anything but bad. The last time I went to a large thing in the sky, it had a huge cannon that was going to destroy the planet.

(Y/N) quickly put his shoes on. Me, (Y/N), and Tails all started to head over to whatever the new thing high up into the sky is.

(Time Skip)

Me, (Y/N), and Tails all made it to a really tall tower that seems to connect with the huge structure in the sky.

Sonia: Wow. That's a long way up.

Tails: It appears to be all the way in space.

(Y/N): That high up?

As we looked around, (Y/N) pointed at something. Me and Tails looked over and saw a sign that reads "Eggman's Ultra Accelerating Space Elevator".

Sonia: I should've figured. Now I can tell this has Eggman written all over it.

(Y/N): Literally.

(Y/N) walked over to the elevator and opened the door.

(Y/N): Gals. I think this thing is operational.

Me and Tails walked in the elevator and saw that there is a pair of keys in a key slot. I smiled to myself and pulled (Y/N) into the elevator.

(Y/N): Wh-Whoa!

I turned the key, making the elevator close the door and start to head up the tower at a high speed.

Sonia: Let's see what's up there.

As we rode the elevator, a speaker system turned on and a prerecorded message started to play.

Eggman: Hello, happy people! Buckle up as Eggman's Ultra Accelerating Space Elevator whisks you to an interplanetary wonderland of fun!

(Y/N): Wait, so this is a theme park in space?! I can't believe Eggman has such an obsession with theme parks...

Sonia: I can't believe somebody was dumb enough to leave the keys in this thing!  It's like Eggman is begging us to sneak in and trash the place.

Tails: M-M-Man, this thing's got c-c-crazy fast acceleration!

I saw Tails struggling to keep her balance. I crossed my arms and smirked.

Sonia: You call this fast?

Soon another prerecorded message started to play.

Eggman: This amusement park has been constructed entirely out of a sense of remorse for my past transgressions and is in no way associated with any sort of evil plot or premeditated misdeeds.

Sonia: Well, that's a relief.

I saw (Y/N) looking out of a window.

(Y/N): We are way above earth now. We are definitely in space.

I saw him look upward and something caught his eye. He pressed his face against the window to get a better view and his tail started to wag back and forth.

(Y/N): That place has really shiny lights!

I couldn't help but smile seeing (Y/N) so excited. I guess this won't be such a bad time.

(Time Skip)

Me, Tails, and (Y/N) all left the elevator when it reached its destination. We are walking through a place called Tropical Resort. It seems this is the place that's in the middle of all of those planets. A loud speaker system started to play, making Eggman's voice be heard.

Eggman: Welcome to Eggman's Incredible Interstellar Amusement Park, where you can enjoy five planets for the price of one!

(Y/N): Thank goodness we got in for free.

Sonia: He loves to hear his own lips flap, but I gotta hand it to the Eggster, this place is epic. Everyone and their brother is gonna want to come here.

Tails: No doubt. Though this place does seem pretty harmless. The only thing this place could be guilty of would be overpriced merchandise.

Sonia: Oh come on. Eggman plus secretly built amusement park equals evil plot for us to foil. Lucky for us he's not very good at keeping things hidden.

(Y/N): Cmon Sonia, the elevator ride told us that this isn't a part of an evil plot.

I looked over at (Y/N). We shared a quick laugh. Like anyone would believe that dumb message Eggman made. As we walked, we quickly stopped to see an amazing view of planet earth.

Sonia, Tails, and (Y/N): Woooow.

Sonia: Plot or not, you can't be mad at this view. This place is takin beauty to the next level.

I felt (Y/N) start to hug me from behind. I looked back at him, making him smile at me.

(Y/N): If that's the next level of beauty, then your the final boss.

I put my hand on his cheek and gave him a quick kiss on the lips.

Sonia: No need for the cute compliments, but I won't stop ya.

Tails was still staring at the view of earth.

Sonia: Still, I can't believe how easy it was sneak in here. No security or anything.

Tails got snapped out of her thoughts and looked at me, scratching the side of her head.

Tails: Uh, I wouldn't say it was that easy... Ugh, just thinking about it makes my head feel like it wants to...

