i used to think that kids are annoying and a burden

i thought i would be that mom who would dump her children

leave them with family, just so that she could go out and party

i thought i would surrender responsibility at every opportunity

what i didn't count on was motherhood changing me

it taught me to wait

it taught me empathy

it taught me to be kind to myself and people around me

motherhood is humbling

it made me a better person

but when you think about it...

even a tiger is tamed by her children
