Forty

Jungkook saw Lavender sitting on Jimin's lap in the corner of the ship, Jimin playing with her hair, and her almost asleep with her head resting against his. He saw Hoseok giving Yoongi a piggyback ride and carrying him into their shared bedroom, Yoongi looking sleepy.

He saw Jin and Namjoon sitting by the windows, drinking wine, talking in murmurs.
Jungkook began crying.

Namjoon and Jin turned around with a frown.

"Jungkook? Oh god- what's wrong? Are you hurt?" Jin asked, and Jungkook brought his fists to his eyes, wailing.

"N-no-" Jungkook squeaked, shaking his head as tears rushed down his puffy cheeks. "I-I want Taehyungie t-too... where is h-he?"

"Taehyung's in the kitchen with his dad, you dumbass. Stop crying." Namjoon snapped, and Jungkook stopped crying, sniffling a bit, and then looked down shyly.

"Oh. Sorry." Jungkook said, and then saw the control room door open and Taeyung and Zaivis walk inside, both laughing about something.

"Really, it's crazy! Father goes out 6 times a week to gravity golf for hours. He really has nothing to do with his time. Honestly, it's kind of sad now that I think about it. Really sad. How come he didn't tell me he was gay?" Taehyung mumbled to himself, and Zaivis patted his back.

"Don't overthink it. Your dad had always been a little bit of a grump. I h-hope he won't be angry to see me." Zaivis mumbled, and then looked at Namjoon and Jin and gasped. "Ooh- pour me a glass of wine too!"

Taehyung watched him walk away and Jungkook rushed over to him. "How is it spending time with him?"

"Really great, actually. It's like having another parent. Fuck- wait, he is another parent. No, it just- it's weird. My father's always ignored me, only talked to me when I did well in stuff, and just shut himself out for a long time. So it's nice to have someone who's so relaxed and... fun, y'know?" Taehyung said, and Jungkook nodded.

"Yes! My parents suck too. My mom only likes my older brother and my dad forgets my name sometimes." Jungkook giggled, and then looked down, saddened by what he said. Taehyung cradled his cheek and kissed his forehead.

"I'll be your dad," Taehyung said, and Jungkook grimaced and pushed him away, both giggling.

"So. What's up with them?" Zaivis whispered to Jin and Namjoon, gesturing over at Taehyung and Jungkook. "Are they dating? Married? Soulmates? Or just that weird thing some people do where they both really like each other but aren't dating yet?"

"Oh no no- they're dating. Soulmates too, I think-"

"Really?" Zaivis gasped, and then rushed over to Taehyung and Jungkook. "Oh, you two are soulmates?"

"Yes! Yes, we're dating! I'm not a dog- and I'm so sorry for insinuating I was some sort of a sex slave pet that time when you walked in on us kissing," Jungkook said, hugging Taehyung tightly.

"How amazing. Everyone always says only Junos can be soulmates with one another, but that's stupid! Especially with people spreading across the universe now! I mean, your father felt like he was my soulmate. He tasted like wine to me," Zaivis chuckled, and Jungkook gasped.

"Ooh! Taehyung's semen tasted like white chocolate to m-" Jungkook began, and Taehyung smacked his head and then smiled sheepishly at his dad.

"Um- yeah. Jungkook and I are soulmates." Taehyung said, and then hugged Jungkook, rubbing his head lightly while Jungkook whimpered into his chest. "So how's the birth process for males?"

"If the soulmate connection is very strong, a sort of temporary uterus grows in you along with the baby in it," Zaivis explained with a smile. "I'm sure you want to know, huh?"

"What do you mean?" Taehyung asked, and then Zaivis looked at Jungkook with a smile. Jungkook frowned, but then saw Zaivis put his hands on Jungkook's stomach.

"I mean Jungkook! How far along is he?" Zaivis asked fondly, smiling.

