Ash's POV

"Cease your struggling!" I was harshly jabbed in the side by the blunt end of a staff as I lay on the floor of the spaceship that the Black Order had taken after Thanos had teleported all of us to his main base.

"We are approaching Planet C-53." The blue-haired being announced to the other three.

"Proxima, you and Corvus tend to the Mind Stone in Scotland while Cull and I see to the extraction of the Time Stone in New York." The telepathic being directed to the others before she asked,

"And which group shall the Chrysinthean accompany?"

As they started debating amongst themselves, I tried to wriggle my wrists to free my hands of their restraints so I could try to melt the metal band around my staff armband off but my effort was stopped when the restraints tightened even further while I was lifted off the ground with an invisible force to face the being as he spoke condescendingly,

"Ah ah ah..."

"She goes with you then, Maw... Be sure not to lose her before Father has the chance to... educate her on her planet's hidden history." "Proxima" told the being as I was hovered over to the giant lizard being who I now assumed was "Cull" and he grabbed me tightly in one hand again to keep me from struggling.

What do they mean 'hidden history?' I thought to myself as the other two were beamed down to Earth in one direction and the coordinates for New York were being uploaded into the machine next by "Maw".

After a few minutes, the ship was flown through the atmosphere right over the city and my eyes widened as I took in the familiar sights only to get shaken back into focus when the ship rumbled a bit from some kind of impact outside making Cull almost drop me and I was able to turn enough to give him the stink eye before he growled and I begrudgingly stopped with an eye roll.

*Preparing transport*

A mechanical voice sounded and both beings walked over to a large circle in the middle of the room and, before I knew it, blue light filled the area and when it dimmed back down we had been transported to the street below.

Several cars had been crashed and abandoned, fires were lit from the chaos, and, in the distance, people were running away except for four: Tony, Dad, and two men, one with robes and a red cloak and one wearing the same style robes.

I could sense the one with the red cloak had the Time Stone with them and I saw Tony and Dad's eyes widen when they caught sight of me being held captive and Tony had to catch Dad's arm when he made a move to bolt to me before Maw started to monolog,

"Hear me, and rejoice. You are about to die at the hands of the Children of Thanos. Be thankful, that your meaningless lives are now contributing-"

But good old Tony cut him off with,

"I'm sorry, Earth is closed today. You better pack it up, leave the kid, and get outta here."

"Stonekeeper..." Maw directed to the man with the red cloak, who tilted his head in question before asking while referring to Tony, "Does this chattering animal speak for you?"

"Certainly not. I speak for myself."The man conjured some rings of light with intricate patterns around his fists as he readied into a fighting stance as he added, "But you're trespassing in this city and on this planet." The man next to him made the same motions as he did to prepare to fight as well before Tony called out,

"He means get lost Squidward!"

Making me smile underneath the binds despite the circumstances before Maw ordered Cull,

"He exhausts me. Bring me the Stone."

"MRRFF!" I let out a muffled grunt as I was dropped carelessly to the ground before Cull began to stalk toward the four of them, but I noticed that Dad wasn't turning into the Hulk.

Starting to panic, I could vaguely hear Tony asking him why he wasn't turning as Cull continued getting closer to them before Tony stepped forward and was encased in tech that soon formed his suit and four hovering blasters formed behind him that shot Cull back toward me and Maw if he hadn't waved his hand to make him to land to the side.

Right as Tony turned back to the others, Maw raised his hand and sent Tony flying up into the air with Cull following him as Maw started sending projectiles made from debris toward the two sorcerers and one of them created a shield to protect himself and the other as he teleported Dad away.

I started struggling again to free myself so I could help when I heard Tony yell,

"Bye!"

Flying up into the air before he was cut off by Cull who sent him flying away toward the park in the distance before following him.

Come on! I was furiously thinking to myself as I tried to direct all my energy to my hand so they could melt the binds and I succeeded in heating the metal, but its density was too much to pull apart even when heated up, like trying to pull apart slightly frozen taffy, and I knew I was going to need something else to cut or rip it apart.

Right as I was looking around to see what I could try to use to cut the slightly molten metal, I was lifted off the ground again and hovered in the air right in front of Maw.

Time seemed to slow down as I noticed the sharp stone projectiles being shot toward me after the two sorcerers had two portals open to sling them right back to Maw after he shot them at them first and was now using me as a living shield, to the surprise of the sorcerers, but it was too late for them to do anything to stop them as they got closer.

In a split second decision, I raised my bound arms up to let one of the stones slice right through the molten metal to free my hands as two more hit my side and leg before I shifted my hand to the band surrounding my staff and melted right through with the help of it, allowing me to summon it and whirl around to send a slash of fire at Maw that burned his head and forced him to drop me.

