(Readers POV)

I watched as Sonia stopped Chaos. I let out a sigh of relief, happy that she was able to defeat him. Sonia flew over to the road me, Tails, and Knuckles are on. The Chaos Emeralds, now back with their colors, left Sonia's body and shot out across the sky. Sonia went back to her normal look.

(Y/N): That was really amazing, Sonia! I had no idea you could use the emeralds like that!

Sonia: Eh, it was nothing.

Knuckles: Guys! Look!

Everyone looked over and saw Chaos standing on a broken road. Chaos was back to his normal form, the form of him when I first encountered him. I saw some nearby Chao walking up to him and stood around him. They started to make some noises, almost like they were kinda singing to him in a weird way. Chaos stared at them. I can tell there isn't any kind of hostility coming from him anymore.

Knuckles: Chaos has changed again. This time for the better.

Tails: Yeah! Super Sonia must've neutralized Chaos, so he's nice again.

I saw Tikal appear in front of Chaos.

Tikal: These are the Chao you were protecting.

Chaos stared at Tikal, not moving from his spot at all.

Tikal: They stayed alive for generations and now live peacefully with humans. The fighting's over. Harmony is restored, and life goes on.

Tikal looked over at everyone and put her hands together.

Tikal: Thank you so much!

Tikal extended her hand towards Chaos as the two started to float up into the air. They both started to fade away, until disappearing from sight completely. Everyone stared in silence. Even if Chaos was a huge pain and caused a lot of destruction, I'm still happy that he can move on without rage or hatred in his heart. He just wanted to protect the ones he love, something that everyone wishes to do.

Tails: All's well that ends well, right?

I looked over at Tails, and Knuckles, noticing that Sonia isn't standing next to us anymore.

Tails: Sonia?

Knuckles: She must've ran off. Nothing stops her from having another adventure.

Tails: I guess we can all go home now.

(Y/N): That does sound like a good idea-

I just remembered the state that Station Square is in.

(Y/N): Aaaaaahhhhhhh!! My apartment is destroyed! Where am I going to live now?!

Tails: If you want, you can stay with me for awhile. Until you find your own place.

I looked back at Tails.

(Y/N): You'd do that?

Tails: Of course! You helped us out so it's only fair-

I interrupted her by grabbing her hands and shook them in gratitude.

(Y/N): Thank you so much!

Tails: O-Oh! It's nothing at all.

(Time Skip)

Me and Tails are at her workshop. I helped her get the broken scraps of the Tornado 2 back to the workshop. She was trying to repair the plane.

Tails: Can you hand me a wrench?

She held out her hand while still focusing on the plane. I quickly looked around and found a wrench. I picked it up and handed it to Tails. She looked at it then looked at me.

Tails: I need a smaller wrench.

(Y/N): Oh, my bad.

I looked around and found a smaller wrench. I handed it to Tails as she tried to use it, but she put that wrench down.

Tails: It needs to be a bit bigger.

(Y/N): Just how many sizes does a wrench need?!

I let out a sigh and found another wrench. I grabbed it and handed it to Tails. I waited in silence, hoping that I got the right wrench. Tails looked back at me and smiled.

Tails: Thanks.

(Y/N): Phew!

I wiped my forehead of any sweat. I looked at the broken scraps.

(Y/N): So I assume you're going to get this plane back up and running?

Tails: Actually, I have a different idea with this in mind.

(Y/N): What does that mean?

Tails: I'm going to repair it, but I'm going to add so many additions it might as well be a new machine!

She definitely does sound excited about that. I have no idea how she's going to do that, but if she can make a plane than she can do whatever then.

(That Night)

I checked the time and it was about 10:00 PM. I walked outside of the workshop and started to walk away from it. After getting far enough away, I looked up at the starry night sky and saw the moon shining. I let out a long howl. I waited for a few moments, not hearing any howl in response. I let out a sigh.

(Y/N): Figures...

Sonia: Yo.

I jumped up in surprise from the sudden voice behind me. I looked back and saw that it was Sonia.

(Y/N): Wh-When did you get here?!

Sonia: I was doing a late night run when I heard some howling. Got curious and decided to investigate, and I found you.

(Y/N): You just go out for a run at this time of night?

Sonia: Pretty much. So why are you out here this late?

(Y/N): Oh... Well...

Sonia: It's cool. You don't have to tell me if you don't wanna.

I sat down on the ground and looked up at Sonia.

(Y/N): I'm out here... Because I want to find my family... I don't know much about them. I howl at night, hoping to get some kind of response so I can find them.

Sonia looked at for a few moments before walking up to me and sitting down next to me.

Sonia: I hope you find them soon.

(Y/N): ...Thanks... I have a lot of questions that I hope they can answer when I meet them.

Sonia: Well, make sure to take your time and go at your own pace. Especially with something as important as that.

(Y/N): ...You know, that whole adventure we went on really helped me get my mind off things for a bit.

Sonia: Really? Glad I could help you then.

She playfully punched me on the shoulder, making me smile and laugh a little. Sonia laughed with me.

(Y/N): Thanks for letting me talk about that stuff. It felt good to get that off my chest.

