(One week later)

Y/N's P.O.V

I've had my spider power's for a week now. But the only problem is that I have no idea what I should do with them. The only idea I've had is ultimate fighting, but that idea has been scrapped as with my enhanced strength I could potentially kill someone.

As I'm thinking I walk around the corner I see a building on fire. I also hear one of the firefighters say that a kid is trapped inside.

I knew I had to go in there and help, but I hesitated as even though I had super power's now I knew I wasn't invisible. I breathe in heavily before running into the burning building.

When I get into the building I hear a girl screaming on the floor above. So I run up the stairs trying not to breathe in too much smoke.

I get to the door at the end of the hallway amd hear the girl screaming again.

Y/N: Hold on! I'll get you outta of there!

I then use ram the door and due to my enhanced strength and the weakness of the door it went down easily.

I see a little girl who must of been about five or six years old curled up on the floor. I go over to her and pick her up.

Y/N: Come on sweetheart, let's get you outta here.

I left the room with the girl in my arms and try to make my way back to the stairs to get out of the building.

As I'm going down the hallway the floor gives way and creates a big gap.

Y/N: (Whispers) Oh shit.

I then move back a bit and run up and use my powers to jump the gap.

I make my way down the stairs and go out of the front.

Once I get out I see the girls mother come over to me.

She thanks me for saving her daughter. One of the firefighters come over and gets me over to to a medic.

As I'm breathing in and out I hear two of the firefighters talking.

Firefighter: It turns out there was someone trapped on the bottom floor. They didn't make it out.

When I hear this it hits me like a ton of bricks, maybe I could have saved that other person if I hadn't hesitated before.

(Three hours later)

After that happened I went home and explained what happened to dad and Maya. I also tell them about the person who didn't make it out.

Maya: Wow, I can't believe you did that. That was really brave Y/N.

Oliver: Yeah, you should be very proud of yourself son. You're a hero.

Y/N: Yeah, but if I hadn't hesitated maybe I could saved the other person too.

Oliver: That wasn't your fault, you couldn't have known.

Y/N: Yeah, I guess.

Maya: Yeah well, it's over now.

Maya then walks over and kisses me on my forehead.

Maya: Now, you get some rest. Okay hero?

I nod.

Dad and Maya walk out of my room.

I lay back on my bed and all I could think about was what happened.

In that moment I realise that with this power I need to be more and do more, I need to be a symbol of hope for this city.

And use my powers to help the people of this city.

I then get up out of bed and go over to my desk, I open up my notepad and started drawing suit designs as I don't want people to know my identity as that could potentially put my loved one's in danger.

After a few hours of drawing and scrapping ideas I settle on a temporary suit until I can get better materials to make a better suit.

I hold up the notepad and look at the temporary design.

Y/N: Well, this will do. For now anyway.

(The next day)

After creating my suit design last night the following day I head down to the basement to create web shooters to help me get around.

I get all the equipment together amd started building my web shooter's. After many failed attempts, I finally get the web shooter's to work and shot a web out of the nozzle.

Y/N: Yes! Fucking yes!

(Later that day)

After building my web shooter's I then head out to test them to make sure they can hold my weight amd don't snap as soon as I shoot the web.

I stand at the top of a tall building.

Y/N: Okay, here we go.

I jump of the building.

Y/N: Whooooo!!

I shoot out a web and it attaches to the side of the building I swing on it, then out of pure instinct I shoot another web and it attaches to another building.

I carry doing this and I get the hang of web swinging.

After that I swing into an alleyway to avoid people seeing my face.

Y/N: Woah, I can't believe I just did that!! This is something else.

Excited by this I head home to finish crafting my suit, so I can head out and deal with criminals that are loose on the street's.
