05 | alessia jasmine stryker ( form )
𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆
— golden state of mind
𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔
— lord & lady stryker ; she and her parents are also related closely to the velasquez de cuellar, and lo vas a olivdar and million dollar man (i think?) are said to be staying with them.
𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆
— alessia ; coming from italian and greek origin, namely the name alexius, the gorgeous name means defending warrior and usually refers to a girl who is strong and smart.
— jasmine ; with persian origins, this was a name both her parents adored, with a meaning so true, gift of god, like a child is to her parents
— stryker ; the surname stryker, though it may not seem so, is from german origin, though more commonly used in england, meaning tester or those who test.
𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔
— ali ; this is probably the most common nickname for her, and the only thing her father calls her. he's been calling her such since forever, and others think they can call her ali as well, just because alessia is too much. she doesn't mind though — she might actually prefer the latter.
— lissy / lissia / liss ; these are all names her mother alternates between. although the woman tends to refer to her as alessia the majority of the time, especially as she got older, these nicknames still come out every so often and alessia loves them. not only the nicknames, which she does have a preference towards, but also the fact that they remind her of a time that her mother and her were closer.
— al ; only alessia's closest friends call her al, although it's so similar to ali. she genuinely loves this nickname, even though she doesn't really have a reason for it.
— sia ; if there's one nickname alessia hates, it's sia. she doesn't mind being called it, obviously, and won't throw a fit or anything of the sort, but she doesn't like the name. at all. is there a legitimate reason behind this? no. it just doesn't fit her.
— alice ; again, she doesn't like this one. she definitely likes it better than the former but alice doesn't seem to fit her either, same as the previous. maybe it's just something about how angelic the name is, how it feels like it's for a girl content with the stereotypes. maybe it's not. alessia doesn't know, she just prefers not to be called by this, but rather al or ali.
𝒂𝒈𝒆
— eighteen ; though she may only just be an official adult, in maturity, alessia is older. mentally, she is over that age, understanding the world and having opinions she isn't meant to have, per se. that doesn't mean she can't be childish at times. she most definitely can. maybe eighteen is just the perfect age.
𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓
— cisgender female ; at times alessia can't help but think, what if she was a man. the system is unfair to her, she detests most of it, but ali is mostly glad that she was born a female. because really? her dream is to help the females of the society.
𝒔𝒆𝒙𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚
— bisexual with no particular lean ; lissa has never actually had a proper crush or such, like others she knows but she does know that she's attracted to both genders. after all, everyone is gorgeous and AHH.
𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒊𝒎
— courtney eaton ; waist length, pale brown hair looks magical on her, brown eyes glittering with emotion. she's the definition of an angel, if they were known to be brunette, though she doesn't necessarily like this description.
𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚
— daydreamer ; alessia is constantly daydreaming. she's always thinking of a better life (occasionally in a fantasy novel, like the one's she loves) and her brain is always functioning, always thinking. most of the time, people have to repeat her name multiple times before ali snaps out of it. needless to say, this infuriates her mother.
— intelligent ; it's not that alessia values knowledge over all else, though she is generally a smart person and craves to learn more, become what society calls 'smarter.'
— curious ; linking onto that, liss is extremely curious. she wants to know more, she wants to understand more, the things they tend to only teach the males. she doesn't care about how to cook rotisserie chicken, she cares about the knowledge of things that they think women shouldn't need to know.
— distant ; at first glance, people think of alessia as distant. lost in her own world. she might be, in all honesty. she's not the most talkative, friendly person and prefers to keep her friends close and not get extremely close to others.
— fighter ; though not in a physical sense, ali will continue to fight anyone. if she believes something, she will tell people that and alessia will very much fight for it.
— persistent ; and on that note, she's just as stubborn with these things. no matter what people say, she won't give up. words are meant to cut, al knows that better than anyone. so she'll keep going, keep pushing, to get something. whether for herself or others.
— passive aggressive ; it's an understatement to say that alessia gets annoyed and aggressive fast. if you irritate her, her words will tend to come out in snaps, with a roll of her brown eyes, though still sickly sweet.
— sarcastic ; there's nothing more to say than sarcasm is alessia's second language. or her first? who knows, she's more sarcastic than not. and no, this isn't usually a good thing - especially with her mother.
— irritated easily ; people, especially men, tend to get on lissa's last nerves way too quickly. they just don't get it and it gets alessia fuming.
𝒉𝒐𝒃𝒃𝒊𝒆𝒔
— reading ; ali is a complete literature whore. good books, good writing, she loves it all. she loves reading, almost anything and everything. to her, books let her live in another world and escape reality for a little bit.
— writing ; like reading, al loves to write. maybe you can call it her passion, though it isn't ladylike for a girl to become a writer. does that stop her? no, she still scribbles away short stories in a journal. though her writing is probably the one thing she refuses to share.
