I was sitting in the choir room between Kurt and Charlie, watching Mr. Shue walk in. "Alright guys, let's get down to business! First, let's welcome back Noah Puckerman. Puck, I hope your time in juvy has taught you a lesson or two about right and wrong?" Our teacher asks.
Puck smirks. "Are you kidding me? I ruled that place. All I did was crack skulls and lift weights all day."
Quinn rolls her eyes. "Oh, what a catch, can't believe I ever let you go." She sarcastically remarks.
Mr. Shue smiles and looks to Finn. "And now, drumroll, Finn! Because I have in my hand our competition for sectionals next month." He says.
Rachel smiles. "Okay."
Mr. Shue reads off from a paper in his hands. "First, the a cappella group from the all-boys private school in Westerville, the Dalton Academy Warblers."
Finn smiles. "Yeah!"
Santana smiles. "Okay, hold up. Like a million awesome gay jokes just popped into my head."
I perk up when I hear about the Warblers. I have a friend that's in the Warblers. He's a good guy, but I have got to find him a boyfriend.
Mr. Shue continues. "And the other team to beat, the Hipsters. A first-year club from the township continuing education programme. Now, they are a glee club composed entirely of elderly people getting their high school GEDs."
"Is that legal?" Rachel asks.
Mercedes looks a little upset. "How are we supposed to compete against a bunch of adorable old people?"
Puck looks at everyone. "Are you kidding? Brittle bones. Give one of those old ladies a good luck pat on the rear, it'll shatter her pelvis."
I roll my eyes but crack a smile. "Welcome back Puckerman."
"Moving on. Since this seems to get you guys jazzed about sectionals last year, I wanna make this week our second annual boys versus girls tournament. So! Split up into two groups, and, uh, figure out which songs you're gonna sing." Mr. Shue says.
I gently grip Kurt's hand, having flashbacks to last year's boys vs. girls competition. I almost died! Kurt kisses my hand, which elicits a smile from me. We walk to the side of the room with the girls.
Rachel is already talking. "Okay, I have mash-up ideas in my emergency mash-up..."
"Kurt, gonna say it again. Boys team." Mr. Shue says.
Kurt rolls his eyes at our teacher and walks to the boy's side.
Man, I really wanted to work with Kurt.

Kurt and I were talking outside in the hallway when Karofsky comes up and pushes Kurt into the lockers. Kurt gets up. "What is your problem?" He asks.
Karofsky looks angry. "You talking back to me? You want a piece of the Fury?" He questions.
Kurt looks confused. "The Fury?"
Karofsky glares. "It's what I named my fist."
Kurt scoffs. "Well, with that level of creativity, you could easily become assistant manager at a rendering plant."
I pale a little. Kurt, I love you, but you need to learn when to stop talking sometimes.
Karofsky glares at my boyfriend. "I don't know what that is, but if I find out it's bad, the Fury's gonna find you." He threatens.
I look at Kurt worriedly before Mr. Shue takes us to his office.
= = =
Mr. Shue hands Kurt a cup of water. "Is there anything that I could do?"
Kurt shakes his head. "No. This is my hill to climb alone."
I frown. "Baby that's not true. You don't have to do this alone. I'm here for you." I say.
He smiles gently and kisses my hand that's still holding his. "You are the best girlfriend in the world."
"Can I be honest? I think it's getting to you. Usually this stuff rolls right off your back, but lately you've been beligerent, angry, pushing people away." Mr. Shue states. I mean, he's not far off. I just don't say anything because I don't want to upset Kurt any further.
Kurt looks at our Spanish teacher. "Can I be honest with you? You, like everyone else at this school, are too quick to let homophobia slide. And your lesson plans are boring and repetitive. Boys versus girls? That doesn't challenge any of us."
"You mean because I didn't let you join the girls like you wanted?" Mr. Shue shoots back.
"To answer your question, yes. I'm unhappy. And yes, being the only out bisexual kid at this school gets me down. But most of all, I'm not challenged in the least here." Kurt says as he stands up to walk out.
I get up as well. We walk out of his office hand-in-hand.
"Don't worry Kurt. We'll get through this together."

