(Readers POV)

Me and Sonia just stood there embracing each other for who knows how long. I took a deep breath and let go of Sonia. Sonia looked at me, causing me to look away and rub the back of my head.

(Y/N): S-Sorry for causing a lot of trouble.

Sonia smiled at me and playfully punched me on the chest.

Sonia: It wasn't that bad. And besides, you gave Eggman much more trouble. So just look at the positive side.

(Y/N): I did?

Sonia nodded her head. We started to lightly laugh with each other. I looked around and noticed that I'm at the Mystic Ruins and I saw a lot of people watching in the distance. Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, Big, Silver, Shadow, Rouge, Omega, Team Chaotix were standing there. I noticed that even my family was standing there too. I took a deep breath.

Sonia: (Y/N)? Are you good?

(Y/N): Yeah, I think I need to have a talk with them.

I started to walk towards my family as Sonia joined up with our friends. When I walked up to my family, my mom had some tears in the corners of her eyes and hugged me.

Amethyst: B-Baby! I-I'm so sorry!

I froze for a second before patting her on the back. I put my hands on her shoulders and gently pushed her back.

Amethyst: H-Huh?

(Y/N): I appreciate your apology, I really do. But I think it's just too late for one.

Amethyst: Pl-Please don't say that!

(Y/N): I don't want this to be personal, so don't take it personally.

Garnet: Bro, it's hard for that when we are family.

I looked back at all of my friends. I don't know why, but I sudden felt emotional looking at all of them. I smiled at them.

(Y/N): ...I've spent a lot of my life trying to find my family. I thought all that time was spent looking for you, but I realize now. I realize that I already found my family. I'm already with my pack.

Onyx: Really now?

I looked at my father.

(Y/N): Yeah. And I don't care how much of a failure you see me as. Your words don't mean much to me anymore.

Amethyst: (Y/N)... I-I still want to make things better between us.

I looked away from them.

(Y/N): Maybe at some point, that could be a thing. But for now, I don't want to try. I hope you respect those wishes.

My mom studied me for a while before wiping her tears and nodding her head.

Amethyst: I-I understand.

Garnet: Well... Good luck to ya in the future, man.

I started to walk away from them to make it to my group of friends. I stopped in place and looked back at my "family".

(Y/N): And just as a warning. I won't pursue you for doing bad things. But if I catch any of you causing trouble, I won't be holding back against you.

Father glared at me, making me glare at him back. He crossed his arms and closed his eyes and grunted.

Onyx: We are leaving now.

I watched as the 5 of them started to walk away. My little brother and little sister waved bye at me as they walked away. I waved at them back and just watched them all walk away. I heard someone walk next to me and put a hand on my shoulder. I looked over and saw that it was Sonia.

Sonia: ...I'm proud of ya. Y'know that?

(Y/N): ...I do now.

Sonia: So? How are you feeling?

(Y/N): ...Better. A lot better.

She smiled at me and patted me on the shoulder.

Sonia: Glad to hear it.

I thought about what to do now. I looked back at my friends and had an idea. I ran over to them.

(Y/N): Yo! How about we all have some kind of party at my place?

Tails: A party?

(Y/N): Well yeah. Figured it would be a good way to apologize for what happened to you guys.

Rouge: I'm not sure if I could, Wolfy. You did hit me in such an awful way.

(Y/N): That happened? Also, Wolfy?

Shadow: Hmmp. You just need to toughen up, Rouge.

Rouge: Way to back me up.

Knuckles: Sorry bud, but I need to get back to my island.

Amy: Oh don't say that! I think having a party would be a great idea!

Cream: Yes! It sounds like a lot of fun!

Rouge walked up to Knuckles and grabbed him by the back of his shirt and started to drag him away.

Rouge: If I have to go to this party, you're a requirement too.

Knuckles: H-Hey! Let go of me!

I looked back at everyone else.

Vector: I suppose we can take a small break from our detective work.

Charmy: As long as there will be food!

Big: I can catch some fish if we run out.

I think I'm going to have to get groceries after this party if everyone is coming for food.

Omega: I do not care for food. Do you see me with a food eating device on me?

Silver: I'd love to show up at this party, (Y/N). If you need any help setting it up, I will help!

I smiled at Silver and nodded my head at her. I looked over at Shadow. She looked at me.

Shadow: What? You want me to show up too?

(Y/N): If you want.

She crossed her arms and looked away for a moment.

Shadow: ...

She stayed quiet for awhile before looking at me.

Shadow: Do you have coffee?

(Y/N): Uh... Yeah?

Shadow just nodded her head and started to walk away. I guess she's coming too. Sonia ran up to me and put her arm around my shoulder.

Sonia: How about we stop all this standing around and getting that party started?

(Time Skip)

Everyone who agreed to showing up to my party is at my apartment. I am working on cooking some chili for some chili dogs while a bunch of hotdogs were in boiling water in a pot nearby. As I was stirring the pot of ingredients for the chili, I noticed Shadow walked into the kitchen and started to open the cabinets until she found the coffee container. She grabbed it out of the cabinet.

