Topic 6

PART 1
1. Do you like taking photographs? Why/Why not?
I'm not a photography enthusiast, but I do enjoy taking pictures to capture memorable moments with my family and friends. Looking back at old photos helps me relive happy memories and brings a sense of nostalgia. Moreover, I think photography is a great way to express oneself. Sometimes, I like experimenting with different angles or adjusting the lighting to make the pictures look more artistic and visually appealing.

2. What devices do you often use to take photographs?
I usually use my smartphone because it is convenient and always with me. It has a good camera, so I can take high-quality photos anytime I want.
3. What do you often do with the photographs you have taken?
Normally, I save my pictures on my phone or computer so I can look back at them later. If I take a particularly beautiful or meaningful photo, I might share it on social media to show my friends and family. Sometimes, I print special photos to decorate my room or create a personal photo album. I also like using my photos to make greeting cards or slideshow videos for special occasions like birthdays or graduation ceremonies.

PART 2: A NEW SKILL YOU LEARNED IN THE FIRST YEAR AT UNIVERSITY
One new skill I learned in my first year at university was public speaking. I improved this skill through class presentations, which were part of many business courses. My lecturers provided guidance on how to structure a speech, deliver ideas clearly, and engage the audience. At first, it was difficult because I felt nervous speaking in front of my classmates. However, with continuous practice and feedback, I gradually became more confident. This skill is extremely important for my future studies and career because effective communication is essential in business and leadership roles.

PART 3
1    What skills do you think schools should train their students to prepare them for university life?
Schools should teach time management, critical thinking, and how to study independently. Communication skills and teamwork are also important because university involves a lot of group projects and discussions.

2. What skills do you think students should master to cope with advances in technology? Students should learn digital literacy, coding basics, and data analysis skills. Additionally, English proficiency is crucial because most technological advancements, research papers, and software documentation are in English. Being fluent in English allows students to access global knowledge, use advanced tools effectively, and communicate in international environments. With rapid technological changes, mastering these skills helps students stay competitive and adaptable.

3. Should universities require students to work part-time to learn professional skills?
I think it depends on the demand of students, universities should be encouraged but not required. Working part-time helps students gain experience and soft skills, but not everyone can handle it with a heavy study load. It's better to give them options and support.