That afternoon for glee club, Mr. Shue changes up the rules for the boys vs. girls competition. "I'm not tossing the baby out with the bath water here." He says.
"I've totally done that." Brittany states.
"We're just making an adjustment. Boys, you are now doing songs traditionally sung by girls groups. And girls, try some classic rock. Uh, the Who, the Stones. The more opposite your choice, the more points you get." Mr. Shue finishes.
I look at the girls with a smile. "Girls... I got our song choices covered. I'm a sucker for classic rock."

After voting on the songs I had selected yesterday, we also voted on who should sing lead. "I vote myself." Rachel says.
I roll my eyes. How original. I'm tired of Rachel singing lead all the time.
Quinn rolls her eyes. "I vote for Violet. I mean... she did come up with the song choices and made the arrangement all by herself." She says.
I blush and smile. "Thanks Q." Quinn shoots me a smile.
Rachel splutters. "But..."
Mercedes cuts her off. "No buts. Violet should sing lead. It'll definitely make up for what happened at last year's competition." She says.
I can't believe they still remember that.
Tina stands up. "All in favor of Violet?" She asks. Everyone's hands — except for Rachel's — goes up.
I look at Rachel with a smirk. "Looks like the ayes have it." I state.
Rachel looks triumphant. "Well you need someone else to sing lead with you."
I smile. "Easy. Mercedes is a powerhouse, and could definitely bring the house down." I explain.
Quinn smiles at me. "I think that's a wonderful choice."
Rachel huffs because she didn't get her way. "Fine. Whatever. The least you can do is go spy on the Warblers in Westerville."
I smirk as I leave the choir room. "It's not technically spying if you're friends with the lead Warbler."

I walk down the hallway and see Charlie and Kurt headed towards the parking lot. "Hey boys. Where are you two headed?" I ask.
Both of them whip around and then smile at me.
"We've been asked to go spy on the Warblers." Kurt and Charlie say at the same time.
I smile. "What a coincidence. I was asked to go spy on them too. We can all ride together." I claim.
The boys laugh as we walk to the parking lot. We all gather in Kurt's car and head to Dalton Academy.

Walking down the hallway of Dalton, Kurt is dressed in a way that resembles the Dalton Uniform. I let my mind drift to thinking about Kurt in a Dalton blazer but I was brought out of my daze seeing the person I was looking for on the steps. Luckily, Kurt starts talking to him.
"Oh, excuse me. Um, hi. Can I ask you a question? We're new here." Kurt says, motioning to himself and Charlie.
"My name's Blaine." Blaine introduces.
I pop out from behind Charlie. "Blainey days!" I say and hug him.
Blaine looks surprised. "Violet? Oh my God!" He says and hugs me back.
"Violet do you know everyone?" Kurt asks while laughing.
I stick my tongue out at Kurt. "Maybe."
Blaine chuckles. "So who are you two, if you don't mind me asking?"
Kurt smiles friendly. "Kurt. This is Charlie. So what exactly is going on?" He asks.
Blaine smiles. "The Warblers! Every now and then they throw an inpromptu performance in the senior commons. Tends to shut the school up for a while."
Charlie looks surprised. "So, wait, the glee club here is kind of cool?"
Blaine chuckles. "The Warblers are like rock stars. Come on, I know a shortcut." He says. He grabs Charlie's hand and runs down the hallway with him.
Kurt and I grab hands and chase after Blaine and Charlie.
= = =
We make it to the Dalton Academy choir room. All I can say is that it's much bigger than our choir room.
Kurt looks antsy. "Ooh, Charlie and I stick out like sore thumbs." He says.
Blaine chuckles. "Well, next time, don't forget your jacket, new kid. You'll fit right in. Now, if you'll excuse me."
Blaine and The Warblers sing "Teenage Dream." It's a wonderful rendition of the Katy Perry classic.
[Teenage Dream by the Warblers]
Through the entire performance, I dance with Kurt to the music. I look to see Blaine is singing to Charlie, and Charlie's got a big smile on his face.
My conclusion?
Charlie's falling in love with Blaine Devon Anderson.