"How f-far what?" Jungkook let out and then widened his eyes. "Why- what- what? What?" Jungkook stammered, and Zaivis chuckled.

"Oh come on. You knew, didn't you? It's true the birth process for males is much longer than that of women, but-" Zaivis began, and then frowned. "I mean you're glowing, and you've got a teeny bump-"

"No! I'm just fat!" Jungkook cried, and then looked at Taehyung with wide eyes. "Taehyung tell her I'm fat!"

Taehyung's eyes were wide. "A-a-are you saying that Jungkook is p-pregnant?" Taehyung squeaked out, and Jungkook shook his head. Jungkook shook his head profusely.

"B-because I had a feeling, but..."

"I'm not! I'm only 18 and I'm a boy!! No!!!!" Jungkook said, taking eight steps back.

"Taehyung why did you cum inside of me without a condom??"

"Fff- Jungkook, there are some things you don't say in front of your boyfriend's dad," Jin hissed, and then grabbed Jungkook. "Let's perform an ultrasound-"

"No! I don't want to." Jungkook squeaked, and Taehyung grabbed his waist. Jungkook looked at him and saw him smiling widely.

"K-Kookie-" Taehyung stammered and then brought him closer in. "Hey, don't be- don't be upset, okay?" Taehyung whispered. "If i-it's true, that means-"

"I don't want a-a baby, Tae." Jungkook let out.

"Not out of my ass."

"I know, I know you don't. But just do the ultrasound. We can find other resolutions after that." Taehyung whispered, and Jungkook bit his lip.

"I'll go with him. Alone." Jin said, taking Jungkook's hand and dragging him inside the small medical room. The door closed behind them, and then Jungkook looked at Jin.

"This is when you tell me this is some elaborate prank on me," Jungkook said curtly, and Jin sighed. "Lie down, Jungkook."

"No-" Jungkook whined, and Jin spanked his butt. Jungkook glared at him. "Stop you'll hurt the baby."

Jin sighed- and Jungkook climbed on top of the bed. Jin took out some medical care he didn't think he'd need at all- the new high tech stuff all the doctors used, and then turned around and looked at Jungkook.

Jungkook was on his knees, face pressed against the bed, ass in the air. "Get it over with," Jungkook said, voice muffled.

"The baby isn't in your ass!!" Jin shouted, and then turned Jungkook around, making him thumb against the bed. Jungkook's eyes were big.

"Jin... I don't wanna be pregnant." Jungkook said, looking at Jin. "I-it's too fast."

"Yeah, I mean you're only 18. I understand that fear-"

"No. No I mean, it's too fast with Tae." Jungkook said, and Jin looked at him. "We've known each other for a few months now and spent so much time together, and gone through so much- but it all feels so less. Too less. I-" Jungkook began and then huffed.

"I thought when we'd go back to Scora, we'd become closer. We'd go to classes together holding hands and study together. W-we'd... we'd get a crappy small apartment together, where Taehyung wakes me up every morning w-with kisses, and- and t-then we cook together and-" Jungkook began, and gripped his shirt tightly, biting his lip.

"And with a baby, you think everyone is going to get sped up and you won't be able to have alone time together?" Jin said softly, and Jungkook nodded, looking up at him.

"I'm 18. He's 20. We h-have the rest of our lives left to spend together. We haven't even been on a first date together, Jin! We- we've done so much together, so much crazy stuff- but I-I kind of wanna do the normal, relationship-y stuff with him now." Jungkook whispered, and then saw Jin give him a small smile.

"Jungkook, I've seen you and Tae, okay? He loves you a lot. And you love him. He's so fucking soft for you, it's ugly. You become a blushing mess in front of him. You two aren't going to change because of this. You'll only grow closer." Jin said, and then lifted Jungkook's t-shirt up to reveal his stomach.

"Let me just do this, now. It's best if you find out-"

Jungkook saw Jin putting a hand on his stomach, and then gulped- pushing Jin's hand off. "Jin, no. I can't."

