(Readers POV)

After a bit of sitting around, the train stopped and it's doors opened up. Me, Sonia, and Tails all got up and we left the train. I looked around and noticed what looks like a workshop on top of a hill. Sonia and Tails started to run towards me.

(Y/N): Ah! Wait for me!

I started to run too, trying to catch up to both of them. I ran up a set of stairs and found myself at a flat area. There is another set of stairs to the side, going up to the workshop.

???: Ha ha ha ha! If it isn't Sonia!

Me, Sonia, and Tails looked over and saw a bald man with a large mustache riding inside of some kind of flying pod.

Sonia: Look! It's a giant talking egg!

???: Silence! I am Dr. Robotnik, the greatest scientific genius in the world!

Sonia: Whatever you say, Eggman!

(Y/N): Why is this guy here?

Sonia: Eggman over there is a bad guy always looking for trouble. Last time I saw him I had to stop him at a place called the Northstar Islands.

Eggman: Enough! I've got big plans, and now I'm going to put them to work!

Tails: You're always up to no good. Now what do ya want?

Eggman: I want all of the Chaos Emeralds. Better not interfere! Or else!

Sonia: Or else what, ya big loser?

Eggman: Or else I'll take them away from you by force... The hard way!

The man flew his pod away and went down a nearby cliff. When it flew back up, the flying pod now has extra parts on the side and back of it. I saw the man push a button as a bunch of missiles started to fire at me. Sonia quickly grabbed my hand and started to run away from the missiles. Tails also started to run away from the missiles, using her two tails as like a propeller to go faster.

(Y/N): He wasn't kidding when he said the hard way!

After all the missiles hit the ground, causing some small explosions, I saw the parts on the man's pod gained some large drills and dived down at me and Sonia.

Eggman: All systems! Full power!

Sonia jumped back, making the man crash into the ground and getting stuck. Sonia let go of my hand and jumped up into the air. She curled up and dashed forward at the man, hitting the pod. Tails came over and swiped her tails at the pod too. The man managed to get unstuck from the ground, but the attached parts started to blow up and fall off. The pod started to produce a lot of smoke and fell down to the ground.

Sonia: Well, that wasn't so hard.

(Y/N): He said he wanted the "Chaos Emeralds". What are those?

Tails walked up to me and showed me a purple gem.

Tails: This is a Chaos Emerald. There are 7 in total. Even just one has unlimited power, so it's important to keep them safe.

Eggman: Aha!

Suddenly, a claw came from the pod and grabbed the purple Chaos Emerald from Tails's hands, surprising me, Tails, and Sonia.

Sonia: Oh no!

The claw went back to the pod as it started to fly again. The man grabbed the gem and held it up.

Eggman: Come on Chaos, time to eat!

Sonia: Chaos?

I noticed a puddle of water moving towards the pod. It stopped and formed into the monster that Sonia saved me from last night.

Sonia: Oh no, isn't that the same monster I saw the other day...

(Y/N): Yep! I wouldn't forget what that monster looked like.

Chaos. That's the name of that creature. The Chaos Emerald was thrown into Chaos, making a bright purple light cover the area. When the light disappeared, Chaos actually changed form.

The emerald is in its right hand as it looks like it's right arm gained some kind of bones.

Eggman: Ooooh yes! It's just as the stone tablets predicted! Ha ha ha ha! His strength increases every time I feed him a Chaos Emerald! With all 7 emeralds in him, he'll be invincible! And work for me! Together, we'll destroy Station Square! And on its ruins, I'll build Robotnikland, the ultimate city! Where I will rule it all!

He definitely has this entire thing planned out. But I'm not liking the idea of him destroying the city I live in.

Eggman: Come on Chaos! Let's find another emerald, shall we?

He threw down a small device that when it hit the ground, a bright light covered the area. I covered my eyes and after a bit, I opened my eyes and saw that the light was gone, along with the man and Chaos.

Tails: Sonia! We can't let him get away with this. Can we?

Sonia: No way, Tails!

Tails: Without more emeralds, the monster can't transform, so... It's up to us to get the emeralds before Eggman does, huh?

Sonia: I guess that's the best plan we got.

Sonia turned to look over at me.

Sonia: You should stay out of this mess. I don't want you getting hurt or involved in a mess that isn't your problem.

(Y/N): You saved me from Chaos, and that Eggman guy wants to destroy the place I live. So I want to help any way I can to repay you.

Sonia smiled and put her hand on my shoulder and gave me a thumbs up with her other hand.

Sonia: If that's what you wanna do, I'm not gonna stop ya.

I smiled back and laughed a bit. Sonia looked over at Tails.

Sonia: So what was the thing you wanted to show me?

Tails eyes lit up in realization when Sonia said that.

Tails: Right! Follow me!

Tails walked up the set of stairs that went up to the workshop. Me and Sonia followed her. She picked up some kind of green gem with a stone platform under it.