We're all sitting in Dalton's cafe, having coffee with Blaine and two other Warblers.
Blaine offers Kurt a latte. "Latte?"
Kurt takes it gratefully. "Thank you."
Blaine smiles as he sits in between his Warbler friends. "This is Wes and David."
Kurt smiles shakily. "It's very civilized of you to invite us for coffee before you beat us up for spying."
David chuckles. "We are not going to beat you up."
Wes nods. "You Three were such terrible spies, we thought it was sort of endearing."
Blaine's smile falters. "Which made me think that spying on us wasn't really the reason you came."
Kurt looks serious. "Can I ask you guys a question? Are you guys all gay?"
I face-palm. Did he just seriously ask that?
Blaine laughs gently. "Uh, uh, no. I mean, I am, but no, these two have girlfriends."
Wes nods. "This is not a gay school. We just have a zero tolerance harrassment policy."
"Everybody gets treated the same. No matter what they are. It's pretty simple." David adds.
Blaine looks at Wes and David. "Would you guys excuse us?"
David nods. "Take it easy, Kurt, Violet and Charlie."
Once they leave, Blaine looks at the three of us... Kurt more specifically. "I take it you're having trouble at school."
Man, Blaine can figure up your problem in seconds.
Kurt sighs. "I'm the only person out of the closet at my school. And I tried to stay strong about it, but there's this Neanderthal who's made it his mission to make my life a living hell. And nobody seems to notice except for Violet."
I look up. "It's Karofsky. He's a football player that's been pushing Kurt into the lockers."
Charlie looks shocked. "Why didn't you say something?" He asks.
Blaine interrupts. "I know how you feel. I got taunted at my old school, and it really pissed me off. I even complained about it to the faculty. And they were sympathetic and all, but you could just tell that nobody really cared. It was like, hey, if you're gay, your life's just gonna be miserable. Sorry. Nothing we can do about it. So I left. I came here. Simple as that. So you have two options. I mean, I'd love to tell you to just come enroll here, but tuition at Dalton's sort of steep, and I know that's not an option for everybody. Or you can refuse to be the victim. Prejudice is just ignorance, Kurt. And you have a chance right now to teach him."
Kurt looks down "How?"
"Confront him. Call him out. I ran, Kurt. I didn't stand up. I let bullies chase me away. And it is something that I really, really regret." Blaine says.
I grab Kurt's hand. "He's right baby. If you don't confront Karofsky about this, he's going to continue to harass you. Please do something about this. I don't want to see you get hurt."
Kurt kisses my cheek.
"You are the definition of perseverance, my love."

While Violet's out spying on the Warblers, we're all putting sequins on our jackets. I had texted Violet, but she said she already had her costume ready.
"The boys beat us the last time we competed against them, we've gotta bring the noise hard this time." Mercedes says.
"To be fair, they didn't officially beat us. We got busted for Vitamin D possession before the vote. And Violet almost died." I remind her. The room gets quiet for one solid minute.
Santana speaks up. "Wait. Something's definitely wrong. Why isn't Rachel talking?"
Brittany nods. "Yeah, she should totally be bossing us around right now."
Rachel can't keep it in any longer. "The idea of the assignment was to do the opposite of what we normally do. I'm just trying to stick to the lesson plan, which is proving nearly impossible since you're gluing the sequins on backwards." She tells Brittany.
Artie wheels into the choir room with Puck behind him. "Spies!" Rachel shouts.
Puck glares at the Hobbit. "Lighten up! We're here to talk to Santana and Brittany."
Santana smirks. "Hmm. So. How does it feel to be a free man?"
"All I can say is I don't want a long-term relationship with either of you. Especially Brittany since I'm not in love with her." Artie says.
Brittany smiles. "Do you guys wanna go out to dinner tonight?"
"Not really." Puck answers.
Santana's smile falls. "Oh."
"Tell you what. You two show up at Breadstix tomorrow night around seven, and if we don't find hotter chicks to date tonight, we might show up." Puck says.
"You are totally cool." Santana says.
Brittany smiles. "Awesome."
I just keep putting sequins on my jacket. Whatever's going on with those four is not my business.

