There's a Booty Camp rehearsal on the auditorium stage.

Mercedes arrives late.

"You're late." Will comments.

Mercedes nods. "I know. I overslept."

Quinn looks confused. "It's 4:30 in the afternoon."

Mercedes nods. "My alarm clock went off 30 minutes late this morning. Kind of shifted my whole schedule. Anyway, what's Santana doing here?"

Santana smiles. "I've re-sworn my allegiance to the Glee Club, without telling Coach Sue."

Mike looks at Mercedes. "Mercedes, I'll catch you up. Five, six, seven. Five, six..." He and Mercedes begin to dance. Suddenly Mercedes runs over to the trash can.

Will looks concerned. "Mercedes, you okay?"

Mercedes shakes her head. "My stomach hurts. I think I'm gonna be sick."

Santana looks disgusted. "Why are you babying her? I mean, she can't do three steps without puking 'cause she ate at Quizno's before she showed up in this joint."

Mercedes groans. "Mr. Shue, you have us scheduled to the second right now. With school, Glee Club and Booty Camp, when else am I supposed to eat?"

"When the rest of us do." Santana remarks.

Mercedes rolls her eyes. "Oh, like you eat!"

Will sighs. "It's not about eating. It's about attitude. Sectionals are coming up, and if we don't give it our all..."

"I am doing my best." Mercedes says.

Will shakes his head. "No, you're not. It's not about doing your best anymore. It's about doing better."

Violet looks at Finn, who's still struggling with the choreography. "Here, Finn. I'll help you out."

Kurt smiles at Rachel and Violet while he's at his locker. "With only two days left for people to announce their candidacy, that leaves me and Brittany running in this race. Which is more like me running, and you know, Brittany just whimsically hopping and skipping nearby. No one takes her seriously."

Rachel smiles. "That's so amazing, Kurt. I mean, you can practically add the moniker of "President" to your curriculum vitae now. NYADA is gonna eat that up."

Violet frowns, hearing them talk bad about Brittany like that. It makes her reconsider voting for Kurt and consider voting for Brittany.

They pause and lean against the lockers.

Kurt looks at Violet. "According to the new Jacob Ben Israel straw poll - " He attempts to hand a campaign pin to a student, who refuses it. "Here, take one take one, take... Okay. Um, according to the soft numbers, I'm ahead by Brit by 11%."

Rachel looks surprised. "Really?"

Kurt nods. "This could be a cakewalk."

Rachel squeals and Brittana arrives.

Santana smirks. "Nice blouse, Hummel. Really brings out the color of your pink eye."

Brittany looks at Rachel. "So, I assume I can rely on your vote, Rachel."

Rachel smiles sadly. "I'm sorry, Brittany, but I've already pledged my fidelity to Kurt."

Brittany looks to Violet. "Can I count on your vote, Violet?" She asks.

"Hell yeah. Girl power's where it's at!" Violet says. She doesn't miss the hurt look on Kurt's face.

"I thought you'd vote for me." He says.

Violet takes his hand. "I would, but you know I'm all for girl power. No hard feelings?" She asks.

Kurt smiles gently. "No hard feelings."

Brittany interrupts by talking to Rachel. "Oh, so you're cool with flushing McKinley High's future down the magical poop-stealing water chair?"

"Did you know that in six years at this school, we've only exclusively had male student council presidents? And yeah, Kurt looks like Jimmy Fallon's butch daughter, but a vote for him would only empower yet another frank and beans." Santana says. Violet glares at Santana, silently asking her to tone down her insults.

Brittany nods. "Yes. Where has that patriarchy gotten us? Double-digit inflation, economic freefall, oil spills, war in Afghanistan."

Santana smirks. "I tweeted about Britt's flash mob pep rally in the gym, 248 and we're all showing up to support her with girl power."

Brittany nods. "Yes, boys have made one helluva mess in this school, and there's only one way to clean it up." She says.

Violet and Brittany perform "Run the World," ending with a pep rally at the gym.

Sue attempts to settle down the crowd. Kurt is shown looking stunned. A girl hands Brittany a microphone.

Brittany talks into the microphone, looking to the crowd. "Hi. I'm Brittany S. Pierce, and I'm your next senior class president."

She gets heavy cheering.

In the courtyard, where Charlie approaches Blaine, who is standing on the stairs.

"The cast list goes up on Friday. Are you nervous?" Charlie asks.

Blaine smiles uneasily. "A little. I'm trying not to think about it."

Charlie smiles. "I wouldn't be. My mole in the casting office says that there's only one actor they're seriously considering for the role of Tony, and his initials are B.A." he says and hands Blaine a bouquet of flowers.

Blaine smiles. "Charlie, they're beautiful. But what are they for?"

"You killed your audition, Blaine. If anyone else got Tony, including me, the Wrath of Sondheim would fall upon William McKinley like a plague of Shubert Alley locusts. These are to celebrate... you." Charlie says.

Blaine smiles more. "You always zig when I think you're about to zag, and I... I just... I love that about you. Thank you."

Charlie blushes with a smile as they walk together.

"Hey, what did your mole say about who's going to play Maria and Anita?" Blaine asks.

