Me and Kate we're in the backseat of opies truck while him and Jacob were in the front see smiling to each other thinking about what they had set up. Kate didn't know yet but I knew she would be happy. Technically I'm happy for her she met both Opie and Jacob earlier and she pulled me aside immediately to ask if Jacob was single. I broke the bad news and told her he was engaged. She looked so crushed. No need to worry Jase was waiting at the shop which is where we we're going around the moment. Opie said that he needed to get his truck put on the computer cause it wasn't driving right. Our plan would fall in plan as soon as she saw Jase. I was beyond excited.

"So what are you guys smiling about?" Kate asked out the blue. I snorted as soon as I heard it come out her mouth.

"Nothing." They answered immediately at the same time. Way not to look suspicious at all I thought as I shook my head. I would have rolled my eyes but I didn't want them to fall out my head at the tremendous eye roll I was gonna do.

Kate all of a sudden looked at me I looked away so fast I think I got whip lash. I knew if I didn't she would squeeze it out of me.

"Mer what aren't you telling me?" She asked.

"Nothing girl just sit back and enjoy the ride. I think we're suppose to ride horses later right Opie?" I asked trying to get the attention off of me.

"Oh yeah. You like horses right Kate?" He asked trying to redirect conversation.

Her eyes lit up
"Omg I haven't rode a horse in forever!" She squealed so loudly it made Opie serve off the road. She muttered a quick sorry while she was still smiling. Opie looked at me in the mirror and smiled I smiled back.

Kate leaned over and said "I totally ship it" while smirking at me

"No way." I said while shaking my head I wouldn't allow myself to get close to someone when I knew Kayden was close behind me. I didn't want anyone getting hurt on my behalf.

"Shit I'm sorry mer I totally forgot." She said while frowning. "Does he know about him?" She asked. I nodded my head while still frowning.

"Its okay. I'm use to it." I said while shrugging. I really was though. I've always been alone because of him I just didn't want anyone other then my self getting hurt. It isn't right they get hurt cause of my stupid problem.

We soon pulled up to the shop and all hopped out. I pulled Kate aside and was talking to her until she stopped talking and looked over my shoulder. I waved my hand in front of her face but I doubt she saw it. I knew what she did see and I could see the hope in her eyes.

"Is he single?" She asked in a whispered tone.

"Yes he is his name is Jase would you like to talk to him?" I laughed.

She nodded and started over to him with the biggest smile I have ever seen on her face.

"Hi I'm Kate." She greeted.

"I'm Jase Opie told me your from Florida. That must be pretty cool." He said while smiling down at her.

"Oh yeah definitely it's really warm down there though it doesn't really differ up here does it?" She laughed. And they walked away and started talking on their own. All of a sudden Opie and Jacob turned around to face me and we all high fived like ten year olds. Laughing I looked over to my friend hoping she could keep him even if I couldn't keep Opie.
