(Sonia's POV)

That was... I don't even know how to describe that. One moment I look like someone else entirely and the next I'm... Me!

Sonia: That was strange, but no point in standing around.

I quickly picked up the drained Chaos Emeralds and made sure that all 7 are here with me. I looked around and noticed a city nearby. I pointed over at it while looking at the boy.

Sonia: Since you were sleeping nearby, someone might know you there.

???: Hmm... Alright, let's try it.

We quickly went over to the city and started to walk around it. I pulled out two of the Chaos Emeralds and started to juggle them with one hand as the boy just flew by me.

Sonia: What do you figure that was all about? The hair, and those arms, and...

I asked, referring to that weird appearance I had.

Sonia: And look at the Chaos Emeralds.

The boy, while still flying, turned around to look at me.

???: So is this what you usually look like?

I caught both of the emeralds and put them in my pocket as I looked at myself

Sonia: Yeah, this is the real me! Pretty cool, huh?

I said while striking a little pose. I noticed that the boy isn't near me anymore. I quickly started to look around to see where he went off to.

Sonia: Huh? Where'd you go?

I looked ahead and saw him flying in front of an ice cream stand as the person working at it was making a complex looking ice cream cone.

???: Ooooh.

Looks like the little guy is really admiring that ice cream cone.

Ice Cream Man: Looks good, don't it?

The boy nodded his head.

Ice Cream Man: That there Chocolate Chipped Cream Sundae Supreme is the pride of the city! The whole world can come tumbling down, but they'll still line up for a taste!

I can't believe how this boy wanted to figure out what happened to him then get easily distracted by some ice cream.

Sonia: Hey! What about your memories?!

I shouted at him, but his eyes didn't leave that ice cream cone. I think he even started to drool a bit.

???: Chocolate chip... Sundae... Supreeeeme!

The man took the ice cream cone and was about to hand it over to the boy, but started to move his arm back and forth to make the cone just out of reach.

Ice Cream Man: Ha ha, you said it! Enjoy it, kiddo. Satisfaction guaranteed! If you don't love it, you get your money back!

Sonia: HEEEY!!!

???: Oh, I loooooove it!

I let out a sigh as I put my hands on my hips. I bet he doesn't even have the money for it, if any money at all. I walked over to the ice cream stand and asked for a cone myself. The man quickly made another one and I paid for both cones. The boy happily took his and started to eat it. Me and him continued walking as we looked for people to ask if they know him.

???: Mmmm! Wow, this chip whatever stuff is great!

At least he enjoys the ice cream. A bit too overpriced if you ask me.

Sonia: If you say so... How about you give me a hand and help look for somebody who knows you, Chip?

He looked at me for a moment before tilting his head in confusion.

???: Chip?

Sonia: Gotta call ya something, don't I? Whaddya think?

Chip: Yeah! Chip... Chip! I love it! Yum!

He started to fly around me. Glad Chip likes the nickname. I tried to keep my eyes on him while we flew around me. Don't want him wanting me to buy something again.

Sonia: Now what do you say we start asking around and see if anybody here knows you?

Chip: Okay!

Phew! Finally got him to focus on what the goal is. I'm sure if (Y/N) was with me, he'd be able to keep Chip's mind on the same track. Me and Chip started to walk around, asking people if they know who Chip is. Every person so far says that they don't know him. I heard my phone start to ring. I pulled it out and saw it was (Y/N) calling me.

Chip: Hmm? What's that you got there?

Sonia: It's a phone. You use it to talk to people.

I answered the phone.

Sonia: Hello?

(Y/N): Hey Sonia. I woke and saw you weren't anywhere nearby, so I'm calling you to make sure you're doing alright.

Sonia: Yeah, I'm doing just fine.

Chip: Woah! A voice is coming out of that phone!

(Y/N): Um... Who's that?

Sonia: A bit of a long story. That's Chip. He doesn't remember anything about himself so I'm helping him out.

(Y/N): Oh that's nice of you. Where are you at? I'll come over and help too!

Sonia: Oh, I'm at...

I stopped when I realized I have no idea where I am. I quickly asked someone nearby where I'm at and they said I'm at a place called Apotos.

