Chapter Twentyone-Outside
(A/N) OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG-WE REACHED PAST 500 READS Y'ALL! I never thought I would reach past that! Anyway, here is a chapter for you guys!
"Jenna, you alright? You seem distant today." Carol asked once she sat down at the dinner table.
*Yes, why wouldn't I be?* I wrote, feeling a bit guilty that I had lied again.
"Nevermind." Carol mumbled as she shoved food into her mouth. I did my best to not cringe at the display of bad manners, as I was not used to them. Their utensils were much more simple too. Although I had used them last night, I had not adapted to it.
Carol, Ben, and I sat in silence for the rest of the meal.

"Jenna, do you want to go with me to my garden?" Miri called through the open front door.
I grabbed my pen and papyrus before quickly running outside and nodded my head. I showed her the *Sure!* I had written in a rather horrible handwriting.
"Okay, but first-" Miri handed me a hooded cloak. "-you have to put this on. Your golden hair will attract too much unwanted attention."
I pulled the hood over my head, double checking to make sure not a single lock of hair is shown to public. While I struggled desperately with the button, Miri continued on.
"You could also do the signals we did at your pal-um, home, when we were little. I still remember them, so you don't have to bother writing."
I stashed the papyrus and quill in an hidden pocket on the inside of the cloak. After all that writing, she just mentioned it? But then, people can remember stuff at random times.
*Great, that makes my job easier.* I signaled at the same speed I did with Arthur. *I thought you forgot.*
Miri took a moment to understand, then nodded her head in the way that says, I understand.
"Well, now, shall we go?" Miri smiled as she picked up a straw basket, full with different species of plants.
I smiled too. *Let's go!*
(A/N) Maybe if you vote they will have good luck for the upcoming...I can't say.
