Under the warm glow of the restaurant's dim lighting, Sonny and Moon sat across from each other. Today was their one year. Sonny glanced at the food plated in front of them, while Moon offered a smile that Sonny thought could outshine the moon itself.

"Can you believe it's been a year already?" Moon asked, drawing Sonny's eyes away from the food in front of them and instead to her girlfriend. Her voice was a mixture of wonder and affection, as she took in the sight of Sonny.

Sonny chuckled, running a nervous hand through the ends of her hair. "It feels like just yesterday you were all blushing and nervous to talk to me in math class." Moon continued.

Sonny laughed, her face heating up at the memory. "God, I was so nervous. I stayed in class like... three minutes after the bell rang because I was in so much shock that you talked to me." Sonny admitted, sticking her fork into her fettuccine alfredo. Moon's response was to reach across the table, her hand finding Sonny's free hand. "Well, I for one, thought it was really cute. I told Yasmine and Sam all about you that day at lunch."

Sonny's head fell, the blush on Sonny's face growing more by the second. How did she not know about that? Moon just smiled watching Sonny flustered before she pushed the small gift on her side of the table, towards Sonny. "Open."

Curiosity piquing, Sonny sat up and grabbed her gift from Moon. As she set the gift in her lap, Sonny sued her other hand to push her gift for Moon towards her. Sonny opened her gift first, revealing a small necklace with the moon on it. Sonny laughed, her smile uncontrollably wide. "I love it." She said through her laughs.

"Why are you laughing?" Moon asked, not sounding hurt, but confused as Sonny put the necklace on. Once the jewelry was on, Sonny grabbed Moon's hand and kissed her knuckles. "Open your gift." She responded. Moon squinted, a confused smile growing. Nonetheless, Moon started to open her gift. After a couple seconds, Moon gasped in excitement, pulling the gold necklace with a sun on it out of its wrapping. "Oh my God." She whispered through her own laughs.

She smiled up at Sonny across the table from her. "It's perfect, baby." She said as she put the necklace on.

Dinner passed in a blend of laughter after that. As they left the restaurant, the night led them to Sonny's job, the two of them wanting to play mini-golf and head to the arcade. Their playful rivalry came to life, with each putt and swing, their laughter mingling with the evening breeze.

"Looks like all those Miyagi-Do skills are good for something after all." Sonny teased after earning herself a hole-in-one. She twirled the club in her hands, moving to the side so Moon could go. Moon rolled her eyes playfully. "Show-off." She retorted.

Their playful banter continued as they made their way to a crowded arcade. Side by side, the two of them tackled game after game, from skee-ball to racing to air hockey, the tickets they were earning only piling up.

Their night out slowly started to come to an end when they reached the prize table. Chris was behind the counter and helped the girls count their tickets. They began exchanging their winnings, selecting an assortment of small trinkets: matching keychains, a booklet of Hello Kitty stickers, rings with huge plastic jewels covering them.

It was then that Sonny's gaze drifted upward at the wall of bigger prizes, catching sight of a tiger stuffed animal perched at the top of the wall behind the counter. A small smile grew on her face, remembering the sloth stuffed animal she got at their first time at Golf'n'Stuff. "Hey, Chris" Sonny started, catching the boys attention. Her eyes stayed glued on the stuffed animal. "Do we have enough for the tiger?"

Chris looked back and forth between the tiger's ticket price and his calculator that had what was left of Sonny and Moon's tickets. He smiled and nodded his head at Sonny. "Just enough." He said, making Sonny smile. "Lets get it."

Chris nodded, turning around to grab the small ladder to reach the prize. Sonny turned to Moon, her expression softening. "I love you, Moon. Happy one year." She breathed out, her voice barely above the noise around them. Moon's response was immediate. she smiled and combed a piece of Sonny's fallen hair behind her ears. "I love you too. Happy one year, baby." Her hand that was still on the side of Sonny's face pulled her closer until their lips met.

The kiss was quick, pulling away just as Chris got off the ladder with the tiger stuffed animal in hand. He placed the stuffed animal with the rest of the girls' prizes. Immediately, Sonny grabbed the tiger and handed it to Moon. "Here." She said through a smile.

