(Readers POV)

Me, Sonia, Chip, and Tails all learned where the next Gaia Temple should be and it's at a place called Chun-nan. As we left the university, we heard someone shout.

Amy: Sonia!

We all looked over and saw Amy run over to us and pointed at Sonia.

Amy: Why didn't you tell me that's you?! I thought I embarrassed myself in front of a stranger!

Sonia: I tried to tell you... But you kinda ran off before I could.

Amy: Oh...

She rubbed the back of her head and started to blush. She smiled to herself.

Amy: Sorry about that. So where are you all going? Professor Pickle caught me up the whole putting the world back together plan.

Sonia: We are going to Chun-nan. That's where another temple is.

Amy: Then let me join with you!

Tails: The Tornado 1 is already running out of space...

Amy pouted and pointed at Tails.

Amy: You aren't going to leave me behind this time!

(Y/N): Oh! Wouldn't it be best if you stayed behind?

Amy got mad and stepped forward to stand in front of me. I took a step back and put my hands up.

Amy: Now what is that supposed to mean?!

(Y/N): I-I just mean that what if Professor Pickle needs protection?

Amy: ...Huh?

Sonia: If Eggman is willing to kidnap him once for information, then he might be willing to do it again.

Chip: Oh yeah! We need someone to protect that defenseless man!

Amy thought to herself for a moment before nodding her head and taking out her large hammer.

Amy: Understood! And I'll make sure to get rid of those weird creatures that come near!

Everyone gave Amy a thumbs up as we all left to head over to Chun-nan. I looked ahead and saw my mom, dad, and three siblings walking nearby. I started to run forward towards them.

Onyx: What was wrong with those people?

Amethyst: I just hope (Y/N) is alright.

(Y/N): Hey!

I shouted to get their attention. They all looked over at me as I stopped when I got close to them.

Garnet: So what was up with the crowd of knocked out people?

(Y/N): Honestly... No idea.

I shrugged my shoulders. Garnet let out a sigh.

Garnet: And here I thought you would know...

Ruby: Look at the cool shiny things me and sis found!

Sapphire: They are really shiny!

I looked down at my little brother and little sister. They opened their hands and revealed them holding some fancy looking jewelry, like earrings, rings you would put on your fingers, and necklaces.

(Y/N): Woah, those are some shiny things. Where did you find them?

Ruby: Some people dropped them when they were knocked out.

(Y/N): Wh-What?!

Sapphire: It's shiny. We can't say no to shiny things!

(Y/N): Y-You can if it belongs to other people!

They gave me confused looks. I looked over at some of the people that were nearby, confused and looking for things.

(Y/N): You have to hurry up and return their belongings.

Ruby and Sapphire: Okay...

They walked over to the people and gave them their things back. They were thanked for finding it for them. They walked back and held their heads down in shame. I can't tell if it's because they feel bad for trying to steal or because they couldn't keep the shiny objects.

Amethyst: Oh my goodness. I wasn't expecting those two to become trouble makers.

I looked over and saw dad glaring while crossing his arms. Is he glaring at Ruby and Sapphire... Or me?

Onyx: We heard that a piece of the planet got fixed.

(Y/N): Oh yeah! We figured out how to get that done, so expect a restored planet soon enough!

Garnet: Way to go man! That's what's up!

Amethyst: How did you do it?

I pulled out the drained Chaos Emerald I still had that I got from Sonia.

(Y/N): When we restore a Chaos Emerald, they restore a piece of the planet in return.

Onyx: Aren't Chaos Emeralds supposed to be colorful?

(Y/N): Yeah, but Eggman did some stuff- Too much to get into now!

I saw Sonia, Tails, and Chip about to leave the area.

Sonia: Hey (Y/N)! I don't mean to rush ya, but we need to get going!

I nodded my head at her and turned to look at my family.

(Y/N): I'll see y'all again in a bit! Gotta go!

I put the drained Chaos Emerald in my pocket. I ran over to catch up with Sonia, Tails, and Chip as we all made it to the Tornado 1 to head over to Chun-nan.

(Time Skip)

Me, Sonia, and Chip are all running through Chun-nan. It was nighttime by the time we made it, so Sonia is still in her Werehog form. We did land in a village and Sonia agreed to help find a lost elder as well.

Chip: Couldn't we have stayed in that village for a bit? They looked like they had some tasty food! Man, I'm hungry.

(Y/N): You really do have a bottomless stomach in you, huh?

Sonia: Maybe on our way back we can get some of those dumplings.

Chip: Dumplings? I don't know what they are, but they sound yummy!

As we ran around, dealing with some of those creatures on the way, we managed to find what looks like the door to a Gaia Temple.

(Y/N): Score!

We were about to jump over, but saw an old man unconscious nearby.

Chip: Is that the elder the village was talking about?

