I was sitting on the side of the road selling collard greens mama needed gone from the store. I was looking at my phone bored outta my mind it was a slow day. I looked up when I saw someone pull up the license plate said California and I knew they were a long way from home. I never expected to see a beautiful lady with long brown hair and blue green is eyes. She was a sight her hair was throwed half assed up in a ponytail. But she was beautiful none the less. I walked up to her while she was reading my sign she looked like she was about to bust a guy trying not to laugh.

"Is there some way, I can help ya?" I asked.

She smiled up at me"Yes... can you please tell me how to get back to the interstate." She sounded so angry probably cause she was lost.

I understood where she was coming from. It was quite confusing around here"Why l sure can." I smiled so big it hurt my cheeks but I wanted to see her happy and I don't even know her name. "Ya just get back on this road here. Go straight down till you get to the Warnsville crossing. You'll see Rallie's grocery story at the crossing." give her a look thinking about how she could probably eat so I give her directions to mama store. "Tell ya what, why don't you stop in and get you some of Ms. Belle's sweet tea. You look like you could use it. Then you can take a right to get to the interstate, or a left will get you right back here to me." I smiled brightly at her and she started smiling back. I felt like I achieved a award. she really is pretty although I bet she has a boyfriend I know she's not engaged no ring on her finger.

"T-Thank you." She finally manages to get out before getting in her car that is filled with stuff. I wonder where she's going. I watch her leave and then kick my self for not getting her name. I call Jacob and tell him about her.

"Hey man what's up?" He says as he answers the phone.

"Nothing much just up here selling collard greens. You wanna come up here and sit with me we need to talk?" I asked. 
"Yeah I'll be up there soon." He hangs up.

I sit here and wait for Jacob while I think about her I really wish I would have gotten her name or maybe a number. I hear Jacobs truck before I see it. I shake my head at his cherry bombs that he had put on a while back. He pulls next to my work truck and comes to sit on the tail gate with me.

"So what ya wanna talk about man?" He asked while he sat and pulled out a cigarette and lit it.

"I met a girl just now but she's probably way out my league and has a boyfriend." I say disappointed.

He sarcastically gasp"You met someone?? What was she like? But how do you know she has a girlfriend and what's her name?" He fires questions faster then I can answer.

"I could just tell she had a boyfriend she was too pretty to be single. I didn't get her name I told her to go to Mama's store to eat." I said shaking my head taking my cap off and running my fingers through my hair.

Silence is what I get in return I look up and see Jacob looking at me like the fool I am. I groan "Look I know I messed up by not getting her name but I just wanted to help. If it makes you feel better I didn't give her my name either."

"No it doesn't make me feel better if anything it makes me aggervated that you couldn't ask a simple question." He says shaking his head.

All of a sudden we both hear a car and I swear my eyes must be playing tricks on me cause what I see is a miracle. It's her car coming down the road and her waving through the windshield I think I might have a heart attack. I look over to Jacobs who's smiling like a fool.

"It's a sign man!" He says laughing.