(Y/N): Oh, the coffee machine is over there on that counter-

I said while pointing at the coffee maker, but Shadow just walked away with the container and sat down at the table. She opened the container and with the spoon inside scooped up some of the grounded up coffee beans and put it in her mouth.

(Y/N): R-Raw coffee?

I decided not to think about it too much and went back to making the chili. I saw Silver walk up to me.

Silver: Hey (Y/N). Do you need some help with anything?

(Y/N): I'll be fine. You can just relax while you're here.

I finished the chili and got ready to start making the chili dogs. Silver gained a light blue aura and started to use her psychokinesis on the chili, hotdogs, and hotdog buns to quickly make a bunch of chili dogs at once. She gently put them all on a big plate.

(Y/N): Wow.

I saw Sonia quickly dash into the kitchen and grabbed onto the big plate of chili dogs.

Sonia: Here, I'll help deliver all these dogs for ya!

Sonia grabbed one of the chili dogs and quickly ate it before running around to give people chili dogs. Soon after Sonia came back with an empty plate.

Silver: Huh? Where did they all go?

(Y/N): Sonia.

Sonia: Don't give me that look. Vector wanted five. I only had three.

Sonia put the plate down and just shrugged at me and Silver. I noticed that there are still some left over hotdogs. I thought about what to do and went to the fridge and opened it. I looked around and saw a container of coleslaw. I took it out and opened it, pouring the coleslaw on the remaining hotdogs.

Silver: What's that stuff?

(Y/N): This? Coleslaw. A lot of people put this stuff on their hotdogs.

Silver took one and bit into it. I saw her eyes light up and she smiled as she chewed and swallowed.

Silver: It's delicious!

Sonia: It's not really my speed, so knock yourself out with those dogs, Silver.

Me and Sonia walked out of the kitchen. I looked around and saw Amy sitting on the couch with a bunch of cards on the table in front of the couch and Big is sitting in front of the table. Amy flipped over some of the cards.

Amy: You will catch something very big soon.

Big: Oh boy! That sounds great! I hope it's a tough one to catch.

Big got up and walked away. I got curious and walked over to Amy and Sonia joined me.

(Y/N): Amy? What's this?

She looked over at me and smiled.

Amy: I see you were allured by Amy Rose the Wise. My tarot cards shall reveal what life has in store.

I leaned over at Sonia.

(Y/N): Is this real?

Amy: You don't know the power of these cards? Only ones unknowing of such knowledge would doubt them.

Sonia: She did use them to meet up with me for the first time.

(Y/N): Sure. I'm sure some cards will be able to tell me something.

I said, a little dismissive of some cards. Me and Sonia sat down across the table from Amy. Amy smiled and started to shuffle the cards. The cards started to float as they shuffled themselves. I saw three cards float down onto the table, facing down. The rest of the deck went onto the table next to the three other cards. Amy flipped over the three cards, revealing that the left one has a knight, the middle one has a heart, and the right card has a princess on it.

Amy: Ah, I see. The cards have spoken.

(Y/N): ...I don't get it.

Sonia: Yeah, I'm just as lost.

Amy pouted and pointed at the cards.

Amy: The cards are saying that you two will share an unbreakable love!

I felt my face heat up a bit hearing that. Sonia smirked and started to hug me with one arm.

Sonia: Didn't realize you loved me that much.

(Y/N): S-Same here...

I looked back at the cards and smiled.

(Y/N): Glad to see that the cards think of me as a knight in shining armor for you.

Sonia: Weren't you just doubting them before?

Amy: Oh! Um... You're the princess, according to the cards.

(Y/N): Wh-What?! Are you sure there isn't some kind of mix up?!

Amy: The cards never lie.

Cr-Crap! W-Well... If I'm not the knight, then I'm going to own it! I slammed my hand on the table and pointed at myself with my other hand.

(Y/N): I'm at the very least a Queen!

Sonia giggled as Amy put her hands up. I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked back and saw that it was Rouge with Omega standing next to her.

Rouge: Hey, Wolfy. A little birdie told me that you have a lot of shiny things.

I felt my tail start to swing back and forth really fast.

(Y/N): You want to see it?!

Rouge: Sure, why not?

I immediately ran into my room and grabbed my box of shiny things. I ran back into the living room and put the box on the table. I pulled out some shiny bolts and showed them to Rouge.

(Y/N): Here are some shiny bolts I have!

Rouge: Hmm... You got anything more?

I noticed Sonia giving her a skeptical look.

Omega: I am interested in the bolts.

I put the bolts back in the box and looked around in it. I pulled out half of a rock where there are a bunch of shiny crystals inside of.

(Y/N): I have this!

Rouge: Now this is what I'm interested in.

She grabbed it out of my hands and held it out for Omega. He started to scan the rock.

Omega: Estimated value... 5 rings.

Rouge: 5?! How is it so low?!

Omega: Those are just common crystals, not valuable jewels.

(Y/N): It's shiny, so to me it's priceless!

Rouge handed me back the rock as I gently put it back into the box.

