(Readers POV)

Me, Sonia, and Chip all were going through Eggman's theme park. I dashed ahead because I saw a group of robots and kicked through them, making them explode. I continued to go forward, not wanting to waste any time. I had to stop when I encountered a large metal door. I looked around and it doesn't look like there's a way to open the door or go around it.

(Y/N): Stupid door.

Sonia: What's up?

I looked back and saw Sonia running towards me before stopping to stand next to me. I pointed over at the shut door. Sonia looked around, but didn't find much. We looked over and saw some kind of weird hourglass.

Chip: Wh-Wh-Whoa!

We saw Chip coming by really fast, trying to slow himself down. He hit the bottom of the hourglass, making it get knocked up into the air and flipped. The hourglass landed on the ground. Soon after Sonia grunted as purple flames covered her body and she turned into her Werehog form.

Chip: O-Ow.

Chip rubbed his head from his impact. Sonia went over to the door and grabbed the bottom of it. She grunted as she forced the door up, opening it.

Sonia: Now let's hurry and get moving.

We all went through the newly open doorway. It lead into some kind of giant air duct. Me and Sonia went into the huge air duct and started to slide down it. We had to dodge spikes and laser that were in the air duct.

Sonia: Talk about security. Eggman must not like rodents in his air ducts.

(Y/N): Yeah.

We eventually made it out of the air duct and ended up in a giant open room. Some doors opened up as those Dark Gaia creatures and Eggman robots rushed into the room. Chip came out of the air duct and landed on top of Sonia's head.

Chip: Oof!

Sonia grabbed onto Chip and threw him up into the air. She let out a howl as blue energy came out of her body. She ran at the Dark Gaia creatures and started to attack them. I used my shoes to dash forward and kicked through the Eggman robots. Me and Sonia quickly got rid of all of the way robots and creatures in the room. The blue energy coming from Sonia disappeared and she held her hand out. Chip landed on her hand, causing Sonia to lightly toss him into the air. Chip started to fly to catch himself.

Sonia: And that's that.

She went up to a closed door and forced it open. She went through the doorway, with me and Chip following closely behind. We walked into a room and we can see a giant stone door that looks like it belongs to a Gaia temple.

Chip: This is it! This is the temple!

Sonia: Then let's hurry up and restore the last emerald before Eggman shows up.

We all ran into the temple and made our way to the alter in the middle. Chip made the alter light up, making it rise up slightly. Sonia took out the Chaos Emerald and stretched her arm forward, put the emerald onto the alter. The Chaos Emerald started to glow white as it floated up into the air. The emerald returned to its usual white color. The ground started to shake, meaning that the final piece of the planet is returning to where it should be.

Chip: This final Chaos Emerald... Back at last!

We all decided to exit the temple while the last piece of the planet was returning to its usual spot.

Chip: This should put the world back to normal. Dark Gaia will go back to being sealed within the core.", and my work will be done.

Me and Sonia looked down at Chip. Chip definitely does seem happy that all of this will be over.

Sonia: That's great, Chip.

Chip: Yup! Thank you, Sonia and (Y/N)! It's all thanks to you two!

Chip started to fly up and gave me and Sonia and high five. Chip and Sonia started to laugh with each other. I just smiled to myself. Sonia and Chip stopped laughing when there was a weird rumbling going through the ground.

Sonia: Huh?

Chip: Hmmm? Do you feel that?

(Y/N): I don't think this is from the piece of the planet moving.

We all heard loud banging noises coming from above. We all looked up and saw a giant robot mech burst through the ceiling and stopped in front of everyone.

Eggman: Ahh ha ha haa! Looks like you're a bit too late!

I saw Eggman piloting the mech at the top. I clenched my fists tightly as I stepped forward.

(Y/N): EGGMAN!!!

Eggman: Oh my, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed! Maybe you should go ask your mommy for some help! Oh wait!

He started to laugh to himself after saying that.

(Y/N): You! You hired my own family against me!

Eggman: Yes, I did! To be honest, I didn't need to hire them. I just so happened to stumble across your father while on a trip and figured it would be perfect to ask for their help. They didn't even complete the job though. Seems like failure runs in the family after all!

(Y/N): I'll... I'll make you pay for that!

Eggman: Like you could! Thanks to my wondrous technology, Dark Gaia is whole and complete! I harnessed it's energy to put together this little creation. Behold, the ultra-hyper Prototype-1!

Before I could attack Eggman, the drill hand on the mech started to spin and shot out, hitting the floor and making it break apart, making me, Sonia, and Chip fall down a large and deep hole. Sonia managed to grab onto me and Chip. She started to jump from broken piece of metal to broken piece of metal until landed on a large falling platform. She put me and Chip down.

Sonia: Listen (Y/N). You gotta keep a cool head when dealing with Eggman. That mech means business.

(Y/N): Then I'll show I mean a lot more business!

