(Readers POV)

I saw Sonia running away from the scene. No matter what, she just keeps going forward. It's one of the reasons I fell in love with her. I walked over to the deactivated Metal Sonia. I stared down at her. The words she said to me... I can still hear them, clear as day.

Neo Metal: It's the same reason your family abandoned you.

I shook my head. I heard someone walking towards me. I looked back and saw Amy walking towards me.

Amy: (Y/N)...?

(Y/N): ...I'm glad no one got hurt. I'll be leaving now.

I started to walk away from the scene. I think I just need to get some sleep, but I'm sure that won't help much.

(One Week Later)

Me and Tails are at her workshop. I am sitting at a table as Tails is just working on some machines and stuff. I started to tap my finger on the table. The silence was broken by the door on Tails's workshop getting a knock. I got up and opened the door, seeing Sonia standing there.

Sonia: Yo, (Y/N)! I assume Tails is here?

(Y/N): Yeah, she is. Tails, Sonia is here.

I looked back and saw Tails stop working on what she was tinkering with and walked over.

Tails: Hey Sonia!

Sonia: I was thinking that we can take a small trip to a city I came across a little bit ago. You all free?

Tails: Sure, I can always make time to hang out.

(Y/N): I'm good. I'll stay here.

Tails and Sonia looked at me in silence for a moment.

Tails: Are you sure?

(Y/N): Y-Yeah... I'm sure.

Sonia stared at me. She looked over at Tails.

Sonia: You can go on ahead. I'll catch up.

Tails: Sure thing, Sonia.

Tails left her workshop. Sonia walked inside and closed the door behind her. She put her arms around my neck, pulling me closer to her.

Sonia: You can come with. You aren't going to burden anyone.

I stayed quiet and looked to the side.

Sonia: Hey hey, look at me.

Sonia put her hands on the sides of my face, making me look back at her.

(Y/N): I'm sorry... I just really don't feel like going anywhere right now.

Sonia studied me for a moment before nodding her head and letting go of my face.

Sonia: If you don't want to come, I won't force you.

She quickly wrapped her arms around me and placed a kiss on my cheek.

Sonia: Just promise me that you'll be fine.

(Y/N): Okay, I promise.

I kissed Sonia's cheek and hugged her back. We broke the hug and she left the workshop, leaving me by myself. I went back over to the house able and sat down on the chair near it. I saw a tv remote on the table. I grabbed it and turned the tv on the wall on. I tried to find something to watch to get my mind off things. I mindlessly switched through channels. I looked around and noticed a bunch of pieces of paper with numerous pencils around. I grabbed them and put them on the table in front of me.

(Y/N): ...Maybe I can...

I picked up a pencil and started to sketch something. As I was sketching, I stopped and crumbled up the pieces of paper and got a new piece.

(Time Skip)

I was asleep until I felt someone gently shaking me. I opened my eyes and saw Tails is the one doing so. She stopped when she saw me awake. I looked around and saw that I was asleep with my upper body resting on the table. A bunch of crumbled up pieces of paper and worn out pencils around me.

Tails: You look like you stayed up late.

I let out a yawn as I sat up and stretched. Small drop of tears came out of my eyes as I yawned, making me wipe them away. I noticed Tails putting away some boards of differing colors.

(Y/N): What is that stuff?

Tails: These? They are called Extreme Gear. I made some because me, Sonia, and Knuckles needed to use them.

(Y/N): I thought only you and Sonia went to hang out?

Tails: Long story.

(Y/N): So what are they?

Tails: They are like hover boards. It's the most simple way to put it.

(Y/N): Oh, that sounds kind of cool.

Tails put the Extreme Gears away.

Tails: I'm going to go buy some parts I need. I'll be right back.

I waved bye to Tails as she left the workshop. I looked over to where she put the Extreme Gear and walked over to it. I got one out and turned it on. It started to float and I got on it. I started to wobble, but managed to quickly get my balance.

(Y/N): Wow, this is actually kinda cool.

I thought about this for awhile and my mind started to get flooded with ideas.

(Y/N): Maybe I just need someone to help me find that special something about me.

I got off of the hover board and got the last piece of paper that isn't crumbled. I started to draw on it. I remember how I was able to dodge those weird spikes from Metal Sonia by spinning in the air.

(Y/N): This has to work!

After I got done drawing, I waited for Tails to get back. After some time, I heard the door open and saw Tails walk in. I got in front of her and showed her the piece of paper and pointed at what I had drawn on it.

(Y/N): This is a huge favor to ask of you, but could you make something for me?

Tails put the stuff she got down on the ground and took the piece of paper and looked at it in detail.

Tails: Huge favor? I can build this easily in an hour, maybe less!

I started to smile that Tails is willing to do this for me.

(Y/N): Thanks a lot Tails!

Tails: You do owe me some mint candies though.

After Tails makes this for me, I can finally really help out everyone. Especially Sonia.

(One Hour Later) (Sonia's POV)

I am running around. I noticed that the sun is getting ready to set.

