Chapter 11

Where are you, Peggy?

------------------------------------------

Pegasus's Pov

Cap comes to make sure I'm okay, then runs off to join the other in fighting the workers for their freedom. In the heat of the battle, the ex-avenger don't notice that Ross was walking away from the group and coming towards me.

"Let's have a little fun, shall we?" Ross asks with a sinister grin on his face. I deeply regret offering to come here. I can feel the effects wearing off, so while I can't move, I can sort of use my powers. Everything except teleporting myself, which is fantastic. And yes, teleporting me and teleporting others are two completely different things.

I can't wait to see you and your 'master plan' behind bars.

"Now you'll really get it!" he growls at me.

"EVERYONE STOP OR SHE GETS IT!" Ross yells, holding a gun to my head and getting everyone's attention. Everyone obeys.

"Get against the wall, Rouges," the general hissed with venom. They obeyed once again. I had to do something! After all, I got them into this mess, it's time for me to get them out.

Wanda, I tell her in my head, I can get you guys out of here. I promise I won't tell anyone where I sent you, but you have to act like you teleported everyone out.

Why should I trust you?  Her Sokovian accent questions in my head.

You shouldn't. But you have to. When I get no answer, I continue.

On the count of three flick your hands. One, two, three! Wanda flicks her hands through the air like I asked her to and I send them away to a small town near Wakanda, where there are no major organizations, so they should be safe. I probably should have warned, though.

Thanks. I hear from multiple voices.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" Ross roars. The paralyzation has started to wear off, but all I can do is twitch my fingers. I just look at him and try, keyword try, to smirk. It looks really weird and Ross probably has a blackmail picture now.

What makes you think it was me?

"1) Stop doing that and 2) I know that the witch can't teleport."

Shoot.

"And," he continues," since the effects of the drug I gave you are obviously wearing off, I think it's time for another dose." This will end very badly.

Hang in there, Peggy. I'm coming. Tony's voice rings where only I can hear it.

How long? I ask as Ross pulls out another syringe full of clear liquid.

About an hour, why?

I don't have an hour. I explain as Ross plunges the needle in my neck.

----------This seems like a good place for a line break---------------

When I wake up, I can move and use my powers, but there's a shock collar on my neck so it's probably in my best interest to not do the latter. I think he used the wrong one by mistake. I stand up and look around, only to find that I'm trapped in a glass cell.

"Test 1 is over. Commencing test 2," I hear a robotic voice say. I look around for a certain general, only to find him talking in the back with a scientist.

"-anced metabolism. That drug would keep you and me out for 5 hours, and it kept her out for 50 minutes."

I feel the temperature start to rise in the cell. I guess that this is test 2. I don't like being hot, so I tried to make a bubble around my body to keep the cool in, but that resulted in me getting shocked. I glare at Ross and he gives me a sick smile.

I'm starting to figure out why I don't like the heat. After about five minutes, my body starts violently shaking. And I don't mean the shivers people get when they're cold. I mean shaking so bad I can't stand up.

I hear a loud crash, and I look over to see Ironman coming to save me. He fires his repulsors at everyone in the room, knocking them out. After that's done, he breaks the glass and picks me up.

"You weren't lying," he states.

"Why would I lie about this?" I ask, glad that the effects of that cell have worn off by now.

"You are going to get checked out by Dr. Cho, then you can join back up with Peter. And I called Nick Fury to take care of Ross and his jerks."

"Okay." I agree, glad that's over.

Peter's Pov

At school the next day, I look over at Peggy's locker. I smile remembering that she decided she needed to go to school because she found out what Flash did every day. Needless to say, between her and MJ, he doesn't even look at me anymore. And how she got the locker next to mine is still a mystery that I don't think I want to solve.

"Where's Peggy today?" I hear a voice behind me ask.

"Sick, Ned," I lie easily.

"Oh. Well, do you want to help me build a Lego Death Star after school today? (I know that's not what he says, but I'm too lazy to look it up so don't kill me)"

"I can't," I tell him." I have to do my internship." When I see how upset this makes him, I quickly add," But maybe you can come by at like, 5, and we can work on it together." He instantly perks up.

The rest of the school day is boring, but as soon as the bell rings, I'm out of my seat and in an alley getting changed. I'm standing on the edge of a building looking for any crime when I hear a familiar voice.

"Hey, Spider-boy." I turn around.

"Peggy! Where were you?! I thought you were dead! And-"

"I can't answer your questions if you don't give me room to talk." She looks at me like she asking my permission. I then glare at her, so she laughs.

