"One of the superpowers of being a woman is making a mirror out of most reflections she sees, honey you should know that," fake Bonnie picks up a tone like she's talking to a baby as she stalks towards the car. Aasim and I shoot blindly as we wiggle our way from under it. As soon as we stand up, the couple block us from going any further. Luckily there's a honk from a car a few metres on our right courtesy of Jiaying- our trustworthy getaway driver. Whilst the criminals are distracted, Aasim and I bolt in that direction. Aasim runs momentarily backwards to shoot and lands a hit on 'Clyde' who was throwing spikes from under his boot at us. I try to do the same but don't manage to achieve the same result since I'm too far away.

"Shoot you idiot!" Cyrus shouts at Johnny as he fires his gun repeatedly.

"They are my daughter's age! You can't expect me to do that!"

"No I don't expect you to," the lady with the pink lipstick hurls the blade straight into Johnny's chest. Perfect aim. Aasim and I gasp as we are now in the car looking at the scene through the window. As we drive away, I try to abstain from looking at the way Johnny chokes on his own blood before falling into a heap on the ground and Cyrus follows his brother down, on his knees in peril. No doubt the lady in pink didn't like Johnny's hesitation. I can tell she does not let Cyrus mourn as the next moment her husband is in Cyrus's arms as he trails after her like a dog.

"She could have killed us easily," I whisper to nobody in particular.

"What do you mean?" Aasim puts his hands on my shoulders, his eyebrows furrowing.

"She let us go but why?" I continue trying to get my thoughts together.

"Maybe she thought you guys weren't worth staining her hands over," Jiaying contributes.

"Or sparing our lives was a thank you for sparing her husband's one," Aasim shrugs.

"I don't know about that. Somehow I feel like we owe her a favour now," I argue.

"There's no way I'm doing any favours for that crazy lady," Aasim retorts.

"Did you guys get the intel on the guys?" Jiaying says, refocusing us back to the main point of our operation.

"We barely got any before Mr and Mrs lunatic came along. The brothers were supposed to help out the couple with some cargo to ship off to Iceland." Aasim discloses.

"Supposed to?" Jiaying zones in.

"Johnny, one of the brothers got killed. I have no doubt the deal is still on though," I quip.

"So I guess our mission now is to locate that cargo and steal it?" Jiaying guess.

"Probably, but I'll text the team to find out what our next move should be," Aasim informs. "And Jackie you need to work on your aim."

"Well maybe you need to work on teaching me how," I fire back defensively. But Aasim is focused on his phone.

"Zeth identified the site that the brothers used. They have a hidden hanger about one hour away from here. He's arranged the directions on the GPS for you Jiay."

"I guess we're in for a long ride then. Buckle up buckos!" Jiaying chirps.

Aasim yawns loudly whilst talking which ticks me off, "Well I guess it's time for a nap. Tell me when you wanna switch Jiaying." And with that, he tilts his head back, closing his eyes.

I must have followed suit seconds after because when I wake up, my head is leaning on Aaism's shoulder and my head is supporting his own. Jiaying's eyebrows wiggle comically in the rear view mirror making me shove Aasim's head aggressively. He groans in response as I glare at my best friend via the mirror.

"You could have woken us up you know," I remark observing the foreign, bleak setting from the window. I've never seen an airplane hanger before but this just looks like an oversized shed to me. It poses as an anomaly in this deserted place, the green brambles and vines crawling up the walls of fading brown paint.

"Yeah I could've but then I wouldn't have gotten this photo would I?" Jiaying faces the front screen of her phone towards me, showing me a picture that she took of Aasim and I. It's actually cute but I can't say that to Jiaying because I know she is definitely going to tease me about it. It doesn't stop me from telling her to send it to me. It's the first time I've seen him so comfortable- so...peaceful.

"Were you just waiting for us to wake up? How long have we been here Jiaying?" Aasim catechizes.

"Oh I don't know, about 15- maybe 50 minutes."

"What! Belle's going to go mad!" I yell at her.

"Then we better get going shouldn't we?"

"We?"

"Let me take this mission with Aasim. I need to stretch my legs anyway," Jiaying offers. I nod in agreement, appreciating that she's probably more physically energised than me right now. My eyes droop from sleepiness despite the nap earlier but I persist in scrolling through my phone absent-mindedly, just for something to do. I don't have to wait for longer since out of the corner of my eye, I see my friends sprinting towards the car. As they get closer, I audibly laugh at the juxtaposing facial expressions on Jiaying and Aasim. Whilst Jiaying's face screams utter panic, Aasim's lips are curled in frustration with his jaw visibly tight. The engine roars to life in protest to it's sudden use as Jiaying steps on the gas the same moment there's an explosion at the entrance.

"What is with the explosions this month?" Jiaying attempts to make light of the situation naturally. But I don't fail to see how her fingers have turned pale from her tight grip on the steering wheel. I put my hand on her shoulder supportively to soothe her fears of coming close to death before asking Aasim what happened. He's on speakerphone with Zeth's who's tone is apologetic.

"I don't know how this could've happened. Yes they would have fathomed we were coming but not through the entrance I gave you. From hacking into the security system, it showed that the entrance hasn't been used in years. It's a forgotten backdoor entry," Zeth explains.

"But as soon as we stepped in, something was activated. Suppose they knew we'd try to go through that way?" Aasim queries.

"There's absolutely no chance, trust me. Before the brothers owned this hanger, a few old- school criminals did, using the security padlock I unlocked for you guys. The brothers wanted to modernise the hanger, updating and advancing their security measures in other means without wasting too much money so they just left that backdoor entry since nobody can find it-except well- technological geniuses like me."

I roll my eyes at that as Aasim snorts though we agree that he is particularly gifted in anything digitally related.

"Someone set us up," Aasim states.

"Or there's somebody that informed the brothers about our move," I propose.

"You think there's a mole?" Belle's voice reaches a pitch that translates to outrage to disguise the hurt from the betrayal I know she feels. I stay silent trying to weigh up the possibility. Luckily, I don't have to answer to further break Belle's heart as Zeth says he has a computer science lecture soon and cuts the phone. I imagine Belle won't be happy but she can always call from her own phone. Though she is probably calling Spadille to notify him of the leak that could be in our midst. God knows the chaos and paranoia that it's going to cause alone without the leak having to even do more damage. I shiver at the implications someone would receive if they were found guilty for treachery in the gang and immediately shake my head to remove the thoughts from my mind.

"You okay?" Aasim asks me. I nod in response so that we settle into a thoughtful silence.

If there's a mole, our identities have already been or are largely at risk of being exposed, lessening the chance of my friends and I getting jobs. We could even get excluded from University. I start biting my nails as guilt encompasses my heart. If I'm the reason my friends are exempt from a good future, I could never...no. I would never forgive myself.