Sonia: I'm at Apotos.

(Y/N): Can't say I've heard of that place before. Let me look it up... You're how far away?!

I did fall from space, so I guess it makes sense I'm far away from where (Y/N) is. And going off of how he isn't panicking, he isn't aware of the planet... Breaking into pieces.

Sonia: Then how about me and Chip come get you after we are done here?

(Y/N): Alright, I'll get ready for that! Love you, bye!

Sonia: Love you, bye.

Chip: Love you, bye!

(Y/N): Th-Thanks Chip.

The call ended. I put my phone back into my pocket and took a lick from my ice cream. Me and Chip started to walk around all over this town, asking person after person if they know about Chip or not. Even after a couple of hours of doing so, we couldn't find a single person who knows him. At least I'm finding a decent number of rings so I can buy Chip something if he gets hungry again.

(Time Skip)

Me and Chip are walking around the street of Apotos. It's around dusk time now. Chip is walking in front of me, looking down at the ground.

Chip: Hmmm. Still no luck finding anyone who knows me.

He definitely is bummed about this not being a fruitful endeavor.

Sonia: Don't worry about it.

I walked in front of him, making him stop walking.

Sonia: Maybe your memory'll come back on its own. Remember anything yet?

He looked down again as he was lost in thought.

Chip: Mmm... Nope!

Sonia: Oh, well.

I looked up at the sky, unsure of where to take things from here. The sun completely went under the horizon and various street lamps turned on to light up the area for night. I suddenly felt a bunch of pain going through my body. I crunched up as I started to grunt.

Chip: Sonia?

A purple flame started to come from my body until it engulfed me completely. I let out a small scream as the flames went away.

Chip: Whoooa, Miss Monster Girl is back!

I opened my eyes and looked at myself, seeing that I'm back to being... That weird form that Eggman turned me into.

Sonia: So, when the sun goes down, I turn into... This?

Chip: Are you okay, Sonia?

Sonia: I'm fine... I just need to be careful who sees me like this.

Wait... What would (Y/N) think if he saw me like this?! He... He wouldn't think I'm ugly or something, right? I should worry about that when I do actually meet up with him. Chip flew past me for something.

Chip: Sonia! Sonia, look!

I turned around to look at Chip pointing at something. I saw him pointing at the ice cream stand we went to when we first got to this place. Chip ran over to it as the man running the stand looks bummed out of his mind.

Ice Cream Man: It's hopeless.

I walked over with Chip to the stand.

Ice Cream Man: The whole planet has split apart. We're doomed.

Chip went up to the stand and tried to cheer up the man.

Chip: Mister? Hey, Mister! Hey, don't cry!

That didn't really help him out much. Chip tried to think of another solution as he looked around.

Chip: Uhh, ice cream!

Chip saw one of those elaborately made ice cream cones and picked it up and tried to hand it to the man.

Chip: How about some more of this super tasty stuff?

The man looked up at Chip.

Ice Cream Man: What good is ice cream at a time like this?

The man slammed his upper body onto the ice cream stand, making Chip stumble back a bit and drop the cone.

Sonia: Whoops!

I tried to run forward fast to get it, but I can't run that fast in this form. I reached out my arm and it suddenly grew really long as I grabbed the cone. My arm came back to me and went back to its usual length.

Chip: S-Sonia?! Your arm just stretched!

Sonia: Weird...

I moved the ice cream cone to my other hand. I managed to stretch it again and put the cone back on the stand and my arm came back.

Sonia: Looks like this isn't all downsides though.

Chip and the man looked at me for a moment before the man went back to crying. I just shrugged my arms at Chip. Looks like there isn't any cheering him up now. More reason to help fix the world... Somehow.

Sonia: I know. Tails!

Chip: Tails?

Sonia: She is one of my friends and is a genius. I'm sure she'll be able to figure out how to fix all of this mess.

Chip: Really?! Could she also help me figure out my memory?!

Sonia: If anyone could figure it out, it's her.

Chip: Then let's go meet up with her right away!