She couldn't finish her thought as a loud explosion could be heard in the distance. Me and (Y/N) immediately ran over in the direction of the sound. We looked out in the distance and saw two small robots, one of them a yellow square one and the other a red round one. They are chasing down two of some kind of alien creature.

Sonia: I'm not sure what's goin on, but I'm sure of what I'm gonna do.

(Y/N): Yeah! Let's save those weird little dudes!

We immediately dashed over to where the robots and little aliens are. The yellow robot is holding a big net and was about to catch the two aliens. I grabbed onto the cyan colored one and (Y/N) grabbed onto the white one and we jumped back away from the robots.

Cubot: Huh?!

I looked over at the two robots and pointed at them.

Sonia: Hey, what's going on?

The cyan alien got out of my hands and swirled around me before entering my body.

Sonia: Huh?

I felt a bunch of weird energy going through my body as a light of cyan colored energy came from my body. I was suddenly dashing forward in a straight line as a cyan colored laser, only changing a direction when I hit a wall.

(Readers POV)

I watched as Sonia dashed away really far away after that one alien dude went inside of her. I looked at the white alien dude that I saved that was floating near me.

(Y/N): What did your friend do to my girlfriend?!

I asked the alien, but I just got some noises in return from it. It started to swirl around me before going into my shoes.

(Y/N): What the?! Hey! Get out of there! My shoes aren't an apartment complex! At least pay some rent-

My shoes suddenly turned on, making me hover above the ground slightly. I saw that the metal pipes of my shoes came out from the back on their own. Instead of normal flames coming out of them, rainbow colored flames started to leave the pipes and I was sent forward at incredible speeds.

(Y/N): Aaaaaaahhhhhh!!

I managed to keep my balance as I got used to this sudden burst of speed. However soon after the rainbow colored flames stopped and I started to slow down. The little white alien popped out of my shoes and nodded its head at me.

(Y/N): Don't know what that was, but thanks?

I started to slow myself down when I saw Tails up ahead. I managed to stop by her.

Tails: Woah! Your shoes was making you go fast! I didn't realize I made them that strong.

Was those rainbow flames just part of Tails's upgrades? Weird. I guess the alien just wanted a ride.

(Y/N): So this is one of the aliens that I saved.

I pointed at the little white alien that was floating next to me. It went up to Tails and started to speak out gibberish again, though it's more likely just an alien language.

Tails: Um... Give me one moment.

Tails took out a toolbox and a handheld tablet device and started to tinker with the tablet.

Tails: Hmm, now let me see here. Uhh... Gotta connect the framistatic capacitor to the maximizing modulationizor...

The little alien started to speak again.

(Y/N): I think the alien is just as confused as me about the words you said.

Tails looked over at the alien.

Tails: I wish I knew what you were saying, little guy. Or gal. Or whatever you are.

I was going to ask Tails what she was making, but a cyan colored laser started to head right for us before stopping just nearby. Sonia appeared and landed on the ground before a cyan colored alien came out of her body and flew away.

Sonia: Oh, man! That... Was... CRAZY!!

I think my brain is about to explode from all the stuff happening in so little time.

(Y/N): Alright, one thing at a time. Tails, what are you doing?

Tails: Oh. I was just reconfiguring my handheld into a translator so I can understand this guy.

(Y/N): Nice. Sounds helpful. Sonia, what happened to you?

Sonia: Didn't you see? I absorbed those aliens and got powered up with like, some kind of wild energy! And after a few seconds, they'd pop outta me!

(Y/N): You got powered up? The only thing the alien I saved did was live in my shoes for a moment. It must've turned my shoes on since they activated by themselves and these rainbow flames came out of them.

Tails: Rainbow flames? I never implemented a feature like that.

Sonia: I knew it! These little alien guys can power things up!

So that's what the alien did? Powered up my shoes for a short time... Well that might be helpful later. The white alien started to speak again. Sonia scratched her head in confusion before looking at me and Tails.

Sonia: Okay, seriously, we need to find Eggman and figure out how catching these aliens fits into whatever heinous plan he's hatching.

Tails: And wreck that plan, right?

Sonia: Yeah, that's pretty much how we spend our time.

Tails continued to work on her translator thingy while me and Sonia started to dash forward, trying to figure out what's really going on around here.