"What?" Jin let out, and Jungkook sat up, shaking his head. "I'm not going to. I know what's going on here. You want to fuck me. But I can't, I'm dating Taehyung. I don't do that cheating stuff anymore-"

"Oh my god SHUT UP!" Jin yelled, and then pushed Jungkook down to make him lie down again. Jungkook whimpered and then felt Jin push his t-shirt up again. "You dumbass I'm doing this for the ultrasound."

"Oh. I thought you were just going to make loud sounds or something." Jungkook said sheepishly, and Jin sighed and then put the gel on his stomach.

Jungkook kept quiet, breathing heavily as Jin finished coating his stomach with it. Jungkook looked at Jin uncertainly, a tense silence in the room. Jin heard a sound and looked at the screen in front of him, where the image was.

"Oh-" Jin let out, and then frowned. "Wait... Oh-" Jin said, eyes growing wide, and then he looked at Jungkook in slight worry.

Jungkook gulped. He shook his head. "D-don't say it..." Jungkook squeaked, and then Jin gulped dryly. "Kookie go out for a bit, I'll tell you the stuff later. I need to figure it out because it's... weird." Jin mumbled, and Jungkook nodded wearily, getting up from the bed and walking out. He grabbed a tissue and wiped his stomach while doing so.

All the others were outside, waiting. Taehyung saw Jungkook and rushed up to him. "What is it?" Taehyung asked, rubbing his hands nervously.

Jungkook looked at him nervously. "I-I don't know yet. Jin says he'll confirm it soon."
"Oh," Taehyung nodded, and then gripped his sides. "You're okay, right?" Taehyung asked, and Jungkook nodded.

"Can we just-" Jungkook began, seeing all the others. "Can we just be alone for a bit?" Jungkook asked softly, and Taehyung nodded.

"Of course we can, baby. Come," Taehyung said, taking Jungkook's smaller hand in his and taking him outside the control room. He mouthed some words to Jimin- which he instantly understood, and explained to everyone else that Jin had to confirm later.

Taehyung took Jungkook down the hallway and then into the bedroom. "Tonight's probably going to be our last night on this ship," Taehyung said, and Jungkook giggled.

"Thank god, right? It's caused us some real troubles," Jungkook said, and then Taehyung sighed, putting his hand on the wall.

"Eh, I kinda liked it here. I made some really good friends and... well, met you." Taehyung said, and Jungkook put his hands on Taehyung's shirt. Taehyung put his hands on Jungkook's waist.

"Taehyung-" Jungkook began, and then put his head on his chest. "I-I'm scared. I know you w-want a baby, but-but I don't. I-I-"

"Hey," Taehyung whispered, looking at Jungkook through his silver eyes, looking into his softer brown ones. "Don't be scared, baby," Taehyung said, moving strands of his red hair out of his face.

"I'll be happy with whatever outcome, cherry. Honestly." Taehyung said, and Jungkook sniffled.

"Y-yeah but- but w-what if I'm pregnant and then you leave me!" Jungkook squeaked, and Taehyung shushed him softly, pressing a kiss to his cheek.

"Baby," Taehyung said, looking at him closely, noses touching. "You know I won't do that. I love you so much, you know that right? You make me so fucking happy, Jungkookie. I feel so- so out of control and helpless and scared without you- but when you're here, I feel so... sure of myself. Of everything." Taehyung said, and Jungkook blinked his big eyes. "I'm in love with you- and I'll be in love with whatever the verdict is."

"I'll be happy if you're not pregnant. But I'll also be happy if you are." Taehyung said gently, nudging their noses together. "If we have a little us toddling around us. With his or her half silver half red infused hair. The baby would have big eyes like you and- and we'd raise them to be the most perfect child," Taehyung whispered. Jungkook smiled a little.

Jungkook kissed him gently, and Taehyung kissed him back. Taehyung pulled away lightly, lips touching. "Does baby want me to pick him up?"