Sonia: I should pay a visit to (Y/N) real quick, make sure he's-

I was interrupted by something speeding past me. I stopped in my tracks and saw that it was a person. The person stopped, being a few yards away from me. And it wasn't just any person, it was (Y/N)!

Sonia: Now that's a bit different from usual. How'd you manage to do that?

He looked over at me and smiled. I noticed that his shoes a bit different from usual. His soles are now metal.

(Y/N): Well I had Tails do me a favor and she made these new kicks for me. Just watch what I can do with these bad boys.

I saw that he started to float in the air. Looks like he got some ideas from seeing that Extreme Gear Tails took back with her.

(Y/N): But that's not it!

Now I'm curious. I saw the back of his soles opened up a small hole and small metal pipe came out. Flames started to come out of the pipes, sending (Y/N) forward really fast.

Sonia: So that's how you got so fast!

He pulled his body back, making him go up into the air. He started to spin around really fast, thanks to the speed his new shoes give him. (Y/N) stopped spinning and the flames stopped coming from his shoes. I saw the pipes go back into the soles and came out of the front now and started to let out flames again, making (Y/N) spin the other direction. He turned the flames off and started to slowly descend to the ground and turned off the floating.

(Y/N): I'm definitely getting used to spinning like that... Thoughts?

He looked over at me to see my reaction.

Sonia: I loved it! I assume you're loving them just as much?

(Y/N): Oh definitely!

He brought one of his feet up and grabbed onto the shoe to look at it closely with the biggest smile on his face.

(Y/N): Tails made them pretty light weight and they're comfy to wear! I can't thank her enough for this!

I walked over to (Y/N) while he is still admiring his new shoes. He looked up and got a bit surprised that I was in front of him suddenly. He started to blush.

(Y/N): Didn't see you get so close.

Sonia: You don't mind, do ya?

(Y/N): N-Not at all!

I noticed how his tail started to sway back and forth. He put his arms around my body, holding me closer to him.

Sonia: I'm glad to see you smile like that again.

(Y/N): Really?

Sonia: Why would I lie?

I playfully punched his shoulder. He let out a small laugh.

(Y/N): Hehe... Hey, Sonia?

Sonia: Yeah, what is it?

(Y/N): I think it's time I told you something.

I smiled at him as I decided to play dumb.

Sonia: Really now? What could you possibly want to tell me?

(Y/N) took a deep breath before locking eye contact with me.

(Y/N): Sonia, I'm in love with you.

I smiled as I pushed myself onto (Y/N) and started to kiss him on the lips. He leaned into the kiss and we stayed like for a few moments. I pulled my head back and stared at him.

Sonia: I love ya too, (Y/N).

I noticed that (Y/N)'s tail started to wag back and forth even faster. I couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. I pointed at it, making (Y/N) look back and saw how fast his tail is moving.

Sonia: You must've really liked that kiss.

(Y/N): H-How could I not? You have nice lips.

Sonia: Thanks for the flattering. You're a surprisingly good kisser.

(Y/N): You know what makes a good or bad kiss?

Sonia: Nope! I just like yours, that's all!

(Y/N): Th-Thanks.

I looked over and saw that the sun has set and is now becoming nighttime. (Y/N) let go of me as I got ready to run.

Sonia: You up for a nighttime run? We could test just how fast those new shoes are.

(Y/N): Sure, I don't see why we can't.

(Y/N) walked over to stand next to me and got ready to run too. I smirked to myself.

Sonia: 3... 2... 1... Go!

Me and (Y/N) started to go forward at the same time. I saw him using his new shoes to float and to propel himself forward. He's actually managing to keep up with me pretty well.

Sonia: Is this the fastest you've gone with those shoes?!

(Y/N): Yeah! I'm glad that I'm able to keep up with you though!

Sonia: Glad to hear it! But I could still go faster than this!

(Y/N): Well that isn't surprising to hear!

We kept going forward. We went into a forest. I ran up a tree and jumped high up into the air. I saw (Y/N) using his new shoes to go higher up into the air. I saw him get in front of the moon and he started to let out a loud howl. I smiled as I started to howl with him. (Y/N) looked down at me with his face blushing. We started to fall down to the ground. We safely landed on the ground.

(Y/N): I wasn't expecting you to howl with me.

Sonia: Well I figured since we are together, I'm part of the "pack" now.

(Y/N): Y-Yeah, I guess you are now.

I started to run again, making (Y/N) start moving and catch up with me.

(Y/N): Hey, Sonia?

I turned around to look at (Y/N) and started to run backwards.

Sonia: Wassup?

(Y/N): So... I was wondering when I'd get that concert from you?

I giggled as I crossed my arms.

Sonia: You were actually serious about that?

(Y/N): Y-You offered it!

Sonia: Okay okay, how about some time tomorrow then? Got any song requests?

(Y/N): A-As long as you are singing it, I don't care what sound it is.

He started smiling at me.

Sonia: You sound so cheesy, it's cute.

I felt really happy that me and (Y/N) are officially a thing now. I can't wait for all the new adventures we are going to be having together now.