The mech came down onto the metal platform with us.

Eggman: Ohh ho ho ho ho! This gorge will be your tomb!

I immediately dashed forward and kicked the body of the mech, but it didn't do much to it. Eggman tried to hit me, but I used my shoes to shoot myself backwards, avoiding the attack. The mech pointed it's other arm at me and started to shoot out a lot of bullets. Me and Sonia started to dodge them.

(Y/N): Stop hiding in that mech and face me head on!

I jumped high up into the air and started to spin. I dashed down to get to Eggman. He smiled wickedly as he got ready to press a button.

Sonia: (Y/N)!

The mech's gun arm pointed at me and opened up, shooting a large ball of ice at me. Sonia stretched her arm up at me and grabbed the back of my shirt, pulling me back down towards her. The ice ball missed me.

Sonia: Pull yourself together!

Eggman's mech regained another drill on its arm and shot it down at the platform we are on, causing it to break. Me, Sonia, and Chip all started to fall down as Eggman tried to shoot us down. We dodged the bullets and managed to land on a large, dirt platform that's slowly falling down to the core of the earth. Eggman's mech is still falling down, trying to get to us.

(Y/N): Eggman-

I was interrupted by a slap to my face. It wasn't a hard slap, since it was from Chip.

Chip: Come on (Y/N)! You can't give in to that rage! You're better than that!

(Y/N): I know what I'm doing!

Sonia: No, you don't. You almost got yourself hurt trying to get to Eggman.

(Y/N): I-I know what I'm doing-

Sonia grabbed my shoulder and made me look at her.

Sonia: Just take a deep breath. You'll get your pay back at Eggman, but you have to be stay calm.

I did feel myself get a bit calmer looking into Sonia's eyes. I listened to her and took a deep breath.

Sonia: Now let's go and beat Eggman, got it?

I nodded my head.

(Y/N): Yeah, got it.

The mech came down and tried to shoot us again. Sonia ran up to it and jumped onto one of its legs. The mech started to move its legs back and forth, trying to shake Sonia off. I dashed over and used my shoes to gain a lot of speed. I kicked one of the legs, making them stop moving. Sonia jumped up onto the body of the mech.

Eggman: Take this!

The drill shot out of the mechs arm and went straight for Sonia. She jumped up, dodging the drill and making the drill stab into the mech's body. Sonia used her stretchy arms to grab onto two parts of the mech. I used my shoes to shoot myself upward and kick the chest of the mech. Sonia pulled her arms back, making the parts she's holding get ripped off the mech. Sonia started to fall down. I quickly got behind her and pushed her upward. She used her stretchy arms to grab onto the top of the mech and get right in front of where Eggman is sitting.

Eggman: S-Sonia!

She started to punch over and over again, loosening the pod Eggman is inside from the mech. Sonia jumped up and grabbed onto the sides of the pod and ripped it out of the mech. I dashed over and got behind of Sonia and grabbed onto her. Flames started to shoot out of the back of my shoes, making me and Sonia spin around really fast. Her arms stretched as we spun Eggman's pod. Sonia let go, making the pod fly upward really far away. Me and Sonia landed back down on the dirt platform as the mech broke apart.

Chip: Woohoo! You two did it!

Before we could celebrate, a loud screeching could be heard. Me, Sonia, and Chip all looked over and saw a giant creature rising up from the surface of the earth's core. I don't think I could even find the words to start to describe it.

Sonia: Whoa!

(Y/N): What is that thing?

Chip: It's Dark Gaia! What Eggman said was true! Dark Gaia is whole!

The creature known as Dark Gaia started to stare down at me, Sonia, and Chip. I felt my heart pumping like crazy, like it's about to beat straight out of my chest. I noticed that Eggman managed to fly nearby in his pod.

Eggman: Yes, yes! Dark Gaia! Crush this insolent little hedgehog and her wolf boy! Kick them to the outer limits of space!

One of the energy tentacles coming from Dark Gaia knocked Eggman upward really fast, sending him back above the surface of the earth.

Eggman: Why meeeeeeeeee?!

Me and Sonia got ready to somehow confront this beast, but it glared at Sonia. She gasped out as she fell to the ground.

Chip: Sonia! What's wrong?!

(Y/N): Sonia! What's happening to you?!

She started to scream out in pain as a bunch of dark purple energy bursted out of her chest and went into Dark Gaia. Sonia reverted back into her normal form. She was still on her hands and knees as I tried to help her up.

Chip: Sonia, you've got to get up!

Sonia: (Y/N)... Chip... G-Get out of here...

There's no way I'm going to be leaving Sonia behind with a monster like this. Dark Gaia sent its energy tentacles at us, but Chip made a bubble of green energy around us, stopping the energy tentacles and destroying them.

Chip: Seven lights of the earth rekindled!