— horse riding ; most people immediately tell her this isn't a hobby for ladies. unless, possibly, if they ride sidesaddle with a husband. alessia disagrees. she adores horses and adores riding them. the calm sense of galloping through the fields, hair flowing in the wind, the only noise being the clatter of hooves on the ground.
𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆𝒔
— books ; like mentioned, she adores reading. she adores the books, the other world, the vivid stories. she adores the characters, the magical writing, the fact that books are more than just words on a page. some people don't understand that and she doesn't understand them.
— late night ; there's nothing like the night, to alessia. the cloak of black across the sky, lit by a beautiful crescent moon, shimmering stars scattered across. even better, is reading under the late night skies.
— stargazing ; like the previous, she loves the stars. they're gorgeous and sitting on a blanket, looking up at the stars, is unlike anything else. it's flawless.
— horses ; just as much as alessia loves riding, she loves horses. the beautiful, powerful animals. there isn't more to say.
— her family ; as much as they get on every single one of her nerves, ali loves her family. most of the time. they can be terribly annoying and very sexist at times, but at the end of the day, they are her family and she knows they love her.
— learning ; because of her curious personality, she loves learning. alessia wants to learn (and not how to clean the house) - she wants to go to university, she wants to study literature and she wants to gain more knowledge. unfortunately, that's only for men.
— fancy words ; to say the least, alessia adores long fancy words. imagine not using serendipity or clandestine. lissa could never. not only do these words make her look smarter but they also just sound magical.
𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆𝒔
— men ; okay, not men in general. sexism. the fact that men decide that men should get more rights, more education, more everything. she hates those men, with every fibre of her being.
— sexism ; why are men better than women? why are men put above them? why aren't people equal? alessia would very much like to know because men never have a reason, besides the generic ones they recite, daily.
— corsets ; they might be pretty to some girls but to lissa, they're just tight and uncomfortable, completely unnecessary. she doesn't mind pretty dresses, ballgowns, occasionally, but corsets? god, she detests them.
— marriage ; it's not that she hates marriage in general. in fact, alessia doesn't hate the concept of falling in love and marrying someone due to that. she hates the concept of arranged marriage. she hates the concept of what comes after marriage. she hates the concept that husband and wife are not equals.
— peanuts ; absolutely disgusting. although nuts in general aren't her favourite thing.
𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚
— father, lachlan malcolm stryker ; alessia isn't too close with her father but she is closer to him than she is to her mother. she does tend to steal his books every so often and whilst he disapproves, he doesn't say anything and lets her read. there isn't too much harm in that, right?
— mother, annabelle elise stryker ; ali and annabelle are very similar, personality wise. does that mean they have the same views? absolutely not. annabelle is persistent to get her daughter married. alessia is persistent against that. they both tend to get on the other's nerves and get into fights constantly.
— siblings ; lissa has three siblings, one of whom she's actually close to. her eldest brother, alastair harold stryker is finishing university and this fuels the jealousy in alessia. it's not that she isn't happy for her brother - she is. she just knows that will not be her, not at the rate their going. her eldest sister, allison isla rowen nèe stryker is married off and has been for years. allison and alessia never got along - the former being perfectly content, the latter being the opposite. her youngest brother, archibald (archie) grant stryker has always been close to her - especially since he is so young and doesn't understand most of society's concepts yet.
— the velasquez de cuellar's ; i don't know, it has to be ✨discussed✨
𝒐𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝒔𝒆𝒙𝒊𝒔𝒎
— absolutely hates it ; there isn't more to say. it fills her with anger and questions. why? what is the reason? why aren't men and women equal? why can't she go to university? why are women expected to become housewives?
𝒐𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒈𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒕
— she doesn't like it much ; again, she doesn't like it. she doesn't understand why balls need to be put together with solely the wealthy to force people to marry. to force women to look pretty and see which man wants to marry her.
𝒐𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒐𝒚𝒂𝒍 𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚
— it's complicated ; long story short, alessia has nothing against the royal family. they're irrelevant to her. but at the same time, she has so much against them. the royals have the power to change things, to change society and yet they do absolutely nothing at all.
𝒐𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒑𝒉𝒐𝒃𝒊𝒂
— absolutely hates it pt two ; as with sexism, homophobia fills her to the brim with anger and questions. why? why can't people like someone of the same sex? why can't two females or two males make a balanced household? why is it not allowed?
𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒈
— the man, taylor swift ; did you expect anything else, though?

𝒂𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒄
— ravenclaw ; the scent of new books, the flutter of pages flipping, the passing of anger, the blues of leather bound books, the stars shimmering in the ebony sky, the gold of intricate patterns, the crisp winter air, the atmosphere of snowy mountains.