"Y-yes." Jungkook said needily, nodding. Taehyung smiled, he knew him too well.

Taehyung picked Jungkook up and sat down on the chair, letting Jungkook sit on his lap.
Jungkook played with Taehyung's grey hair, and Taehyung looked up at him fondly. "H-hey what if... what if things go back to how they were before all of us met?" Jungkook asked, fearful. "I don't wanna go back to who I was, Tae. I like me now. Even t-though you guys get mad at me for being dumb sometimes, I just... at least I don't r-repress my anger and make people scared of me."

"I like you now too," Taehyung said, smiling.

"And they won't go back. We know too much about each other. We've spent too much time together to just ignore one another once we're back. This space voyage kind of sucked, but it also created a lot of wonderful relationships."

"Yeah!! Like you and me. And Yoongi and Hoseok. And Lavvie and Jiminie. And you and your new dad!! And Jiminie and you! Best friends! And- and me and Yoongi! He always watches out for me and takes care of me! And Hobi and Jin are now bestest of friends!! And Lav and me! I love her now and she said she'd do my hair for our wedding!! And Namjoon and Jin, they-" Jungkook paused. So did Taehyung.

"What are Namjoon and Jin?" Taehyung asked, tilting his head. Jungkook tilted his head too.

"Are they dating? How come we don't know this?"

"Something's off... they've always been close but never kissed nor had any public display of affection. Hmmm..." Taehyung said, looking away. Jungkook giggled at him.

Suddenly the door opened, and both saw Jimin, who just nodded. Taehyung and Jungkook got up, Taehyung holding Jungkook's hand tightly, and both walked to the control room, silent. Jungkook held onto Taehyung's arm tightly, and saw Jin there, holding a piece of paper.

"You can look at it," Jin said, and Jungkook raised his head, smiling.

"I just want to say. I-I'm going to be happy with whatever the outcome is." Jungkook said, and Taehyung smiled at him. Taehyung moved away a bit, so Jungkook could see it first, alone.

Jin gave the paper to Jungkook, and Jungkook turned it over shakily, and then looked at the image.

Everyone was silent, waiting for his reaction. Jungkook's eyes were wide, and he clasped his hand over his mouth, tears rising in his eyes.

"Jungkook? W-what's wrong?" Taehyung asked, rushing over to him. Jungkook sniffled.

"I-I don't know what I'm looking at!" Jungkook cried out, and Jin groaned.

"Oh my god. Okay, look-" Jin said, and then showed everyone the picture. Taehyung's eyes widened.

"There's nothing." Taehyung let out, a small relief in his voice. Jin nodded, and Jungkook let out a sigh of relief as well, hugging Taehyung tightly.

"Yeah. No baby." Jin said, and then looked at Zaivis, who frowned.

"That doesn't make any sense... it seems like-" Zaivis began, and when he realised, he frowned. "Oh no,"

Jin gulped. "What happened?" Namjoon asked, and Jin sighed. "Jungkook did get pregnant. The fetus got formed enough for the uterus to be fully created and functional." Jin explained, and Jungkook tilted his head.

"Then where did the baby go?" Jungkook asked squeakily, and Taehyung's breath hitched. He frowned at Jin, who nodded, knowing Taehyung realized as well.

"A miscarriage?" Taehyung asked, and Jungkook tensed, eyes wide. Jin sighed, looking at the paper.

"Yeah. Looking at the timing from when you first has sex to the creation of this womb- it seems like the miscarriage happened during the lava planet explosion thing." Jin said.

"The what?" Zaivis asked, and Jungkook's eyes wavered, looking at Taehyung, who was looking down.

"T-Tae I'm so sorry! I d-didn't know I was-" Jungkook began, and then sniffled. "I-I ruined everything!" Jungkook let out, hands against his face.