I landed on the ground a little shakily since the fragments of stone didn't pierce all the way through my outfit, thanks to Shuri's sturdy and ingenious design, but definitely hard enough for some serious bruising which gave Maw enough time to lift a mailbox and send it crashing into me, knocking me back toward the two sorcerers before a fire hydrant blasted a hard stream of water to the second sorcerer, knocking him away as well just as the one with the red cloak whisper yelled to me,

"Go Lumna!"

But before I had enough time to ask him how he knew my Chrysinthean name, a portal opened beneath me and sent me falling out of the sky and right on top of a familiar face as we both crashed to the ground.

"That's gonna hurt in the morning... also right now..."

Arching my eyebrow in disbelief, I had to melt the bind around my mouth before I could exclaim,

"Peter?!"

"Ash?!"

"Hellos later, battle now kids!" Tony yelled from where he was fighting Cull and I jumped to my feet to ready my staff, holding it from the bottom like a baseball bat.

Running full speed toward Cull, I swung my staff with all my strength to smack him away, sending him flying away as popping sparks flew out after the hit made contact.

"That's for manhandling me!" I shouted with annoyance as he struggled to get up from that hit.

"When did you go all aggro?" Tony questioned, slightly joking and slightly concerned.

"A few years as an unwilling gladiator on a lawless alien planet tends to do that." I panted out slightly drained from that hit.

"That's where you've been?!" Peter shouted in disbelief as he picked himself off the ground before adding, "Everyone thought you either were still on the run or died."

I was about to remark on that when a blur of red flew through the air, catching our attention.

"Spider Kid, that's the wizard. Get on it."

"I'm on it!" Peter shouted before using his webs to sling himself away after the sorcerer.

"Fire Kid, you stay and help me deal with this thing."

"Sure thing," I agreed as Cull was finally starting to get up before I smirked and looked over to Tony to say, "And really? Fire Kid? Don't tell me after all this time you've finally run out of clever nicknames."

"Hahaha..." Tony "laughed" flatly as Cull charged at us and tried to shoot a claw at me but I used my staff to vault over the punch and unfortunately left Tony open for the claw to trap him.

"Little help!"

I leaped after Cull just as he jumped up to land a finishing blow on Tony before a portal from before opened up.

"Woah!" I yelped as the portal sent Cull to a snowy location and I nearly went through as well if my staff hadn't halted in the air with the stopping momentum making me swing up and backward away from the portal so I could land next to the other sorcerer from before and Dad.

"Ash!"

"Dad!"

We hugged before I was pushed behind slightly as Cull made a move to jump back through the portal if the sorcerer hadn't closed it, severing off his hand in the process and Dad retched in disgust kicking it away as it was slightly scorched from the portal.

"Wong, you're invited to my wedding." Tony told him before he flew up to the sky where, in the distance, I saw that Peter was hanging on by a web to the cloaked sorcerer as they were both being beamed up into the ship.

"Wait wedding?!" I realized shortly after Tony said it before looking over to Dad as he shrugged and whispered to me,

"I'm as lost as you..."

We stood there watching the ship as it started moving upward and I whispered,

"C'mooon..."

But my hope for them to return quickly was snuffed as the ship made it through the atmosphere before eventually disappearing into space.

"Do you think they'll be OK?" I turned to Dad to ask him as he started walking back toward the city streets and I followed,

"I don't know but I know Tony, he won't go down without a fight." He gave me a reassuring smile at that and I nodded in agreement as he started searching the ground for something and just before I could ask what he was looking for he found it, an older flip phone model, covered in dust but looked to still work.

He was blowing the debris dust off it when we noticed the other sorcerer, Wong as Tony called him, opening another portal and started to step through when Dad asked him,

"Where're you going?"

"The Time Stone's been taken. The Sanctum remains unguarded. What will you both do?" He nodded toward us at the last part of his sentence so Dad held up the phone and answered,

"We're gonna make a call."

Wong nodded in understanding before waving his arm in a circle to close the portal and Dad opened the phone to reveal only one contact on it; Steve Rogers.

He hit the dial button and it rang three times before it clicked and Dad spoke,

"Hey.. Steve? Yeah yeah it's me... Listen, we've got a situation..."

As he caught him up on everything that was happening, I looked to the sky as a strange feeling started to warm my core and I could hear whispers in my mind so I placed a hand on my chest to try to listen to the voices before I opened my eyes to question out loud,

"Gora? JJ?"

AN- Sorry if it wasn't as filled with as much comedy as the movie, but at least I got this posted a little earlier than expected and hopefully next chapter will have more comedy since that's when JJ and the other Guardians come in :) As usual I will try to get the next chapter out as soon as I can but with school, work, and now a family death, it might be a while...