Sonia: Hey if you ever need help with anything, I can help ya.

(Y/N): Geez, aren't you a saint?

Sonia: I'm just a gal that loves adventure, that's all. If I can help my friends along the way, then I'm happy to do so.

Man, we have known each other for such a short period of time and she already considers me a friend... I guess it would only be fair to do the same for her too.

(Y/N): Welp, I'm going to go to bed. It's getting late.

Sonia: Alright, I'll see ya around.

She stood up and ran off, quickly leaving my line of sight. I still can't believe just how fast she is. I got up and went back to Tails's workshop. I made sure to be quiet as I laid down on a nearby couch and closed my eyes.

(Time Skip)

It's been some time since the whole Chaos incident at Station Square. I heard that construction of rebuilding the city has been going great and is expected to finish up sooner than expected. Some people from Station Square showed up to Tails's workshop and gave her the yellow Chaos Emerald as thanks for stopping a missile attack from Eggman, which was a surprise to hear since I had no idea that happened. I saw Tails put the Chaos Emerald into some kind of machine that is connected to a computer.

(Y/N): Hey Tails. Whatcha doing with the emerald?

Tails: Oh, I'm just doing some analysis and testing on it. I might as well since I have one.

(Y/N): That's kinda neat.

Tails started to type away, glancing at the emerald in the machine for a few moments before looking back at the screen.

(Y/N): I'm gonna go and buy somethings. Do you want anything?

Tails: Hmm... If you could bring some mint candies, I'd be one happy fox!

She looked back at me, giving me a smile. I nodded my head at her.

(Y/N): Got it.

I left the workshop and headed over to the train and got on it as it went over to Station Square. As I rode the train, I started to think about the Chaos. He almost killed me that one night, so maybe learning some self defense stuff would be beneficial.

(Y/N): But what could I learn?

As I pondered to myself what I could learn, I saw a person reading a news paper. I saw an article that shows a picture of Sonia. It was reporting about how she beat Chaos while he was in that giant form.

(Y/N): ...That's it...

The way Sonia curls up into a ball and stuff. I could do that! She makes it look easy, so how hard could it be to learn?

(Time Skip) (At Tails's Workshop)

I went into Tails's workshop while holding onto a bag with some of the stuff I bought. I saw her still typing on that computer. I guess she didn't hear me walk in. I found a nearby wrench and tapped it on the wall, making Tails look back and see me.

Tails: You're back (Y/N)! Did you get the mint candies?

I reached into the bag and pulled out a small bag that's filled with mint candies. Tails's eye lit up when she saw it. I smiled and tossed the bag towards her. She caught it and opened the bag and put a piece of candy into her mouth.

(Y/N): So Tails, I was wondering if you could help me out with something?

Tails: Hm? What is it?

(Y/N): You know how Sonia can curl up into a ball and attack things and go fast and stuff? I wanted to know if you know how to do that stuff too.

Tails: Yeah, I can. Do you want me to teach you that stuff?

(Y/N): Exactly! You think you can?

Tails: I guess I can take a small break from my work... And you did get me this bag of candies... Alright! Let's head outside!

I celebrated a bit. Once I can do that cool stuff, I won't have to worry about myself as much. Tails got up and walked outside and I followed her. We walked onto the open flat area right near by her workshop.

Tails: Okay, so it's a bit hard to explain how to do it.

(Y/N): So it's more of a feel thing?

Tails: Yes, but if I can do it, surely you can too!

Tails jumped into the air while curled up into a ball and landed on her feet when she touched the ground.

Tails: Try doing that.

(Y/N): Starting off simple.

I jumped up into the air, putting my arms and legs close to my body and curling up into a ball of my own. I started to spin around. I smiled to myself, I'm actually doing it! I tried to land on my feet when I was about to touch the ground, but I landed on my head instead.

(Y/N): Urk!

Tails: Oh my gosh! Are you okay?!

(Y/N): Ow... I-I'm fine. Just a bit harder than it looks.

I kept jumping while spinning in a ball, constantly landing on either my head, back, or stomach until I managed to land on my feet.

(Y/N): Haha! I got it down Tails!

She started to clap for me.

Tails: Nice! Next is the Spindash! Watch this!

She crouched down and started to spin around in place, not moving from her spot. After charging up for a bit, she dashed forward at great speed. She rolled over to me and stopped right next to me and stood back up.

Tails: There! Just try to mimic what I did!

(Y/N): This one might be a bit more difficult...

I crouched down, curling up and tried to spin in place, but just ended up rolling forward. I let out a sigh as I kept trying to spin in one spot, but just go forward instead.

Tails: This one might take a bit more time.

I kept trying and trying and I eventually managed to roll in place for a brief moment until I went forward, going a bit faster than usual. I uncurled myself and took some deep breaths.

(Y/N): Phew! Progress...!

Tails: That's great to see, (Y/N)! I think we should take a small break from this practice! A bag of mint candies is calling my name!

I watched as Tails happily walked back into her workshop. I let out a small chuckle as I got up and patted myself, getting rid of any dirt on my clothes. For some reason, I couldn't shake this feeling. A feeling that another adventure is going to happen sooner rather than later.
