☼ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍ ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴛʀᴜᴇ☾

Sonny and Moon have been official for a week when Sonny arranged a get together at the beach with her friends and Moon, wanting them to get to know her better. Of course, Demetri and Hawk have already hung out with Moon before but Sonny wanted them all to be friends which is why her, Moon, Demetri, Hawk and Bert were at the beach. Aisha couldn't come and Miguel was late.

Sonny was lying her head in Moons lap as Demetri and Hawk played volleyball and Bert made sandcastles. "Oh this'll be great." Sonny sarcastically muttered, pushing her sunglasses up as she watched Demetri stick his arm out, ready to hit the volleyball.

Demetri hit the ball, only for it to bounce off the net, making Sonny snicker. Moon whacked Sonny's arm, making Sonny look up at her girlfriend who was trying to hold back a laugh too. "Mulligan, send it back." Demetri said, making Sonny turn to him.

"What the hell's a mulligan?" "There's no mulligans in volleyball." Hawk said, turning to Sonny before looking back at Demetri who groaned. "Says you. Water break!"

Demetri used one of Hawk's spare Cobra Kai towels to wipe his face as two girls the group had never seen before walked over. "Cobra Kai? You guys one that karate tournament, right?" Demetri's eyes went wide as he slowly nodded. "The All Valley? The Rumble in Reseda? Yes uh.. We certainly did." Demetri said, leaning against the volleyball net post.

Sonny started laughing, making Moon quickly throw a hand over her mouth as the girl Demetri was talking with smiled. "Cool. We're gonna go for a swim but maybe play with you later?"

Demetri trilled his lips, shrugging. "Most def. Uh, that means most definitely." The two girls laughed, walking away and once they were far enough, Moon removed her hand from Sonny's mouth, letting her laughs be heard. "Look at you, player." Moon sang, slightly kicking Demetri's shin.

"It'd be nice if you earned the Cobra Kai cred you're so happy to take. When are you gonna sign up?" Hawk asked. Demetri shrugged, pointing in the spot the two random girls once stood. "I don't know. I'm kinda enjoying the gain without the pain."

"Hawk." A voice grumbled from behind Sonny and Moon. Sonny sat up, smiling at Miguel until she saw his upset face. "Hey! There's the man." Hawk cheered until he also caught on to Miguel's glum look. "No. No more of this. Look, it's a beautiful day out. The beach is packed with babes. No more sulking about Sam."

"I'm not sulking about Sam. It's about Sensei." Miguel said and Sonny huffed at the mention of the man. "Is this about his rap sheet? My parents read it online. I think it makes him more badass." Miguel rolled his eyes. It's about him and Robby Keene."

Sonny straightened up at the mention of the boy but before she could ask any questions, Miguel and Hawk left the beach.

"So, the three of us are still on for Valley Fest, right?" Moon asked hopefully and Sonny instantly nodded as Demetri sighed. "Will I be third wheeling?" Sonny pulled her lips into a line and squinted as if she were thinking before nodding. "Most likely." Demetri sighed. "Whatever. Yeah. I'll go."

The two girls cheered before Demetri cleared his throat. "Can I talk to Moon really quick. Very important." Sonny looked at the two weirdly as a happy realization hit Moon's face and she shot up, following Demetri a few feet away.

Sonny sighed, turning to Bert who was standing on one side of the volleyball net, holding the ball. "Wanna play?"

After a few hours later of leaving the beach, Sonny and Moon would meet Demetri at Valley Fest. Sonny was finally off her crutches, still a little slow trying to get used to walking normally again.

The three had been at the fair for a few hours, only doing mainly carnival games since Demetri didn't want to go on rides but if the girls ever did want to go on a ride, they go while Demetri gets some snacks.

Sonny and Moon just got off the tilt a whirl, dizzy and giggling messes as Demetri waited for them at the ride exit with three slushees; a cherry, blue raspberry and a coke. He passed Sonny the blue raspberry and Moon the coke while he kept the cherry when microphone feedback was heard from the stage, making the three turn.

"All right, all right, all right! Coming up next, do I have a treat for you. Please direct your attention to the LaRusso Auto Group for a presentation from Miyagi-Do Karate."

Sonny looked back and forth between Moon and Demetri, her brows furrowed. "Miyagi-Do?" She whispered to the two and Demetri nodded. "Oh, yeah. You haven't seen the commercial yet?" Sonny shook her head before turning back to the stage when the music started playing.

Sonny watched as three figures started moving under the lights but she couldn't see who they were but guessed two of them were Sam and her father.

Everyone clapped as Moon leaned towards Sonny's ear. "Is there gonna be any fighting?" Sonny's face scrunched, her head tilting to the side in confusion. "I think so."

The lights finally turned on, revealing Sam, her father and Robby Keene. Mr. LaRusso ran off stage and came back with a stick.

