We were walking back home at night. Apparently, it happened to be that night that nightlights were on. It made Middle City Town very beautiful. It made Zayn's face really shiny. Zayn's face was always shiny but - it looked glittery than usual. He suddenly stopped and sat down on a bench. He told me to sit by tapping the bench. I sat next to him and felt the spark on my butt. I jumped up and started to rub my butt.

"Damn spark!!!" I cursed and sat back down. Zayn's face looked bothered. He was staring at the ground.

"Is something wrong?" I asked him. He sighed and tried to put on a strong smile.

"I might go back anything Beth" Zayn said.

"Wh-What do you mean by that?"

"Isn't it obvious? I was brought here to fall in love. Just to prove that - anyone can fall in love. A punishment" Zayn said. I had never seen him open up to anyone like the way he has done to me. It just proved that he wasn't much of a demon. He was as human as me. I took his hands and held them in mine.

"It doesn't feel like a punishment does it?" I asked him. He laughed.

"Nice try Dark Hour. I don't feel punished" he joked and laughed. Seeing him cheerful always made me happy. He looked gloomy some seconds ago and now was laughing. Soon, he looked gloomy again. He turned to me and held his chest.

"I mean, I might disappear at any moment." he said. My eyes got very wide. It finally made sense. Dark Hour had brought him there to fall in love. Since he had already fallen in love, he could disappear at any moment and go back to his world. My eyes got teary.

"ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT AFTER EVERYTHING, AFTER HATING YOU AND THEN SUDDENLY LOVING YOU, YOU COULD DISAPPEAR AT ANY MOMENT AND LEAVE ME?" I shouted  and started to cry. Soon, I felt his hend on my back.

"Instead of staying here and drowning in a stream of sorrow, why don't we do something fun?" he said with a lively voice. He stood up and pulled me up. I frowned and folded my hands.

"You can't be serious" he said and tickled me. I admit - I laughed.

"I don't want you to disappear" I said like a child. Now, I was the one who was being the child. He made me act like things I would never act like in a million years. He started to think, snapped his fingers and held my shoulders.

"Bethany, there's something I need you to remember" he said deeply. I looked at him and didn't blink even once.

"No matter the time I disappear, I would always come back for you" he said and smiled softly.

"In the afterlife?" I said like a controlled drone. Really, I looked like I was under a spell. Zayn laughed.

"No. Literally" he said and looked at me like he was looking for something on my face. He came close to me and pecked my lips. I didn't expect that. I was so shocked that I touched my lips with my fingers and smiled. I ran to catch up with him because I didn't even realise he had walked away. But know this - I kept what he told me to remember in my mind.

Later at night, after Zayn and I returned home, he was sleeping on the bed. I had told my sister everything - I mean everything. I was sitting on the floor with her.

"That's sad. How do you feel?" she asked me and brought out some tissue papers just incase they'd come in handy.

"Outrageous. But, he said no matter when he disappears, he'd come back for me" I said with a sad voice. My sister clapped.

"Then you should trust Zayn" she said.

"I do. I'll feel lonely"

"I will be here you know" she said

"That's not what I meant" I said and rolled my eyes.

"Well, the best thing to do is make the best of every moment now that he's here. Like maybe tomorrow, we can go to the amusement park. They're hosting games there. They said it's special" my sister said but very soon, the expression on her face changed. She looked surprised. I felt the spark in my head. I swiftly turned back and saw Zayn looking down on us.

"Shriek!!!" I exclaimed in shock.

"How long have you been there?" Kate said trying to calm down. She looked really scared.

"Since Beth said she'd feel lonely" he said and patted my head. My eyes started to twitch.

"Can you at least say something next time?" Kate said and started to fan herself with her hands.

"By the way, I like your suggestion. We'll go" he said cheerfully.

"Yes. Don't bother asking my opinion. We'll go. Yay." I said with a low voice. Kate jumped up in excitement and brought out her phone.

