Topic 13

PART 1
1    Where do you often get news about your country and about the world?
I usually get news from online platforms like websites, social media, or news apps. For international news, I follow BBC or Reuters. For local news, I often check Vietnamese websites like VnExpress or Zing.

2    When in the day do you get news?
Mostly in the morning and evening. In the morning, I check headlines while having breakfast, and in the evening I read more details when I have free time.

3    What do you do to check the reliability of a news story?
I usually compare the story with other sources. If several reliable platforms report the same thing, I believe it. I also avoid websites that use clickbait or don't show clear sources.

PART 2: A SPORT YOU WANT TO TAKE UP
One sport I really want to take up is yoga. It's a form of exercise that focuses on both the body and the mind. I've seen many people doing yoga and they say it helps reduce stress, improve flexibility, and boost concentration.
I want to try it because university life can be very stressful. I study a lot and sit for long hours, so I think yoga could help me feel more relaxed and healthier. Also, it doesn't require too much equipment, and I can practice it at home or in a small studio nearby.
Yoga has become quite popular in Vietnam in recent years, especially among young adults and office workers. There are many yoga centers in big cities like Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.
I hope that by practicing yoga regularly, I can sleep better, manage my stress, and improve my posture. That's why I want to take up yoga as my new sport.

PART 3
1    What are the benefits of playing sports for young people?
Playing sports helps young people stay physically fit and mentally healthy. It also teaches them teamwork, discipline, and time management. Sports can also reduce stress and improve social skills.

2    What advantages do e-sports bring to the players?
E-sports can improve hand-eye coordination, quick thinking, and strategic planning. It also provides career opportunities, such as becoming a pro gamer or content creator. Plus, it builds online communities where players can connect.

3    Should universities include e-sports in their compulsory physical education curriculum?
I don't think e-sports should replace traditional physical education. However, it can be included as an elective. While e-sports have benefits, students still need physical activity for overall health. A balance between both would be ideal.