"Woah, Jungkook-" Yoongi said, and Jungkook looked at him. "You didn't ruin anything. You didn't know! And honestly, if I were you, I'd be kind of happy with this outcome."

"Why?" Jungkook sniffled, and Taehyung wrapped his arms around his waist. Jungkook looked up at him.

"Because you aren't pregnant now, but the uterus has been formed, which means now you can get pregnant in the future at any time you want when you're comfortable enough," Zaivis said softly, and Jungkook looked at Taehyung, who smiled.

"You hear that, baby?" Taehyung whispered, nudging his nose with Jungkook's. "We can have our own baby in the future!"

Jungkook looked at Taehyung and a small smile reached his face, and he smiled really really big and started giggling. "T-that's- that's amazing!!" Jungkook squealed, and then was about to kiss Taehyung, and then froze.

"Oh my god, what if King Bing finds me?" Jungkook let out, eyes wide. Everyone froze.

"King who?? Girl what the fuck is going on..." Zaivis mumbled. Taehyung giggled.

"He won't! You'll be fine. The only person who's baby you're having is mine." Taehyung whispered, kissing Jungkook's lips. Jungkook giggled into them, and then they all heard a thump.

"Space Nova ZX92 landing in HOME PLANET. Welcome back!" The lady robot's voice came through the speakers, and everyone stilled with eyes wide.

"We're home!" Namjoon let out with a small, and everyone started cheering and hugging each other, going crazy.

"Back to our normal lives! No more of cruising around the galaxy! Back to.... studying.... and... being around annoying people constantly...." Jimin trailed, and then paused. "Fuck, guys. Is it better on this ship?"

"Don't say that, Jimin. We just went through a near death experience, something to write in the books about. It's crazy. Plus- we need to figure some stuff out." Namjoon said.

"Figure what out?" Lav asked.

"Figure out why they sent us out on this ship for no goddamn reason," Namjoon growled lowly, and Jungkook preened, biting his lip, blushing lightly. "God he's so hot," Jungkook whispered to Taehyung, who pouted.

"I don't like that you keep talking about Namjoon like th-"

"You deserve it for that whole you and Lav fiasco I had to suffer through. Anyways! Wig, we're back!!" Jungkook squealed, jumping up and down.

The ship slowly went into the blue planet and raced through the atmosphere, until they could see the planet. Funnily, they were landing onto the ship port of University of Space Technology and Exploration. Their university.

They saw themselves landing, all clapping and squealing and cheering as they did, and then finally made a smooth landing onto the platform. Everyone yelled out "Yay!!"
Everyone paused for a bit, and then Yoongi sighed. "I'm really going to miss this ship. And all of you guys. And having to explore space with you."

"Yeah, me too. To define endings-" Hoseok said, raising his hand. Jimin chuckled. "No, to new beginnings!"

"To new beginnings." They cheered, and then all looked at the door of the space ship, which they had to walk off of, and finally go back to their home planet. It was weird. It's like they almost had a small part inside of them that made them want to stay.

As deadly as it was, it was the most fun experience of all of their lives. Nothing like they've ever faced before. And it was ending.
The door opened, and Namjoon walked out of it. When he did, his eyes widened when he saw many reporters, news media people, journalists, and others standing around.

"How was it?" One woman asked, shoving a mic in Namjoon's face.

The people started asking lots of questions, and Namjoon frowned. All 9 of them walked out of the ship, trying to push past them, insisting that they were okay and the trip was okay-

"What's going on?" Taehyung asked, and one of the reporters scoffed.

"What do you mean what's going on? You all have been gone for 3 years!"

Jungkook's eyes widened. "3 years??"
Jungkook let out, realizing all his friends must've graduated by now.

"Everyone please move out. No more questions." A voice from behind shouted, and the reporters all groaned and moved away, looking annoyed. The boys looked at this voice and saw the principal of the University. He smiled at them.

