It had been a few days since the attack and everything was pretty much back in order. I decided it was time to do something I didn't ever think I'd do.

Tell Eliza.

I decided to write it in a letter, so when she blew up at me, it would be through letter.

Dear Eliza,

Ever since I became your friend I thought something new had come into my life, something good. You'll never find anyone as trusting or as kind as you. The moment we met I wanted to tell you this, but saw you looking helplessly into Alexander's eyes, and didn't want you thinking any differently of him or me. I know that I will always be there for you, but I have kept a secret from you.

My dear Eliza, I am so sorry for keeping this from you.

You are always asking what my full name is. I never wanted to tell you because I'm his sister. My full name is Ashley Hamilton.

I understand if you no longer want me to be the Maid Of Honor, all I ask is that you don't tell him you know. He will worry about me causing me to worry about him which is bad for both of us.

I'm so sorry for not telling you earlier.

I read the letter out loud as I wrote. It was a habit I had gotten into after I had stopped spying. It was a luxury I didn't have while on the other side.

I used to check the area before I wrote letters, just in case I did accidentally read out loud. I didn't while I was here though. I assumed no one would be spying on me.