The girls of New Directions sing a mash-up of 'Start Me Up/Livin' On A Prayer,' with Violet and Mercedes taking lead.

Will smiles and claps his hands. "Ladies, very, very impressive! What made you guys choose those songs?"
Violet starts to answer. "Well - "
Becky interrupts as she walks into the choir room and hands Will a piece of paper. "Coach said to give you this."
After Will leaves, Kurt brings Violet into his arms. "I'm so proud of you." He says, kissing her cheek.
Violet smiles. "Thank you. I'm proud of you too."
Kurt looks like a cute confused puppy. "But I haven't done anything."
Violet kisses him gently.
"You're just being yourself. That's the best thing you can ever be."

I was looking at my phone, seeing a text message Violet had sent me a few minutes ago. She was busy with Cheerios practice right now. The text just said 'Courage.'
I was brought out of my daze when Karofsky slapped my phone out of my hands and pushed me into the lockers. I got up and ran after him. "Hey!" I called.
I had to follow him all the way to the locker room. "I am talking to you!" I say angrily.
"Girls locker room's next door." Karofsky says.
"What is your problem?" I say exasperated.
Karofsky looks at me. "Excuse me?"
"What are you so scared of?" I ask.
"'Sides you sneaking in here to peek at my junk?" He snarks.
I roll my eyes. "Oh yeah, every straight guy's nightmare, that all us gays and bisexuals are secretly out to molest and convert you. Well guess what, ham hock? You're not my type. And I happen to have a girlfriend who loves me."
Karofsky glares at me. "That right?"
I nod. "Yeah. I don't like chubby boys who sweat too much and are gonna be bald by the time they're thirty." I snap.
Karofsky slams the locker next to his. "Do not push me, Hummel."
"You gonna hit me? Do it." I encourage.
"Don't push me!" Karofsky screams.
"Hit me, 'cause it's not gonna change who I am. You can't punch the bisexual out of me anymore than I can push the ignormaus out of you." I say.
Karofsky is getting angrier. "Get out of my face!"
"You are nothing but a scared little boy who can't handle how extraordinarily ordinary you are!" I rant.
Suddenly, he grabs my face... and he kisses me.
Oh. My. God.
He pulls himself off of me, and I'm just in shock and fright. He goes in for another kiss, but I push him away. He kicks at his locker and leaves.
I'm horrified. My first boy kiss was Dave Karofsky.
What am I going to tell Violet?
= = =
I'm tense when Violet and I get home. She wants to cuddle, but I brush her off. She goes in for a kiss, but I walk away. I hate doing this, but I don't feel worthy of her love right now. I feel like a dirty cheater.
Violet storms up to me with a hurt face. "What did I do?" She asks.
I look up shocked. "What?" I ask.
I see tears falling down her cheeks. "What did I do to make you so distant? Are you breaking up with me?" She asks.
I gently pull her into my arms. "No. God no, I'm not breaking up with you. Never in a million years." I coax.
She calms down. "But you're avoiding me. You won't let me kiss you or cuddle you. I thought I did something." She explains.
I give her a gentle kiss on the lips. "Baby it's not you. I just... I feel like a cheater." I say sadly.
Violet cups my face. "Baby what's going on?" She inquires. Guess I should come clean.
"It's Karofsky. I went to give him a piece of my mind... and then he kissed me. God I'm so sorry Violet. I don't deserve you at all. I'm a cheater. You should break up with me." I blubber between my sobs.
Her arms wrap around me in a hug. "Baby you listen to me. I'm not breaking up with you okay? You're not a cheater. You got kissed. By Karofsky. I'm not mad at you. If anything I want to kill the bastard for making you feel like this and for kissing you. I love you, Kurt Hummel. I love you more than anything on this planet. I will always stand at your side when you need me. I will never give up on you, just like I know you'll never give up on me." Violet says.
I look at her with teary eyes and give her a kiss. She kisses back, and I can make out a smile on her face. "You really are the best thing that's ever happened to me." I say.
Violet blushes as I pull her to my chest.
"And you're the best thing that's ever happened to me."