Moon took the tiger and opened her mouth to protest, but Sonny spoke up first. "I got to keep the sloth from the first time we came her. You get the tiger." Sonny said and almost instantly blushed. She hugged the tiger closer to her chest and smiled down at it. "Since we named the sloth Sid, we can name the tiger Diego. Like Ice Age. They'll be a package deal like us."

Sonny smiled at the words, despite them being extremely cheesy, Sonny loved it. She nodded, leaning in to kiss Moons cheek. "Perfect."

...

The next day was busy for the Thompson sisters. After a long talk, Jess and Sonny made the decision to let Brandon move in. Jess and Brandon had been dating almost as long as Sonny and Moon had and despite it being such a short time, Brandon has shown he cares about Jess and Sonny even Sonny's friends considering he was always patching them up after fights.

There went that many boxes since Brandon wasn't moving into an empty home, but it was enough to tire out Sonny and make her arms sore. It had been a couple hours when they finally finished moving everything in. Now, Jess and Brandon were unpacking his things while Sonny tiredly trudged into her room.

She spun once she reached her bed so her back was to it before she fell back. Comfort immediately took over her body, glad she could finally relax.

Until her phone started to blow up with messages.

Sonny groaned at her phone ringing. Still lying down, Sonny reached for her phone on her nightstand and sighed at the Miyagi-Fang group chat telling everyone to go to the dojo. After letting her sister know where she was going, Sonny headed to Miyagi-Do, picking Demetri up on the way since he needed a ride.

"Do you know what this is about?" Sonny asked as they got out of the car. Demetri shrugged, trilling his lips as Sonny walked around the car to be on his side so they could walk into the dojo. "No clue. But I'm guessing it's karate related." He said and Sonny rolled her eyes. "Yeah, no shit." She laughed out. The two were about to walk to the backyard through the side gate, but stopped when Sam came running out of the inside of the building to them.

"I need you two inside." She said, not giving time for Sonny and Demetri to respond before she grabbed both of their wrists and pulled them into the dojo.

"You know you don't have to pull us." Sonny said as they entered the building. Demetri hissed in pain when Sam finally let go. "I feel like I just got rug burn." He complained, rubbing his wrist.

"Still constantly complaining. Classic Sonny and Demetri." A voice spoke and Sonny froze. Her eyes widened as she slowly looked up. "Robby." She breathed out, shocked that the boy was standing in front of them.

As soon as Sonny and Demetri turned to him, Robby struggled to make eye contact. He nervously pushed his hands into his pockets and turned to the ground. "I'm sorry." He started. Both Sonny and Demetri rose their eyebrows.

"I know I'm gonna have to make amends with everyone, and I will. But I wanted to start with you guys." Robby finally looked up at the two and bit his lip. "When I got out of juvie, I was worried you guys wouldn't want to be friends with me since you were closer with Miguel. I was worried you guys blamed me."

Sonny's shocked expression fell to a sad one. Of course she was heartbroken over Miguel's state, but she never once blamed Robby. He didn't do it on purpose. He didn't have to even tell her and she knew that. There was a part of her mad for what he and Cobra Kai had done to Eli, but she forgave Hawk after he did much worse, so she brushed it off.

"I let Cobra Kai get into my head. It... it blinded me. Made me look away from what was right and good. But I'm done with that and I'm done with them." Robby said, shaking his head vigorously at the mention of Cobra Kai. He stopped and sighed. "I just hope you guys could forgive me. I could use a couple friends in here. I know not everyone here likes me." Robby said sheepishly, shrugging his shoulders. He then pushed his shoulders back anxiously as he waited for either of them to respond.

Instead of speaking, Sonny walked towards the boy. Robby watched as she walked towards him with wide eyes, waiting to see what she would do. When she wrapped her arms around his shoulders and pulled him into a hug, Robby relaxed.

Sonny smiled when she felt Robby hug her back. "Welcome back, Robby." She whispered. She pulled away from the hug and continued to smile at the boy as Demetri walked towards the two. Robby gave the girl a grateful smile and a small nod before he turned to Demetri. "Good to know I don't have to fight you anymore." Demetri joked. Robby snickered at the boys words, grabbing his shoulder and pulling him into a hug.

...