(Y/N): So what did you think about the collection?

Rouge: It was...

Omega: Cool.

(Y/N): Glad you two liked it a lot!

They walked away as I got ready to put my box of shiny things back into my room. I saw that Tails walked over to me.

Tails: Sorry to say this, but I have to get going.

(Y/N): Oh, no problem. As long as you enjoyed your stay.

Tails nodded her head and pointed at my shoes.

Tails: Could I take those with me so I can work on upgrading them? I promise it won't take long.

(Y/N): Sure, Tails.

I took off my shoes and handed them to Tails. She soon after left my apartment. After Tails left, everyone else began to take their leave until it was just me and Sonia left.

Sonia: Seems like the party's over.

(Y/N): Yep. I think everyone liked it.

Sonia: I know they did...

I saw Sonia get up and took off Chip's bracelet from her left wrist and put it on top of a drawer.

(Y/N): You're not going to wear it?

Sonia: Well I just kinda realized that if I get into a dangerous situation again, it might get destroyed. So better to have it here for safe keeping.

Sonia looked back at me and smiled.

Sonia: So you wanna go out?

I looked over at a nearby clock on the wall and saw that it was getting to become nighttime.

(Y/N): It is getting a bit late... Plus I'm a sitting duck without those shoes to keep up with you.

Sonia: Oh don't say that. Having fun doesn't have a bedtime. And...

I saw Sonia quickly dash behind me and picked me up, holding me with both of her arms.

Sonia: I can carry ya.

I can feel myself blushing as Sonia looked down at me. I just nodded my head as my tail started to sway, lightly hitting Sonia's thigh over and over in the process. Sonia left my apartment while holding me, running fast for us to go somewhere. I noticed that as Sonia ran, she started to run across a big body of water towards an island. We soon after made it to a large area with green grass, large flowers, palm trees, and waterfalls nearby. Sonia put me down on my feet.

(Y/N): What is this place?

Sonia: This is Green Hill. I like to run through here from time to time. It's pretty relaxing.

I sat down on the ground and looked up at the night sky, seeing all of the shiny stars up there. Sonia sat down next to me.

(Y/N): ...Hey. Sonia?

Sonia: What's up?

(Y/N): How come you never take me to your place?

I looked over at Sonia and saw her rubbing the back of her head.

Sonia: So... I guess I never told you... I don't... Really have a house...

(Y/N): ...Huh?

I felt my jaw drop a bit from hearing that.

(Y/N): So you're... Homeless?

Sonia: I wouldn't say that! Just that I don't have any singular home is all!

I... I never thought Sonia was homeless! I thought she had at least someplace where she stayed at.

(Y/N): So where do you sleep?

Sonia: Like... Outside and stuff a lot of the time. Sometimes in a tree, under a tree, a small cave... Anywhere that I can get comfortable.

(Y/N): I-I see. Y'know, you can stay with me if you want.

Sonia just nodded her head and looked away from me. I couldn't help but start smiling to myself as I leaned over at Sonia and started to gently poke her cheek.

(Y/N): The savior of the world is homeless!~

Sonia swatted my hand away and pouted at me.

Sonia: N-Not like you were much better! You had to stay with Tails for awhile!

(Y/N): That's because my previous home was destroyed by a giant water monster. At least I had a house in the first place.

Sonia pouted more and tackled me to the ground. I tried to get up, but Sonia pinned my arms down and was sitting on my waist.

Sonia: So... You gonna stop the teasing?

(Y/N): Weeeeell... You gonna stop giving cute reactions?

We stared at each other for a bit until we started laughing with each other. As our laughter died down, I noticed that Sonia is still on top of me.

(Y/N): It is getting kinda late. I think we should head back out towards my place.

I said, but Sonia just looked down at me and smirked.

Sonia: So you want to tease to get cute reactions?~

I let out a nervous chuckle as Sonia gave me a... Devious look. She quickly leaned down and dragged her tongue across my neck.

(Y/N): Ah!

I let out a small squeal from the sudden sensation.

Sonia: I think your reactions are much cuter than mine.~

(Y/N): A-Alright, Sonia! I think we can stop this game now-

Sonia started to kiss me, making me stop talking before breaking the kiss.

Sonia: Don't give me that. I know how much you like it when I take charge. I remember how fast your tail would go when I did stuff like this while I was a Werehog. It could give me a run for my money.~

(Y/N): Th-That's fake and you know it!

Sonia smirked and motioned her head down to the side. I looked over and saw my tail poking out from under the side of my leg and swinging back and forth really really fast. I looked back up at Sonia as my face heated up further.

Sonia: Hedgehog got your tongue?~

I just nodded my head, not knowing what words I could even think to say to respond to her. She leaned down again and started to kiss me again. After awhile, we stopped the kiss as I looked up at Sonia. The shining of the night sky, thanks to the stars, somehow made Sonia look even more beautiful than ever. Something I didn't even think was possible.

(Y/N): S-Sonia?

Sonia: Yeah, babe?

(Y/N): ...I love you...

Sonia: Love ya too.