"You've finally made it! We thought you got lost or stranded or worse, died!" He laughed, and Namjoon rose his eyebrow. The dude stopped laughing, gulping. "Okay yes, you have realized something is up and you didn't just go into this ship for no reason. But everything will be explained shortly. First, your family is here-"

"Mom!" Jimin called, rushing up to the older woman, who had tears in her eyes. "Oh Jiminie, I haven't seen you for so long~" She cried out, both hugging tightly. Lav smiled at them, walking up to her.

Yoongi, Hoseok, Jin, and Namjoon saw their parents too and rushed up to them, hugging them tightly, all in tears. Taehyung saw Zaivis standing by the door of the ship, looking scared.

"Come down, dad," Taehyung said, and Zaivis gulped. "I don't know. Maybe- maybe I should go back. Maybe your father doesn't-"
"Taehyung," A sharp voice came, one Taehyung understood instantly. Taehyung turned and saw his father, hair more grey now, walking up to him at a fast pace. "You've been gone for, what, 3 years?? Are you out of your mind? Do you know how worried sick I've been-"

"Okay, jeez dad, I didn't do it on purpose!" Taehyung said, and Zaivis looked at the man with wide eyes, gulping.

"M-Michael?" Zaivis let out softly because he looked just like he did 20 years ago, just his hair was whiter, and he'd grown more wrinkles. Michael froze.

Michael turned and saw Zaivis, in his silver skin and dark grey hair, smiling shyly. Michael looked at him with wide eyes. Taehyung took a step back, never having seen his father with so much raw emotion. "Baby?" Michael let out, and Taehyung saw Zaivis smile widely and run up to him.

"I m-missed you so much-" Zaivis let out, and they both rushed up to each other and Michael wrapped his arms around him tightly, so so tightly. Taehyung saw tears in his father's eyes and let out a smile. He'd ."never seen him cry before.

"O-oh m-my god," Michael stammered, eyes watering. "I t-thought you w-would never come back-"

"Your son found me. Found us." Zaivis whispered, and then smiled. "I-I still love you so much," Zaivis said, and Michael sniffled and pressed their lips together, holding his waist tightly. "I love you too. I've t-thought about you every single d-day-" Michael stammered, and Zaivis sniffled into his chest.

Taehyung stood beside them, shy. Michael looked at him, smiling. "Thank you so much," Michael said, and Taehyung smiled. He'd never seen his father look so happy, so loving. Michael brought his hand out, and Zaivis grabbed Taehyung into their group hug.

"Our son," Zaivis said, kissing Taehyung's forehead. Michael kissed his head too, and Taehyung felt tears grow in his eyes. A family.
Jungkook looked around, wondering why he was the only one whose parents weren't here. Jungkook was disappointed- but then gasped when he saw his mom.

"M-mommy!" Jungkook let out, seeing the older woman with her white hair, strict face. Jungkook rushed up to her, smiling widely.

"Mommy I-I thought you f-forgot about me-"
She walked right past him. Jungkook froze. Jungkook turned around, frowning. "Mommy?" Jungkook asked in a small voice.

The woman stilled and then turned around, and Jungkook saw her take the Bluetooth out of her ear. "Oh, sorry Jungkook. I didn't see you there. I haven't seen you in ages, darling. You should call home sometime." She said, pinching his chin, and then turned around and continued walking- talking into her Bluetooth about work.
Jungkook froze. "I-I was gone 3 years."

Jungkook squeaked and then felt moisture growing beneath his eyes. He saw his dad in the distance with his mom, and then rid himself of his tears. "Daddy!" Jungkook said, and his father looked at him. "D-Daddy look!! I'm back! I was g-gone for so long!" Jungkook said in a higher voice, rushing up to them.

"Jungkook! Wow, haven't seen you in ages it seems." His father said, and Jungkook rushed up to them and hugged his mom tightly.

"Mommy I missed you-" Jungkook began, and her mom grimaced and pushed him off.