Tails: I found this stone recently and I thought it would be important to keep. I theorize that it might be a key of some kind.

Sonia: Then let's find out where it's supposed to go! It might just lead us to a Chaos Emerald!

Tails nodded her head and walked up to me.

Tails: Can you hold this?

(Y/N): Oh, yeah sure.

She handed me the key? thing as Sonia and Tails ran down the stairs to search the surrounding area. I tried my best to follow them the best I could, but I really couldn't. Especially when I'm carrying a huge rock. I looked at the nearby mountain nearby and found an entrance. I walked inside and found a green pedestal of some kind. I put the key gem down and it connected with the pedestal. Suddenly a bunch of strong winds came up from under me, sending me up really high into the air.

(Y/N): Aaaaaaahhhhhh!!!

As I went higher and higher up into the air, I flew up past the clouds and saw a series of floating islands. I landed on one of them. I started to catch my breathe.

(Y/N): That... That was blood pumping.

I looked around. How am I going to get down from here? How am I going to tell Sonia and Tails that I'm here? Right as I had that thought, I heard two people land behind me. I looked back and saw Sonia and Tails behind me.

Sonia: Looks like you figured out where it went.

(Y/N): Yeah... How did you two know where I went?

Tails: We heard your screams.

I felt my cheeks heat up as I looked away from them.

Sonia: Cmon, let's get going!

Sonia and Tails ran past me. I started to run towards them, managing to keep up for a bit. I even managed to run past the two, but I felt my body hit something. I saw a robot gecko appear from nowhere in front of me. It opened its mouth, but Sonia destroyed the bot before it could attack me.

(Y/N): Thanks for the save.

I said as I rubbed the back of my head. Sonia just gave me a thumbs up and continued to run. I saw Sonia and Tails run through some kind of gate and started to run on air?!

(Y/N): Alright, what?!

Is that just a thing they could do? I saw a weird ball of red light come towards me.

???: Run forward through the gate, the wind will carry you.

I heard a feminine voice tell me before the red ball of light disappeared. I took a deep breath and ran forward as fast as I could. I ran through the gate and I started to run on the wind, ending up on another floating island. I landed on a trampoline, sending me up into the air. I saw myself about to hit a wall, causing me to close my eyes to brace for impact. I felt someone grab my arms. I opened my eyes and saw Tails is holding my arms, using her two tails to fly.

Tails: That was a close one.

(Y/N): I had no idea you could do something like that. That's so cool!

Tails's cheeks went pink as she looked to the right.

Tails: Th-Thank you.

I felt a bunch of strong winds start to blow. Me and Tails looked over and saw a tornado, pulling us towards it. The tornado started to pull apart chunks of the surrounding islands. Me and Tails went into the center of the tornado, landing on some chunks of land.

(Y/N): This isn't too good.

Tails: I'm sure we can climb up the chunks to get out of the tornado.

(Y/N): I guess that's the only thing we can do.

Me and Tails started to jump from chunk to chunk, slowly getting higher and higher. After a bit, we made it to the highest chunk and there is a large spring. Tails jumped on it, sending her high up, out of the tornado. I jumped on the spring, going high up and leaving the tornado. I landed on a really high up floating island. I looked ahead and saw Sonia and Tails.

Sonia: There you two are! How about we do a little race? Just for a little fun.

Tails: Sure thing!

(Y/N): I don't see any harm in that.

Me, Tails, and Sonia all got ready and we started to run at the same time. There are large metal bridges connecting island to island. I saw a row of large floating gold rings.

(Y/N): Shiny!

I ran ahead and collected the rings. I smiled to myself, noticing that I'm actually winning the race so far. Me, Sonia, and Tails and ran down a metal bridge that went downward. At the end of the bridge was another one of those gates. The three of us ran through the gate, making us run on the wind again. The wind suddenly stopped, leaving the three of us in the air. We all started to fall towards another floating island. Sonia and Tails landed on their feet, where I landed on my face.

(Y/N): Ow...

I got up and noticed a blue colored gem on the island. It looks like the purple Chaos Emerald, but it's blue. I pointed at it.

(Y/N): I think I found something important.

Tails: It's another Chaos Emerald!

Sonia: Nice catch (Y/N)!

Sonia walked up to it and grabbed the Chaos Emerald. She put it in her back pocket.

Sonia: Looks like we already got a Chaos Emerald.

(Y/N): But it would probably be a good idea to get more, right?

Tails: Yep, that's right! Let's head back to my workshop.

I walked over to the edge of the floating island, looking down and seeing just how high up we are from normal ground.

(Y/N): How are we going to get down?

Tails: Ahem!

I looked back to see Tails flying in the air. Sonia grabbed onto her arms.

Sonia: Cmon! Grab on!

I walked over and grabbed onto Sonia as Tails started to slowly descend down towards the ground. When I agreed to tag along with Sonia and Tails, I didn't think it would end up with me miles above the ground running on wind.