After finally explaining that Daniel was in a funk because of Silver, Sam made Sonny, Demetri, and Robby hide in one of the training rooms while Daniel walked in so he wouldn't see them. Amanda and Sam led him into Mr. Miyagi's old bedroom, giving the three teens the all clear to walk out and wait for a moment to make their presence known and hopefully help Daniel.

"Every time I try to fight for what's right, somebody gets hurt. I can't fail these kids again." Daniel asked. Sonny frowned, looking behind her to look at Demetri. The boy held the same expression. She turned back around right when Robby turned to look back at the two of them.

The three of them looked between each other, having a silent conversation and when Robby nodded, Sonny took a deep breath. She pushed herself off the wall and walked past Robyb to be seen in the doorway. "You didn't fail us." Sonny spoke, her voice soft spoken as Robby and Demetri came out from behind the wall to stand with her, Sam leaving her dads side to join them.

Daniel's eyes watered at the sight of his first four students standing in front of him. "Sam told us what was going on." Demetri said, pushing his hands into his front pockets nervously. Robby took a step forward, a small smile on his face in hopes to cheer Daniel up. "You know, when you first met me, I was a messed-up kid. But you gave me a job. And a home. And a purpose." He said.

Sonny waited a few seconds for Daniel and Robby to finish their moment before she grabbed Demetri's hand and took a step forward to stand beside Robby, dragging Demetri with her. "When you first met us, we were scared, dweeby teens." She said, carrying the same smile as Robby.

Demetri shrugged. "We are still pretty dweeby." He said, making the room chuckle, easing the air. Sonny took a deep breath, tilting her head at Daniel. "We were being picked on by our best friend and Kreese made us feel like we were nothing." She said. Sonny waited until Daniel looked at her before she spoke again. This man, someone who was always there to help her when she was down, reflected a father figure for her. He helped her and other so much and for him to think he only made their lives worse broke her heart.

"You showed us strength. You made us believe in ourselves." Sonny said, her words lighthearted yet forceful, hoping to push it's way into Daniel's mind. Robby nodded in agreement with the girl. "You can't just give up." He added.

Robby's words seemed to strike a nerve for the man because immediately, he started shaking his head guiltily. He took a careful step towards the four teens in front of him. "Robby, the things I did— juvie, I was... I was just trying to help you." Daniel said, his voice broken as he continued to shake his head.

Robby took a step forward, making Daniel freeze. "No, I'm... I'm sorry. I should've listened to you about Cobra Kai." Robby said and Sonny scoffed out a laugh. "Any of us could've told you that." She muttered, instantly earning elbows to both sides of her ribs from Demetri and Sam and a glare from Robby.

Sonny muttered a small apology, clearing her throat. Robby sighed, not necessarily upset with her considering she was right. He turned back to Daniel and shook his head. "But I didn't understand until I started mentoring someone myself. Now Silver's got a hold on this kid. There's some others in thereI care about too, and, uh, we need to stop Cobra Kai." He said. Sonny looked back and forth to Sam and Demetri before the three of them walked to stand with Robby.

"But we can't do it without you. Sensei." Sonny said, a small smile on her face. Daniel's eyes, still watering, blinked rapidly. Sam walked up to her dad and grabbed his hand. "Dad, not everyone has someone like you to protect them and teach them. It's time that all of us join this fight." Sam said.

Daniel's eyebrows furrowed, confused by his daughters words. "All of us?" He asked quietly. Sam looked back at Robby, Sonny, and Demetri before she turned back to her dad and smiled widely. She started to pull her father out of Mr. Miyagi's room and to the doors that led to the backyard of the dojo.

Robby slowly opened the doors for Daniel, revealing all of Miyagi-Do, Eagle Fang, Chozen, and Johnny. Daniel let out a small gasp at the sight in front of him. Slowly, he walked out of the dojo, almost in shock. Sonny, Demetri, and Robby walked passed Daniel, moving to stand with the other students. Sonny and Demetri joined Eli's side, Sonny in between the two boys while Robby stood beside Miguel as Sam stayed beside her father. "You're not alone anymore. So what do you say, Dad? Will you fight?"

Daniel stayed frozen, looking back and forth between his daughter and his other students before he slowly started to smile.