I nodded my head as Chip started to fly over to me. I tried to pull my phone out of my pocket. It's a little hard with how big my hands are now and how tightly the pockets hug my body. I managed to get my phone out and was about to call Tails, but started to get a call from (Y/N) again. I let out a cough, hoping to make my voice sound more normal as I answered the phone.

Sonia: Hello-

(Y/N): Why is the planet broken?!

Looks like he found out.

(Y/N): I don't want to assume things, but it was Eggman, right?

Sonia: Yeah, it was.

(Y/N): Are you okay?! You should've told me about this sooner!

Sonia: S-Sorry, just have a lot on my plate is all.

(Y/N): Hey Sonia, you sound a little weird. Are you sick or something?

Sonia: N-No! I'm fine! Trust me! I never felt better! I need to call Tails! Bye!

I hung up the call and let out a sigh.

Chip: I didn't get to say bye...

I quickly called Tails and asked her to meet up somewhere at Apotos. She agreed and we stopped the phone call. I put my phone back into my pocket.

Sonia: Let's get going, Chip!

I started to run forward to get to where me and Tails are going to meet up. Chip quickly flew next to me to follow me. We turned a street corner and saw something weird. A bunch of strange creatures are standing on the streets.

Chip: Who are those guys?

Sonia: Not sure.

One of them looked over at me and let out a screech. The others looked over and saw me too as they all started to run towards me. One tried to attack me, but I managed to jump back.

Sonia: They definitely aren't friendly!

I stretched my arm out and grabbed onto one of their legs. I swung the creature around, slamming him into the rest of the creatures. They all let out a screech before some turned into purple energy and went into my body. I quickly slashed at the rest, making them do the same thing.

Sonia: This is definitely strange. Those creatures might have something to do with all of this.

Me and Chip continued on our way, going through the town while I dealt with those strange monsters. They are much trouble, but there is a lot of them around here.

Chip: I hope you're friend is okay.

Sonia: I'm sure she'd be curious and try to study those creatures.

We continued on our way and made it to where me and Tails agreed to meet up. If I wasn't like how I am now, I would've gotten her in a second. Tails is likely somewhere nearby. I heard a loud crash behind me. I looked back and saw a giant creature holding onto a giant weapon.

Chip: Whoa! That's a big one!

It looks like it's not going down without a fight.

Sonia: You ready to go?!

It tried to slam its hand down at me. I managed to dodge it by running on all fours and go underneath its legs. I started to punch and claw at its legs, trying to knock it down. It swung its tail, making it hit me. The force knocked me back and hit a wall. I groaned and shook my head.

Sonia: You definitely have more fight than your friends do!

I ran over to it and tried to hit it again. My arm stretched out and punched its stomach. It grabbed onto my arm and swung me over it's shoulder and I got slammed into the ground. The giant monster jumped up and one of its feet landed on me. I gasped out in pain.

Chip: Sonia?!

I started to grunt as a blue aura started to come out of my body. I managed to lift the monster's leg off of me and I pushed him back with a bunch of sudden strength. I let out a loud howl. I started to punch at the monster again, this time with harder and faster punches. It tried to counter attack me, but I got out of the way. I stretched my arms and grabbed its legs. I pulled back and jumped into the air, getting the monster up into the air too. I turned around and got ready to slam the monster down.

Sonia: Now taste the floor!

My arms stretched more as I threw them down, making the monster gain a lot of speed and crash into the ground with a lot of force. It's body vanished and turned into that purple energy before going into my body. I landed on the ground and caught my breath as that blue aura disappeared. I looked around and noticed that Tails is hiding behind some rubble, probably from the monster.

Sonia: Hey, Tails!

She looked out of the rubble and looked at me.

Tails: Sonia?!

Sonia: Looks like you beat me here for a change.

Tails: Sonia? Is that really you?

She flew over to me to get a closer look. She landed in front of me.

Tails: That's a new look. What happened?

Sonia: You know me. Never a dull moment.

Chip looked at Tails and smiled as he flew over to her and landed on his feet. He looked up at her and pulled out a chocolate bar.

Chip: Want some chocolate?

Tails looked at Chip curiously for a moment before taking the bar from him.

Tails: Uh, thanks.
