The next morning I woke up to help mama with the store. Last night me and Jacob went to the party he got drunk while I sat on the side lines people watching. It was kinda nasty if ya ask me all them people sucking each other face like leech's. A few minutes later Jacob came stumbling up to me telling me to take him home. I quickly got him into the truck and home. Then I went home to sleep.

The next day i was suppose to go to the farm but Jacob had text me and told me he wasn't going today. So I went to help mama at the store selling vegetables and stocking shelves or really anything she needs done. We were on the way to the store and

I asked her "What ya need me to do today?" 

"Oh I just need you to sell some vegetables. They need to go fast so I can make room for more if you don't mind sweetie." She replied.

"No problem mama you tell me what you need gone and I'll load it up and take it to sale." I replied. 

Later that day I was almost done selling all the vegetables mama told me to sell. I got a phone call from mama telling me to come back to the store to help her stock the shelves. She was talking about her quilting friend's and what they we're working on. 

"Why haven't you found anyone yet Opie? You don't need to be alone for the rest of your life. I want great grand babies one day." She told me out me blue.

"I don't really know mama everyone around here I grew up with. I know what every one is like and I just want something different." I replied sadly. I've never really been in a relationship because of that reason. It's like if you were with someone and then ya'll broke up you'd have to see that person every day in a small town like ours. Needless to say it wouldn't be healthy for me or them.

"Well she'll come sooner or later just be patient." she assured me.

"I know mama i just wish it was sooner rather then later." I replied irritated. Sometimes waiting gets hard and I just want to love her whoever she is.
