Kate's (POV)

It's early when I wake up to a mysterious noise..

I turn over and look at the time on my phone.

It reads: 5:45am..

Who in their right mind is awake at 5:45am? I think to myself.

Ignoring the noise outside I turn over and fall back to sleep until I hear the same mysterious noise again..

Checking the time once more I see it is now 6.

Seeing as there's No point I just decide to get up..

I get dressed in a comfortable baseball jersey, a black skirt, and tennis shoes.

I head down to the softball field because I'm sure that's where the noise was coming from earlier..

As soon as I get there I can't believe what I see..

I stand at the fence and watch as the player that's on the pitcher's mound throws the ball to the person that's standing at Home Plate.

I watch as the batter pulls the bat back and with a loud smack hits the ball clear out of baseball field..

I stand there with a big smile on my face. Then I can't help but yelling "Home Run!"

Completely startling the guys..

Then I see whose practicing..

Alec but I don't recognize the other person he's with..

Alec looks at me a little shocked.

"Kate what are you doing here?" He asks.

I give him a cocked eyebrow look.

"I could ask you the same thing SillyMan?" Using the nickname my kids from my work have given him.

"I uh. Well I'm just getting in some early practice with a little help from my brother." He points over to person at the pitcher's mound.

I nod my head then respond "well would you both like to accompany me for breakfast?"

"Sure." They respond.

At breakfast with Athletes:

We arrive at breakfast as soon as we walk in the cafeteria I feel a pair of eyes on me.

I look and see Hunter. I feel my heartbeat quicken.

Hunter walks over to us. "Well fancy seeing you here. I guess since you're an Athlete we could be together as a couple." He says to me completely ignoring Alec and his brother standing close by.

"I already have a boyfriend. And it's not You Hunter." I tell him.

I watch as rage flashes over his face he grabs my wrist that he already injured..

And in a low voice he says "If I can't have you then I'll just make sure you can't compete in Summer Games with your precious Athletes."

I wince as Hunter's grip on my wrist gets tighter.. and just before he can do anymore damage a voice stops him.

"LET HER GO!" I look and see Alec standing there but he doesn't have anything in his hands.

Hunter laughs.. "Oh look it's Kate's Athlete Hero here to save her. But wait he doesn't have his bat this time."

I can tell Alec is planning something but I'm not sure what..

I look at Alec and notice he's looking behind him and in an instant Hunter drops to the floor and releases me..

I quickly rush over to Alec completely unaware of what just happened.

Alec looks down at Hunter and responds "This is the last time I'm going to warn you to stay away from Kate."

He places a hand around my waist and we walk over to our table for breakfast..

I watch as another Athlete joins us he looks a year younger than Alec and he looks like him a little..

Alec gets up from sitting next to me and hugs the guy then he says "Thanks for the help back there Jacob."

Jacob nods at Alec then responds.

"Anytime Bro. You did mention that guy was giving your Girl some trouble."

I sit there shocked.. "wait Alec's brother Jacob is at summer games?"

We all finish our breakfast then it's time for practice.

But just before we go to practice I pull Alec aside and ask him.. "What did Jacob do to Hunter so he would let me go?"

Alec looks at me and laughs "Jacob just did pressure points on him."

"Oh." Is all I say.

"Well I'd better get to practice. I'll see you later." Alec says.

But just before he leaves I run up and kiss him on the lips.

"Good luck with practice. I'll be cheering for you." I say.

He smiles without another word and heads toward the field.