Sonia immediately jumped over to the man to check up on his condition. Me and Chip quickly followed behind Sonia. Before we could check up on the man, a large purple colored phoenix covered in flames flew around at us before landing a couple feet away.

It screeched at us. Sonia grunted and got ready to fight.

Sonia: I don't like having to fight birdies, so step aside!

It started to fly and tried to fly towards us to attack. We all ducked down and barely avoided the bird. It flew back around to face us and flapped it's wings. The feathers started to shoot at us. Sonia put her arms up to block as I tried my best to dodge. The feathers were also on fire. As I was dodging, I felt a feather hit my butt, making it catch on fire.

(Y/N): Eyouch!

I jumped up into the air from the heat and quickly ran around trying to put it out.

Sonia: (Y/N)! Simmer down already!

(Y/N): Now's not the time for puns!

Sonia: ...Pun?

I ran around and found a large jar full of water. I jumped into it and let out a sigh as the water put the fire out. I got out of the jar and shook any water off of me.

(Y/N): Sonia! Use this jar to put the flames out!

Sonia looked over at me pointing at the jar. She nodded and quickly ran over to it. She grabbed it and lifted it over her head. The phoenix swooped down at Sonia and she threw the jar. The jar hit the head of the bird, making it break. The water got all over the bird, putting the flames out.

Sonia: There we go! That got ya to cool off!

The phoenix landed on the ground and tried to recover. Sonia ran over and did an uppercut, hitting the chin of the bird. She jumped up and grabbed the beak, forcing it shut and she slammed her other fist down on the bird's head. Sonia let go of the beak and grabbed it's head with both hands. She yelled out as she turned around and managed to lift the Phoenix off the ground and whip it over her head, slamming it down to the ground. A burst of flames came from the impact as Sonia landed on the ground and let out a loud howl, claiming her victory in this fight.

(Y/N): Wow...

I ran over to the old man and saw him start to wake up. I put my hand on his back and started to help him sit up.

(Y/N): Are you okay?

Old man: Y-Yes. Thank you.

Everyone could hear a loud rumbling noise. We all looked over and the door to the temple started to open up. I helped the old man to his feet before me, Sonia, and Chip all ran over to enter the temple. We ran down the long hallway that looked like the first temple. Chip flew ahead and got to the alter, making it rise up. Sonia took out a Chaos Emerald and stretched her arm forward to put the gem on the alter. It started to turn red in color as it floated into the air. It let out a pretty light before being a fully restored Chaos Emerald.

(Y/N): That is really cool to watch.

The ground started to shake for awhile until it stopped. Seems like another piece of the planet has been restored. Me, Sonia, and Chip all left the temple as the door to the temple closed behind us. Me and Sonia looked at each other.

Sonia: Two down.

(Y/N): Just five more to go!

Sonia accidentally bumped into Chip, who was flying in front of her. She groaned a bit before easily moving Chip away. We looked forward and saw that the phoenix was back up and looking at us. Sonia got ready to fight it again, but the old man put his hand up.

Old man: The moment the temple lit up, the beast woke up. It appears he's come back to his senses.

Sonia: I see. I'll bet your job is to guard this temple here. You must've gone berserk when the emeralds lost their power.

It raised its head up into the air and spreader out its wing before letting out a screech. Seems like it agreed to what Sonia said. It is a rather beautiful looking bird, mostly thanks to the fact it's not trying to burn me alive anymore. Chip flew up to the bird to get close to its face.

Chip: Well, I'm glad you're back! Want some chocolate?

He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a chocolate bar. The phoenix grabbed the bar with its beak before flying up into the air and landing onto of the temple.

(Y/N): I think that chocolate bar is good enough as an apology for hurting him.

Sonia: I wasn't that rough... Was I?

She looked at me. I just rubbed the back of my head.

(Y/N): I'm not too sure. You did slam it down onto the ground kinda hard though.

Sonia crossed her arms.

Sonia: I only got a little mad, I'll admit. But only because you got hurt.

(Y/N): R-Really?

She just nodded her head at me. I was a bit flattered that Sonia would get mad over me being hurt. I gave her a hug, catching her a bit off guard.

(Y/N): Thanks. Just make sure not to go overboard.

Sonia: O-Okay.

She gave me a quick kiss before I broke the hug. Sonia lifted me up and put me on her shoulder.

(Y/N): Oop!

Sonia: We did what we came here to do and helped find the elder. Now let's get going to find the next temple.

Sonia started to walk away while carrying me on her shoulder. Chip flew over to catch up to us and landed onto the top of Sonia's head.

Chip: You must be pretty strong to carry me and (Y/N) without slowing down.

Sonia: I just think both of you are light.

Sonia quickly made her way back to the village and we met up with Tails. She got a box of dumplings, much to Chip's delight. We all got onto the Tornado 1 and left to locate the next Gaia Temple.