"I'll call Jessi and Rina. You both made the right decision" Kate said and went into the toilet. I turned back at Zayn and saw him smiling. I also smiled even though I had no idea why he was smiling.

"Will you please come to the bed?" he asked. I slowly stood up and climbed the bed. After I laid down - Zayn cuddled me like a teddy bear.

"Goodnight" I said.

   The next day, we were on our way to the amusement park to get involved in the event they were hosting. When we got there - everyone was busy. Some people were playing paint ball while others were playing games and buying tickets. Kate turned to me and winked. That's when I knew something was up.

"So.... um... I'll just leave you two...so...bye." she just said and ran away. I stretched my hands towards her - thinking she would pity my poor heart but she left me all alone with Zayn. After she left, I slowly turned to Zayn whose eyes were already on me. I felt a spark on my chest so I touched my chest.

"I felt it on my chest" I said with a low voice. Zayn held my hand in a lock.

"That's a good thing" he said and dragged me towards a game center that a lot of people were gathering. The person who was meant to be supervising people was facing back but as soon as she turned to us - my mind was blown. From the way things looked, her mind was blown as well.

"Mum?" I said and almost fell but luckily, Zayn was there to catch me. Kate quickly ran to direction and couldn't and couldn't say a word so she just stood by mum. My mum looked at me and get this - she hadn't blinked once. She turned to Zayn and pointed at him.

"Is that the actual Zayn Park that everyone has been talking about?" my mum asked and blinked in disbelief. Here we go again. Even my mum? I nodded and faked a smile.

"They're dating" Kate said in excitement.

"Uh...." Zayn and I said staring at each other.

"He looks more handsome in person" my mum said and pinched his cheeks while Zayn smiled sweetly.

"I think that demon added to your name is an irony" Kate said and playfully punched him.

"Excuse me?" Zayn said and his eyes turned red immediately. "Don't take my kindness as ignorance Katherine Allen Halloway."
My mum's expression changed into uncertainty while Kate was sweating.

"So-tell me about Zayn" my mum said to me. Kate decided to do all the talking but I spoke where it was necessary so.... this is how things turned out:

Kate: Zayn is very smart
Zayn: Yup!!!
Beth: magically smart (I said interrupting)
Kate: And he is harmless (she dragged)
Me: I don't think you want to mess with him (I interrupted)
Kate: He loves dogs
Me: He does?
Zayn: You didn't know that?

My mum bought the whole conversation and hit the table.

"Can you guess where you are? Anybody?" my mum asked. Zayn turned back and well, a lot of people were staring at us. Something public was meant to happen.

"A public game. Definitely a public game" he said and smirked.

"A love game" Kate said dramatically. My mouth dropped. EVERYBODY WAS GOING TO WATCH US PLAY A LOVE GAME!!! That meant I had to try not to fidget too much.

"Wow. Interesting" Zayn said and cracked his fingers.

"W-W-W-Why are you cracking your fingers" I asked getting the shivers. He just smiled at me suspiciously which didn't make things any better.

"There are going to be four sections. For each room you enter, someone will explain what you're meant to do." my mum said. I was sweating. I started to fan myself with my hands.

"Uh.... please excuse me" I said and ran out. I started to look for the nearest convenience. Once I entered, I stared at myself on the mirror.

'It's just a game right? I mean, he hasn't even properly asked me to be his girlfriend' I thought to myself. I sighed and washed my face. I removed the packer from my hair and flung it. I realised how beautiful I looked with my hair down. I wanted to look really beautiful for the game. I took my my foundation out of my bag and applied some. After that, I took out my lipgloss and applied it on my lips. At the middle of my makeup, my sister stepped in.

"Beth, we're-" she said until she saw what I was doing. I rubbed my lips together and put the lipgloss back in my bag.

"Ahhh...I see what's going on. You wanna look good for Mister Handsome" she said and gave me the brows.

"Oh shut up" I said and left the toilet.