He fought Sam and Robby with the stick, making the crowd cheer and the three on stage smile. "And now, time for the grand finale." Mr. LaRusso announced before going off stage once again, coming back with a rack of ice blocks. Sonny brows furrowed as she bumped shoulders with Moon. "What is he doing?" Demetri shrugged, letting out an airy laugh. "No clue."

Just before the man could do anything with the ice. The lights turned off and a group screamed from behind the crowd.

"Cobra Kai!"

Sonny's smile dropped as she turned around, seeing her old team run up to the stage, chanting the dojo name.

The crowd ran to the front of the stage, Sonny staying put in her spot, leaving her towards the back of the crowd. Moon was the only one that seemed to notice Sonny and stayed beside her as Demetri went to the front.

Sonny watched as the Cobra Kai's did synchronized moves on stage when they started fighting Miguel being the last one standing, making her smile and slowly walk to Demetri, pulling Moon with her.

Next, Hawk put a blindfold on Aisha as Mitch, Doug and Mikey all held out boards. One by one, Aisha kicked every board, not missing a single one. Sonny immediately started cheering for her friend.

After everyone cheered for Aisha, Hawk ran for the edge of the stage, going to grab Sonny's arm before remembering she was still trying to get used to her knee. He sent her a sad smile before grabbing the back of Demetri's shirt, pulling him onto stage. Hawk handed him a board and Demetri stuck his arms out, squinting his eyes in free that Hawk would miss the board and hit him instead. But of course, Hawk hit the board, making Sonny scream, clapping her hands crazily.

Johnny Lawrence walked onto the stage and that was when Sonny stopped clapping again, her mood dampening. Mitch and Chris wheeled out a stack of cement blocks, making Sonny's eye go wide.

"Cobras, light it up!" Johnny screamed. Mikey and Doug walked towards the cement; Mikey putting lighter fluid on them as Doug lit it with a blow torch. Johnny brought his fist to the cement and it crumbled under his fist. Sonny's jaw dropped as the crowd cheered. "How was that even possible?"

"Come on" Sonny screamed, having both Moon and Demetri's arms linked with hers, pulling them both to the ferris wheel. When Demetri realized where Sonny was leading them to, he stopped walking, tugging his arm out of her grasp. "Hell no." Sonny sighed, turning around to her friend.

"Demet-" "What if the wheel falls off the base and starts rolling down the street?! That wouldn't be good for the people on the ride or the streets itself!" Sonny rolled her eyes as she let out an annoyed groan. "Oh my God, Demi!" "I'm am just trying to be safe. You two go."

"Come on. We can go." Moon giggled out, pulling Sonny to the ferris wheel. When the two got to the front of the line, Sonny's brows furrowed at the sight of her sister working the ferris wheel. "Jess? What are you doing here?" Sonny asked, making Jess turn, smirking as she shrugged. "Needed the money."

This time, Moons brows furrowed. "Don't people volunteer to work here?" Jess' eyes went wide as she cursed under her breath. "Shit. I thought I was gonna get paid. Whatever. Hop on." She grumbled, opening the door of the pod. The two girls easily climbed in and being the last ones to enter the ride meant it started right away.

The higher the two got on the wheel, the more fun they started to have, the two girls shaking the pod to make the ride more interesting.

When they reached the very top, the ride stopped. Sonny held onto the handle bars tighter. "What's going on?" Sonny asked quietly, peaking over the edge of the pod where she could see Jess and Demetri sitting in the work booth, waving widely to the two.

From behind her, Moon put pink glasses on Sonny before doing the same with her own.

Sonny turned around to face Moon who was digging in her mini backpack, pulling out Reese's peanut butter cups. "Here you go, darling." Moon hummed, handing Sonny the bag of candy as she pushed the glasses father up her nose.

Sonny looked at Moon in shock, a small smile growing on her face. "Demetri told me about your dream board." Moon mumbled, making realization hit Sonny like a truck.

This was her dream board.

The ferris wheel, the heart sunglasses and the reese's peanut butter cups. This was what she wanted. It was probably dumb but it was what she dreamed of.

"That's why Demetri wanted to talk with me about the beach. He accidentally slipped it up about you having a dream board a few days ago and then at the beach he told me I should do it tonight at Valley Fest tonight. So, surprise!" Moon sang, doing jazz hands, making Sonny giggle, bringing a hand up to her face to cover her laughs.

Moon had a faint smile on her face as she cupped Sonnys cheek, pulling her towards her by the edge of her jaw until their lips met. Sonny heard fireworks go off, not only in her head but in real life to, making the girls slowly pull away and look up at the purple fireworks above them. Sonny smiled, letting out an airy laugh before looking back at Moon who was already looking at her. Sonny, not breaking eye contact with Moon, grabbed the girls hand and gave it a squeeze. Moon returned it, bringing Sonnys hand to her face and kissing her knuckles, making Sonny blush.

And in that moment, the two were the happiest they had ever been.