I heard a lot of shaking. I looked around and noticed something. I noticed 7 large structures making their way towards us.

Chip: Awaken, and gather here to me!

(Y/N): N-No way!

The 7 large structures are actually the 7 temples making their way to Chip. The temples started to form and combine together, forming into a giant colossal structure.

Me and Sonia are on the chest of the structure as I helped her stand back up. Seems like Chip can actually match Dark Gaia's size like this.

Chip: Sonia, (Y/N).

Sonia managed to stand up by herself as the Chaos Emeralds flew out of the temples and went into Sonia's body. A yellow light surrounded her body and when it disappeared, she is in her super form. Sonia turned to look at me. She put her hands on my shoulders and gave me a kiss. She broke the kiss and hugged me.

Sonia: Stay safe out there.

(Y/N): Huh?

Before I could ask what Sonia meant, she opened her mouth to speak.

Sonia: Chaos Control!

I felt myself get warped away and I ended up back at Shamar with Professor Pickle and Amy.

Pickle: Hmm? Where did you come from?

Amy: (Y/N)! Where's Sonia and Chip?! Are they okay?!

(Y/N): They're fighting Dark Gaia at the moment. Sonia used Chaos Control to send me here.

Pickle: It seems they are our last hope.

I looked up at the sky, which was now purple in color thanks to Dark Gaia's energy. Sonia. Please, come back safely after this is all over.

(Sonia's POV)

I let out a sigh as I turned to look over at Dark Gaia.

Chip: Sonia. Why did you send (Y/N) away?

Sonia: I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if he got hurt here, so I made sure that couldn't happen. Now... Let's do this.

Me and Chip, who is piloting the giant golem, started to dash forward at Dark Gaia. I started to let our beams of energy, but I was able to dodge them easily. Before me and Chip could get close, Dark Gaia made a large dome of purple energy around it.

Sonia: Seems like we ain't getting to the big guy easily.

Chip: He isn't getting away with this!

I saw the giant golem start to push itself through the dome of energy and got in front of Dark Gaia.

Sonia: Chip! You're amazing!

The giant golem and Dark Gaia started to fight. I need to get this dome gone and help Chip. I noticed that there are some energy tentacles sticking out of the dome. They might be what's keeping this energy dome up in the first place.

Sonia: Time to take this down!

I started to fly around and going straight through the tentacles, destroying them. I quickly made sure to destroy all of them, which made the dome of energy disappear. I looked over and saw that Dark Gaia has a hold of the giant golem with all six of its hands.

Chip: Sonia! I can't move!

Sonia: Hang on, buddy! On my way!

I quickly dashed over and went through each of Dark Gaia's hands, making it let go of Chip. Dark Gaia's large, middle eye started to glow before letting out large energy beam. Chip started to make the golem use it's arms to block the beam and managed to over power through it. The golem reeled it's arm back and threw it forward, punching Dark Gaia in the face.

Chip: Attack it now!

Sonia: I'm coming at it! Full force!

A large burst of yellow energy came from my body as I Boosted forward at Dark Gaia at high speed. I pierced it right through its giant green eye in the center. I went through and came out on the other end, flying back to get some distance and looked over to see Dark Gaia sinking back down into the core of the earth. It let out one final screech before disappearing into the core. I looked over at Chip and tried to give him a thumbs up, but I felt myself getting tired. The Chaos Emeralds left my body and returned to the surface. I lost my Super form and closed my eyes, falling unconscious. As my body went out cold, I think I heard a voice speaking to me.

Chip: Sonia. Sonia, you have to live!

Sonia: ...Ch...Chip...?

I felt my consciousness start to come back to me. I slowly opened my eyes and saw that I am falling from the sky.

Sonia: NOOOOOOOO!!!

I hit the ground, causing a bunch of dirt to go straight up into the air. I felt around and figured out my head got stuck in the ground. I managed to pull my head out and stumbled back a bit, but managed to keep balance on my feet.

Sonia: Ow...

I looked around and I'm where I first met Chip. I noticed Chip on the ground with his eyes closed. I tried to reach out to him, but his body faded away. All that was left was silver ring with a big green orb onto it. I walked over to it and picked it up and stared at it. As I looked at it, I can hear Chip's voice one last time.

Chip: I'll never forget you. I'll be here by you, always. A part of the earth you tread.

I slipped my left hand through the ring and put it around the cuff of my glove. I stared at the sun rising, taking a moment to appreciate the sight. I took a deep breath before running off. As I ran, I can hear a plane engine near me. I looked over and saw Tails flying the Tornado 1.

Tails: Hey, Sonia!

I saw her waving at me. I smirked and waved back. I started to run a bit ahead. I'll need to get back to (Y/N) and let him know that I'm alright. Let everyone know that everything is back to normal. I looked down at my left wrist, at the bracelet Chip left behind.

Sonia: Thank ya, Chip.
