3. The Eye of the Beholder

The Eye of the Beholder is the first sequel to And We Will Have Snow. It occurred to me that the title nicely summarizes the theme of the first two chapters here.

In the book, Chapter 3.3, Echoes, particularly well captures that theme. Here is the link to it (clickable copy in the comment). (Don't skip the Dusty Springfield song.)

In this chapter Tengri talks about QAR and the Q. That talk ties in directly with the theme of this book. When I remembered that I decided, "Okay. Enough said. Give Tengri the floor."

The book that follows The Eye of the Beholder is called The Sum of All Imaginings. In that one, Chapter 5 is called Space Dream. There Tengri is talking with Kore about the nature of the universe. He gives the following answer to a question from her: "Maybe. But remember, the universe we're talking about is only the physical part. The mind part, the Q, may not collapse in the same way."

As you might imagine by now (or recall if you have read it) The Sum of All Imaginings includes a lot more speculation about that sort of thing.

I really do think I've already said enough about this. So there you go. That's a wrap on this little essay of a book.