"Well... they're back and forth between Rachel and Mercedes for Maria. But they've already agreed that Violet's the Anita they've been looking for."

Will smiles. "Okay, so, before we dive into today's Booty Camp, I just want to say how impressed Mike, Violet and I have been with everyone's progress. Uh... Brittany, why are you here?" He asks.

Brittany smiles. "'Cause I intend on, you know, dancing my way into the voters' hearts."

Will nods. "Okay. All right... everyone up! Now, your homework assignment was "The Widow Maker," perhaps the hardest show choir dance move ever. Now, when you get it right, one of us is gonna tap you out, then you can have a seat. Uh, five, six, seven, eight!" He says.

Piano music begins. They dance. Will, Violet and Mike tap everyone as they get the move right until only Mercedes and Finn remain.

"Come on, Finn, you can do it!" Violet encourages.

Finn gets it and Violet taps him, giving him a hug despite him being sweaty.

Mike helps Mercedes. "Down... open... Come on, Mercedes, down... open... up..."

Mercedes groans. "My ankle hurts."

Will sighs. "Push through it."

"I don't feel good." Mercedes claims.

"You're fine." Will insists.

Mercedes shakes her head. "No, I'm not!"

Will sighs. "Look, Mercedes, I want you to be the best you can be, okay? Did you even practice this?"

Mercedes looks hurt. "Stop picking on me! You're always singling me out, making me look bad!"

Will shakes his head. "That's crazy."

"No, you're crazy. For not letting me shine! Where's Rachel, huh? I don't see her here, being a part of the 'team.'" Mercedes says.

"Rachel practices every night." Finn answers.

Mercedes glares. "No one asked you, Finn. Everyone knows that Rachel is your favorite."

Will shakes his head. "That's not true."

Mercedes nods. "No, it's true – you give that skinny, Garanimal-wearing ass-kisser everything! And, you know, for two years, you know, I took it. But not anymore! I'm done!" She says and begins to leave, intentionally knocking things over in the process. She turns back. "You know, I've outgrown you. I've outgrown all of you."

Will yells. "Mercedes! You walk out that door, you're out of Glee Club."

Mercedes takes a few minutes before walking out. "It's over."

Violet cannot believe Mercedes just quit glee club.

Where's Sam when you need him?

Mike and Violet are practicing choreography in the dance studio when Mike's mom walks in.

Mike stops dancing. "Mom?"

Mrs. Chang walks in. "What are you doing, Michael?"

Mike stutters. "I'm... just warming up for football."

Mrs. Chang shakes her head. "How can you look at me like that and lie to me? I got a call from your chemistry tutor when you didn't show up. I covered for you with your father. So now I'm a liar, too. The least you could do is tell me the truth." She says.

Violet encourages Mike to tell his mom the truth. "Honesty is the best policy."

Mike sighs. "I auditioned for the school musical. I don't want to be a surgeon or a lawyer, Mom. I want to be an artist. Special. And the only time I really feel special is when I do..." He stops to dance. "that. Mom, please don't cry."

Mrs. Chang smiles. "Michael, my job is to encourage you to live your dreams, not mine, not your dad's. I was raised a certain way, and my parents had expectations of me and I simply was not as courageous as my son. I let go of my dreams but I never want you to do that. Do you hear me? So... do you know if we earned that part in the school musical yet?"

Mike shakes his head "no."

"We find out on Friday, Mrs. Chang. But I believe in Mike getting a part." Violet says, patting Mike on the back.

Mrs. Chang smiles. "Well, when you do, we're going to tell your father about it. Together."

Mike smiles. "So what dream did you let go of?"

"Like you, I loved dancing. But your waigong never let me take lessons." Mrs. Chang says.

Mike smiles. "Some people think I'm a pretty good teacher. Okay..." he holds out a hand to his mom and they start dancing together.

Violet's happy that Mike has one parent that's supportive of his dream. It makes her tear up.

In times like these, she wishes she has parents to be supportive of her.

Kurt looks dejected and hurt when he, Finn and Violet get home from Booty Camp and glee club.

"I think you should talk to Kurt. He looks down." Finn says.

Violet nods. "I will. Don't worry." She says. Finn disappears into his room upstairs.

Violet sits down next to Kurt. "Wanna tell me what's got you so down in the dumps baby?" She asks.

Kurt sighs. "Did you know Rachel's running against me for president?"

Violet shakes her head. "No I didn't know that." She says.

"I just feel like I'm losing everything I've been working so hard for. The musical, senior class president... I feel like a failure." Kurt admits.

Violet cups his face in her hands, wiping away the tears that fall from his glasz eyes. "Kurt you're not a failure. You and I know that. Look... we're both going to be in West Side Story. I will be proud of whatever role you're given. Because you're you, and I love you so much. When you talk about yourself being a failure, it breaks my heart. Baby... you are Kurt Elizabeth Hummel. You are one of the most successful people I know. You will go on to do amazing things. And you know I'll always be there for you. Because that's what we do."

Kurt's crying out of happiness. He nods and kisses her hand. "I don't deserve you."

Violet smiles and kisses nose.

"It's me that doesn't deserve you."