The following day, Will looks at the New Directions in disappointment. "Well. I genuinely hope you guys are happy. Because Coach Bieste has quit." He announces.
Finn looks shocked. "Wait, what? That's terrible."
"Yeah, it's not what we want." Sam notes.
Artie nods. "That's the opposite of what we want, the football team is actually winning."
Will sighs. "Well then you'd better put your heads together and find a way to get her back, fast. Because I am actually ashamed of you. You really hurt someone who was a great addition to this school."
Rachel raises her hand. "I'm sorry. What exactly did we do?"
Finn shakes his head. "No, it's us. The boys."
"And Tina." Mike adds.
"We sort of... figured out that picturing Bieste while making out was even better than a cold shower. I mean I don't, ever." Finn says.
Quinn looks embarrassed. "Oh, wow. I'm sorry." She says to Sam.
"Can I just say that is what happens when people don't put out. If everyone just put out, we would have a winning football team." Santana says.
Figgins walks in. "William! I need to see you and Noah Puckerman in my office please."
Violet grabs Kurt's hand, who gently squeezes it.

That afternoon, Kurt and Violet are walking with Blaine at McKinley. "Don't worry about it, just let me do the talking." Blaine says.
Kurt sees Karofsky turn the corner. "There he is."
Violet nods in affirmation.
Blaine smiles and pats Kurt's shoulder. "I got your back. Excuse me." He says to Karofsky.
Karofsky smirks. "Hey, ladyboys, Violet. This your boyfriend, Kurt?"
Violet growls. "He's not dating Blaine you bastard."
"Kurt, Violet and I would like to talk to you about something." Blaine says.
Karofsky shakes his head. "I gotta go to class."
"Kurt and Violet told me what you did." Blaine announces.
Karofsky looks confused. "Oh, yeah? What's that?"
"You kissed me." Kurt states bluntly.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Karofsky denies.
"You're lucky these two are here because if they weren't, I'd be going to jail for your murder." Violet says venomously.
"It seems like you might be a little confused. And that's totally normal. This is a very hard thing to come to terms with, and you should just know that you're not alone." Blaine says.
Karofsky pushes Blaine against the wall. "Do not mess with me!"
Kurt gets in between Blaine and Karofsky. "You have to stop this!"
Karofsky leaves, but not after Violet flips him off.
Blaine shakes it off. "Well, he's not coming out any time soon. What's going on? Why are you so upset?" He asks Kurt as Violet sits on the steps next to them.
Kurt sighs gently. "Because until yesterday, I had never been kissed by a boy before."
Blaine smiles brotherly to the couple. "Come on. I'll buy you guys lunch."

For glee club that afternoon, the boys are dressed in dark blue suits and about to perform for Beiste.
Charlie smiles as he fixes his suit collar. Violet had said blue went good with his eyes. She wasn't wrong.
"I don't get it, it's boys against the girls, but what's the winner get?" Beiste asks.
Finn smiles. "Well, we were hoping for your forgiveness."
Sam nods. "Yeah. We just want to apologise for hurting your feelings."
"Coach Bieste, we think you're awesome. And even though you're all hard and tough on the outside, it doesn't mean you're not the opposite on the inside." Finn says.
"Like a chocolate turtle." Sam comments.
Finn smiles. "Totally. You're nougatty. We totally get that now. You're like a mash-up."
Will cuts in. "Why don't you guys just get to the song."
Artie nods. "Totally. This mash-up is dedicated to you, Coach. Hard and badass on one hand, and soft and girly on the other hand."
Puck adds on. "We hope it makes you smile, 'cause when you smile you're pretty and it lights up the room. Seriously."
The boys of New Directions perform "Free Your Mind / Stop In The Name Of Love."
[Stop! In The Name Of Love/Free Your Mind by New Directions boys]
Beiste smiles after the performance. "That was really good. I liked it. Thank you."
Artie smiles. "Come over here! Come on!" He says.
All the boys hug Coach Beiste. Except for Kurt, who's pressing kisses to Violet's face.
For now, all was well.
