the final (queerbaiting) problem
spoilers i guess
things i liked about the episode:
-moriarty's scenes
-sian brooke was really amazing to play all of those women (E, therapist, Eurus)
-the end i suppose. i liked mary's video but ya know some of it can still be left open to interpretation haha
-parent!lock
-redbeard/victor trevor. it was disturbing but interesting.
-mycroft's umbrella sword
-that scene where sherlock had to choose who to shoot and mycroft was trying to make sherlock hate him so it was easier to kill him
-lestrade's comment at the end about sherlock finally being a good man :')
things i hated:
-the writing in general was bad
-the cinematography was bad
-the music was bad
-the fucking disgusting scene between molly and sherlock yup you know the one
-it looked like they spent 20 dollars on the set
-unrealistic scenes (bomb in baker street) and discontinuities (how did john get out of the well when he was chained to the bottom, molly wasn't actually talking to anyone on the phone, etc.)
-and last but not least,,,queerbaiting. thank you to steven moffat and openly gay man mark gatiss for wasting 4 years of my life. thank you for making me believe that queer people were finally going to get the representation they deserve in such a popular show. thank you for not making television history the way you could have. thank you for putting clues and lines in the show that obviously pointed to something deeper than friendship. thank you for letting almost all of the fandom down. thank you for getting our hopes up. thank you for not letting sherlock holmes and john watson finally admit to their romantic love for each other. it's greatly appreciated assholes.