"Please, Jungkook. Don't mess up my clothes." She irked in annoyance, and Jungkook stepped back, gulping. "S-sorry," Jungkook said, and then looked at his dad.

"Daddy I'm back! D-did you miss me?" Jungkook asked excitedly- knowing his father said not to hug him because it'd crease his shirt. Jungkook gulped when he saw his father looking at his phone, checking his emails.

"D-daddy? Did- did you miss-"

"Sorry Jungkook, we've got to go. Your brother's gotten promoted at work! How amazing. We'll see you some other time." His father said and then walked away with his mother, both ignoring Jungkook and leaving, talking about their other son.

Jungkook paused for a few seconds, unable to comprehend what happened. He felt tears fill his big eyes, and fall down his cheeks. Jungkook looked down, lips unable to hold in his cries. Jungkook put his hands to his face and began crying, wondering why his parents didn't care about him, even though he'd been gone 3 years.

"Hey, buttercup," A soft voice came, and Jungkook turned around and saw Zaivis smiling. "Come here." He said, and Jungkook rushed up to him and then felt Zaivis wrap his arms around him. Jungkook cried into his shoulder.

"You don't need your stupid family, Jungkookie. If you ever have any problems you can always call me, okay?" Zaivis whispered gently, and Jungkook sniffled at him.

"T-thank you." Jungkook squeaked and then smiled, closing his eyes. "A-and thank you for making Taehyung happy."

"Cherry," A soft voice came, and Jungkook turned around and saw Taehyung. Jungkook rushed up to him, and Taehyung picked him up with ease, letting the boy wrap his legs and arms around him. He really really needed that cradling right now. "Oh, baby- I'm here, okay? Your parents suck. Forget about them."

"I-I love you. And your gay dads." Jungkook squeaked, and Taehyung chuckled, seeing his dads in the side, Zaivis with his hands on Michael's shirt, and Michael smiling brightly with his hands on Zaivis' waist. "I love you and them too," Taehyung whispered, kissing Jungkook's cheek.

Jungkook, Taehyung, Jimin, Yoongi, Namjoon, Hoseok, and Jin stood in the University Board Room, standing in front of a bunch of old men in suits.

"Well, see- the thing is," One of the men began, coughing.

"Don't make up some bullshit." Jin snapped. "You sent 7 kids out into space with absolutely nothing! What for?"

"Look- the truth is, 3 years ago, our galactic navy was in the dumps. People who'd trained for years and years couldn't last more than 3 days in space. Especially not in the deep end. Some weird shit kept happening." One of the men said, and the boys frowned.

"So a scientist decided to hold a... social psychology experiment of kinds." Another man said, hands folded in front of him. "Decided to see what exactly was going wrong with the new generations- why it was that we kept losing groups of people in space."

"Social psychology experiment??" Taehyung asked, and the man sighed.

"The scientist, that crazy lady who put you into the ship, decided it'll be smart to put 7 random young adults into- into a ship. With no equipment, no backup, nothing. We saw if they'd survive. The scientist kept insisting that you would! That the extra tablets and maps are simply distractions, and the true essence of a space voyage is friendship and love or some crap."

Namjoon gulped, looking at the rest of the boys, who looked stunned. "So we threw you into that ship! We arranged for your map to get corrupted, tablets to get stolen, etc. We didn't think you'd make it. We looked at you through cameras for a year.... but-"

"But?" Jimin asked. One of the men turned red.

"You guys k-kept having sex so we turned the cameras off." He mumbled, and all 7 of the boys blushed.

"He means us," Jungkook whispered to Taehyung, who hissed at him to be quiet. The old men continued.

"Look- we honestly didn't think you'd make it alive. I mean we thought you'd run out of fuel instantly or get kidnapped or get fucked by tentacles and be forced to make babies!"

"I'm confused, does that happen a lot or something?" Hoseok asked, and the men sighed aloud. "A lot more than you'd expect."

