Charlotte King's POV:

"I'm so excited!"

Today's the group performance, and I've been here for less than ten minutes and that's the fifteenth time Rina's yelled that.

"Rina, calm down!" Nicola says, for the fifteenth time as well.

Silvan rolls his eyes and says, "If you're this excited about the very first performance, how in the world are you going to make it throughout the season?"

But she says the same thing, again. And so does Nicola.

Now, I roll my eyes at them and Silvan and I start talking about the stupidest things like the color of the wall to our left and how it complements the one to our right.

Anything to tune out those two...

Cassie signals us to take our places 'cause we're about to begin.

'Good' I think as Rina yells again.

Oliver and Cassie walk up onto the stage and begin their spiel...

"I didn't expect it to be this bad," Silvan whispers in my ear.

Almost everybody's already performed, but it has been the epitome of a disaster.

We had made it as easy as we could for these participants, but not one group, or even participant, has come anywhere near doing as well as we had expected.

The best so far are Sherlow 'Sher' Prince, a 20-something waitress, and Fabian Joy, a 20-something teacher, and they're the best only because they didn't forget their lyrics or fall on stage. And they only barely managed to pull through.

I sigh and face the stage.

"The last group of the day with the last two performances of the day..." says Oliver.

Oliver and Cassie step off stage as the last participants enter the stage.

Rina tugs my sleeve.

"What?" I snap.

"Look! It's the All-Stars!" says Rina.

I look up at the participants entering the stage.

I'm tempted to hold on to the hope that they'll save the day 'cause every single act on stage is a strong candidate for the trophy.

There are the twins Emmett and Elyssa Sparks, who auditioned back-to-back on Day One and were the best performers of the day, the groups J Square and Kristen, Cole and Zöe who auditioned on Day Two and the 40-plus star Lillian Philips who auditioned on Day Three.

It's quite safe to say that this is a supergroup.

Nicola sets the ball rolling by asking Elyssa to introduce everyone, and she does what she's asked to.

"Which song are you performing first?" Silvan asks.

"Bang Bang by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj," says Lillian.

"What's unique about your performance?" I ask.

"Wait and watch!" says Zöe with a wink.

"Tell me!" Rina whines.

"Okay, we're performing it A Cappella!" says Elyssa.

Silvan legit gasps. Nicola's and my mouths are hanging open.

Rina pushes our jaws back into place and continues.

"Okay, whenever you're ready, take it away!" says Rina.

All of them walk to the side of the stage.

Silvan looks at me with a confused expression.

"Probably a dramatic entrance..." I say and shrug.

It's complete silence now.

Elyssa struts onto the stage with a string of fancy beats flowing out of her mouth, to which Rina gasps.

She then slows down and is down to a simple beat when Zöe walks in and the two of them bounce some beats between themselves and walk up to the front of the stage and sit down there.

Kristen, Cole, Emmett, Jake and Lillian file in to the back half of the stage, stand in a semicircle and start on their harmonies.

Jade walks in singing behind Zöe and Elyssa.

"She got a body like an hourglass, but I can give it to you all the time

Cole takes over.

Zöe picks up the thread.

"She might've let you hold her hand in school, but I'mma show you how to graduate

Jake takes over.

They come together to form a position and it looks like it's going to end.

I'm confused because Lillian and Emmett haven't yet sung, and neither has Elyssa.

And that's when Zöe and Cole pick up the beat and Elyssa steps up to the front of the stage and raps, leading Silvan to gasp again.

Lillian takes over.