"I was bringing the rouge avengers to Ross, we were on the wrong side of the war by the way, but that's a story for another time, and long story short, that did NOT go very well. And you should know by now that I can't die until you're dead."

"I'm just glad you're okay."

"I'm just glad you survived the day without me," she says back, earning her another glare through the mask, which is barely visible, but it makes her laugh anyway.

--------------Another place that looks good for a line break (I looked this up)--------------

Patrol was very uneventful today. The most exciting thing we did was help an old lady across the street and she bought us a churro. It's getting late, so as soon as I give Happy my report, we leave to head to my apartment (Peggy often sleeps there because she doesn't have a house. Aunt May is fine with this because it was explained to her how she helped Peter with Flash. But she sleeps in the guest bedroom because she needs a bed and she most definitely is not sleeping in Peter's bed with him. ), but we don't make it very far because I spot a bank robbery. Okay, technically, it was an ATM robbery, but who cares.

I walk in and open the door silent as the grave, let Peggy in like a gentleman would, then close the door, still silent as the grave. I lean against a pole because I'm Spider-man and I want to see their reactions to me being there the whole time.

No. It's just because you're weird and had no idea what to do with your hands.

Be quiet.

"What's up, guys? Did you forget your PIN number?" I quirk. Peggy snorts. The robbers turn around.

I continue with what I was saying. "Whoa! You're the Avengers!" 'Ironman' cocks his gun. I jump up to the ceiling. "What are you guys doing here?" I quickly web the gun away from it's owner, in turn hitting the others in the face. "Thor. Hulk. Good to finally meet you guys." I kick 'Thor' into a sign that ironically says, "Identity theft? We've got you covered." I turn around to look at him. "I thought you'd be more handsome in person." I turn back around and 'Ironman' tries to punch me. "Ironman! Hey, what are you doing robbing a bank? You're a billionaire." By this point, Peggy is laughing so hard she can't even stand up. 'Cap' takes a gun and fires it at me. It puts me in this bubble-like thing. "This feels so weird." Peggy looks over and immediately stops laughing.

You're gonna need some help with this.

I can see that.

She wrestles the gun out of Cap's hands, sending me flying into the identity theft sign.

"What is that thing?!" I ask.

"Chitauri tech," Peggy replies as she tries to destroy the gun. She ends up getting stuck in it's bubble thing.

"I'm starting...to think...you're not...the Avengers," she says as Cap uses the gun to bring her from the floor to the ceiling on repeat. I shoot a web to latch on to her and keep her on the ground. With my other wrist, I shoot a web that brings a desk or something flying forward to knock the Captain over. I don't even know what's happening for the next minute or two; It was all a blur.

"Hey, guys! let's wrap this up! It's a school night!," I shout as I kick Thor into the door. Ironman tries to use the bubble gun, but Peggy comes up behind him and knocks him out.

"So how do jerks like you get tech like this?" she questions, lifting up his mask to see his face. I hear Thor crank up another gun to full blast and look over.

"No! Wait!" I shout, seeing that he's aiming for Peggy, which makes Peggy look over. She uses her powers to make a shield to stop the attack. It worked. For the most part, at least. The blast pushed her back and broke the door completely.  But at least it didn't reach the other buildings nearby. I quickly webbed up the thieves and left a note for the police.

"You need...to call...Happy," Peggy pants.

I nod, already having my phone out. "Hey, Happy! The craziest thing to me! These guys were robbing an ATM with these high tech weapons-" (end researched lines) We start heading to my house.

"Yeah, kid, I really don't care. It's moving day." Happy says before I can finish.

"What? Whose moving? You're moving?"

"Yeah, Tony sold Avenger's tower. We're moving upstate. Where maybe, I won't get your messages." Ouch.

"But what if something big happens and Mr. Stark needs Peggy and me?"

"Stay away from anything dangerous. If you get hurt, Tony blames that on me. Now bye." Peggy looks at me in pity, having heard the whole conversation because I basically repeated everything.

When we get to my window, I open it and crawl in on the ceiling. Peggy follows soon after, but she walks on the ground. We hear a crash behind us.

------------------------------------------------------------------

No cliffhanger this time! At least, I don't think there are. Anyway, I feel like this story is too much about Pegasus in a Spiderman story, so I'm going to try to change that. Yes, I think that Team Cap was the right side, but I hate how they handled it, so don't hate on me. This is also the longest chapter yet! And thank you guys so much for the amount of reads and votes this story has. Okay, this is getting long.