"This is still all kinds of fucked up. We came close to dying at least 87 BILLION times! This is so unethical! How did they allow this?" Taehyung snapped.

"We didn't." One of the men said. "The scientist forced you in there- and then we realized there was simply no way of getting you back, so we might as well go forth with the experiment anyway."

"So you thought we would die and we didn't?" Namjoon asked, and the men nodded. One of them sat up, smiling.

"It's absolutely crazy. It's changed a lot for us. We sent groups of 50 people- but now we're planning to send smaller groups. And those groups should be friends. And those friends should be close. That's the only way you 7 made it alive, we concluded."

"This is still really weird. Didn't the media react badly?" Jimin asked.

"We told them you knew you were in an experiment and chose to go along with it. Anyways, boys! Don't be upset! Look at it in a positive way. I mean- you discovered a big chunk of the galaxy which was previously uncharted territory! You made our alliances closer with several planets! A certain king from some planet wants to come to ours and greet us with brownies or something-"

"Don't!" Jungkook cried. "Please. Don't let him here. He WILL eat you." Jungkook said, and the man hesitated.

"Okay, anyways. You boys needn't worry. This has only boosted your futures! You've all gotten accepted into the galactic navy already!" The man chuckled. "After you finish university, you can begin working there in an instant! At high positions too!"

"Wow. I-I guess that's good. This is still fucked up and could have killed us and we're very upset- but yeah, that's good." Jin said, and the men chuckled.

"Go out, now. Enjoy your lives back at home." The principal said, and the seven boys hummed and walked out of the room, all silent. They were silent all the way down the building until they were outside.

"That's so weird. They were watching us?? Ugh, that's weird." Jimin said, shuddering.

"But I guess we proved that love DOES prevail technological advancements," Yoongi said, and Hoseok laughed.

"We changed the galactic navy. We're heroes now, you guys." Hoseok said, and Namjoon hummed.

"Things will go back to normal, I guess. I mean we'll go back to our regular classes, regular friends, regular.... everything." Namjoon said, and Jin chuckled.

"Yeah. We didn't even know each other before this- and now..." Jin trailed and then paused.
There was a small silence, and then Taehyung hummed. "Well. It was fun hanging out with you guys for 3 months straight. As much as it sucked being near to death, I wouldn't want to do it with anyone other than you guys."

All of them smiled, and then Jimin cleared his throat. "Yeah. I've got to get home, catch up with studies and stuff." Jimin said.

"Me too," Yoongi said, and Hoseok sighed. "Me too."

"Do you think we'll stay friends?" Jungkook piped in a small voice. Yoongi patted his back.

"I don't know, Kook. We didn't know each other before, I guess things are going to back to that." Yoongi said, and Jungkook nodded, looking at Taehyung, who put his hand on Jungkook's back.

"Okay. Seems like this is the end of us. Bye." Namjoon said, and they all hesitated for a second, and then nodded, and waved at each other, turning around.

Taehyung and Jungkook began walking one way, Yoongi and Hoseok one way, Jimin another way, Jin another way, and Namjoon another way. They all walked a few steps away from each other, and then-

There was a pause. Jimin turned around. "Say, do you guys want to go out for lunch?"

"Absolutely!" Jungkook said, running back over to them. Taehyung smiled and ran back over too.

"Yeah. Also, forget that 'things going back to normal' crap. Let's be best friends and eat food together every day. Fuck it- let's start a fucking singing plus dancing plus rapping group together!" Yoongi said, and Taehyung chuckled.

"Okay, you're going a little overboard here. Us being some kind of idol k-pop boy group? Sounds super weird." Taehyung laughed, and so did all the boys.

"No but seriously. I love you guys. Who cares if we're off the ship- we don't have to change!" Namjoon said, and Jin nodded with a smile.

"Group hug!!" Jungkook squealed, and then they all groaned, but hugged each other anyway, trying to hide their bright, grateful, tenderhearted, happy smiles.
